The breakfast is similar to Hampton Inn, with a similar style, but there are fewer fruits and juices to choose from. The room is large and the air conditioning is powerful, but the overall facilities are a bit old. Overall it's good

What a lovely staff we encountered at our stay here. We checked in across from the hospital before some expected severe weather to avoid driving up the day before a planned surgery worrying about the weather. Overnight a rare (predicted) snow and ice storm made the area impassable for car traffic. The hospital ended up cancelling the surgery and we were stuck! Luckily Olive Garden was open for a few hours the first day and then Outback was open for a few hours the following day and both are walkable (although trickier with snow and ice!). There are no new hotels in this area and none of them have great reviews but I needed to be close to hospital so I chose this one based on my Marriott status. The hotel is older and does not seem to have been remodeled so the staff are dealing with a more difficult maintenance scenario, for sure. My room was clean and my bedding was fresh. It was simple with an older (non streaming) tv with basic channels. There was not a lot of noise but it was also not their busy season. What really stood out for me was the human interaction of the staff, who were personable amd friendly and really cared about my mom. The owner of this hotel should give them all a raise. Manager Correna and her Jocelyn, Georgia and Warner all managed to get there in spite of the weather (I think Jocelyn had to walk to work through these horrible conditions) were all fantastic and took great care of my mother and I. Most of Savannah was completely shut down but these people were hard at work and making sure we were ok. Surgery was rescheduled and we will be back again next week.

Very worn down Springhill which is one of the worst if not the worst I've stayed in. As a high level Bonvoy member, I immediately saw this run down property and regretted the reservation. The breakfast was substantially under par for a Springhill. The room blind did not work. The toilet needed a magic touch to make flush. The staff, except the person doing the breakfast work, were uninterested and perfunctory. Marriott, if you are engaging in reviews, this one needs your attention and removal from the brand.

Upon entering the lobby, I had an uneasy feeling. The front desk had cracked and missing tiles, the curved sofa in the lobby was dirty as were the pillows. The front desk staff were pleasant. We were given a room on the third floor. As we walked to the room, a musty smell permeated the air, the carpet was filthy with obvious stains throughout, and the floor was noticeably uneven. When we entered our "suite", my heart sank further. We were greeted with more carpet stains, dirty walls and wallpaper that was peeling. The A/C was super loud, and the refrigerator was defrosting (?). There was a damp feeling in the room, accompanied by a musty smell. Thank goodness I travel with my own pillowcases and bedroom slippers. I ended up throwing my slippers away because the thought of bringing them home after using them on the filthy floor just didn't sit well with me. As for the indoor pool, it was nasty as well. Just fill it with some marine life and call it a day. We didn't partake in the complimentary breakfast. The coffee in the lobby was awful so I switched to hot tea except, the hot water was anything but. There was a cold-water dispenser in the lobby that looked to have a container of lemons inside to flavor the water. I wondered how often those lemons were being replaced. Oh well. Take note, before arrival, we actually received a message that stated, " Please pardon our dust". It should've stated, "please pardon our DUMP. We saw no signs whatsoever of any renovations taking place. We are Lifetime Titanium Elite Members and foolishly went along with our friend's suggestion of staying at this "heartbreak hotel". Never again! Btw, the pictures shown on the website are not current at all. Shame on Marriott/owners.

I have stayed at Marriotts all over the country. I love spring hills but this one was a pass. It is a good location to historic district but Its poorly run. It's tired looking and wall paper in first floor hall and bathroom needs replacing. There was no water in the lobby and the tap water was very chlorinated. They gave us a small bottle at check in but wouldn't give us another one the next day. The water in the gym was also not working. Our bathroom wasn't very clean initially but after a note and tip to the housekeeper, it was cleaned nicely. Mostly the staff weren't helpful nor friendly. I have gold elite status but that didn't stop them for giving me a back alley view. The JW Marriot was $150 more and would have been well worth it. The JW was beautiful.

This hotel needs to be remodeled. It is in need of a very good deep cleaning. Our 1st room, refrigerator broken and shower needed to be cleaned. Our 2nd room, still needed to be cleaned. Plus it's 4 July weekend in GA, and the pool is "out of order."

This is yet anotherMarriott franchise that does not need to have a Marriott name. i am so tired of this continued poor performance. The person at the front desk did not know Marriott had status for members??? Really.? He thought Bonvoy was just a marketing term. the rooms are sub par. i have spent over 100k in rooms and conferences and moving to Hilton now .

This was by far the worst Marriott property I have ever stayed at. At check in , there was only one desk clerk and he was on the phone making a reservation with someone. While another guest and myself waited to check in. When he finally finished, he got each of us checked in fairly quickly but it was like dealing with a robot. No personality and he spoke so softy I could barely hear him. When I was walking down the hall to my room, there was a strong smell of "****", in a smoke free property! When I went into my room(330), it smelled very stale and musty. There was a lot of mold around the shower. The bed was too close to the wall unit air conditioner. Everything was just run down and outdated. I will never stay at this hotel again! Thankfully, I had only booked one night but never again. You only get one chance with me!
