The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of major attractions, making it a great base for exploring the area. The room features traditional Japanese-style interiors but feels quite dated, including the furniture. On the positive side, the buffet for both dinner and breakfast offers a wide variety of options to suit different tastes. A standout feature is the free shuttle service from Sapporo Station, which adds convenience for travelers. Overall, it’s a practical choice for its location and amenities, though the rooms could use some updates.

Room is huge and clean with private onsen. The public bath is impressive, happened to soak when it was snowing, great and unforgettable vibe! Everything is perfect with the stay. The staff is extremely nice and helpful, one wouldn’t discover how great the service is when things go smooth and will take things for granted. We received extra and timely assistance from the hotel staff when upon checking out, our car battery died down, the reception staff had helped with communicating and a team of staff had helped with re-igniting the car battery for us, can’t thank them more when we have a plane to catch in that morning. Really appreciate their professionalism! It’s the people who made our stay even unforgettable!

If you drive there by yourself, it would be very inconvenient to take the bus. It was around 5 pm when we arrived. It was already dark. There was no one at the front desk. Maybe there was a shortage of manpower. There was only one service staff serving us that day. We waited for 5 days. It took about a minute to see the front desk clerk. He should have gone out to get our dinner, but the service was very considerate and he even took the initiative to help us carry our luggage upstairs👍🏼. The room was large, the hot spring was very comfortable, and both dinner and breakfast were delicious. , my daughter brought a lot of self-service snacks downstairs, we all thought it was very good, you can also watch Netflix, the hygiene is also very good, there are many sweaters and bathrobes 👍🏼

For our family of two adults and one child, the hotel provided a room with four beds and enough space to easily accommodate four futons. It was fantastic!

Love it so much!!! Very big and complete place to stay for relaxation on your holidays. Good views and comfortable rooms.
A lot of Spaces to relax.
Unluckily that my health is not suitable for onsen so I missed opportunity to use them.
Pingpong room is interesting, I want to play if I wasn’t there alone.
Good dinner and buffet breakfast, but would be much better if I can change beef to pork or other meats.
Surprisingly, this hotel connects to Shika no Yu. Some facilities can be used together, so I roamed around and enjoyed a lot.
An evening lounge to enjoy music and snacks was so good. I really wish to stay here again!
Oh, one more thing, I had a nice pic from window to show you first snow of 2024!!

Overall, the experience at Cuishanxi was very good, but the service of several male waiters left me with a very bad experience. One was the male waiter who checked in. His overall reaction was very bland. Having stayed in so many high-end hotels, I felt that his attitude was average and indifferent. At that time, we were not told that we needed to pay 150 yen per person for the private hot spring. I was wondering why they didn't tell us that it was not necessary? But the most annoying thing was the male waiter who checked out the next day, a thin male waiter. When we checked out, we asked him if there was a bus (although there was no bus when we asked before checking in, just a tentative question to see if there were any variables), he said no, it was normal to get here. Then we asked him to book a taxi for us. He said he was very busy now. Didn't he think about making an appointment when he got up in the morning? ? Oh my God, am I here to stay in the hotel, or do I want you to teach me? I didn't say that a taxi would pick me up immediately. I just booked a car. It's my own problem to arrive early or late. Do I need to listen to you teach me how to do things? Fortunately, when we walked around and went back, we met a female receptionist with a very good attitude. She was very kind to help us consider three options and even tried to help us coordinate the bus position. In the end, we took the bus. Otherwise, I would definitely complain to this man! So I strongly recommend that other male waiters learn more from this woman!

The hotel is amazing. Coming from Toya Onsen Hotel, the facilities of this hotel are simply a step up and there are no tour groups.
The whole hotel is designed with traditional Japanese elements. The children are saying that the owner of this hotel must be obsessed with traditional culture. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the toiletries are from Pola.
Not many people are in the hot spring. The 4th floor is a large public bath, and B1 has an open-air bath. When we went there, there were some people on the 4th floor, but no one on B1, so we enjoyed the open-air bath alone.
Dinner was served one by one, which was good for taking photos and delicious. We added two roast beef, one tempura and a bottle of wine, which cost 500rmb, which was worth it.
We didn't have a chance to go to the night lounge, but we will go there next time to experience it.
The hotel is very close to the attractions in Jozankei, and it's great to just walk around and see.

The staff are very nice and helpful. They can speak good English and that helps us a lot. We only spent a night at the hotel and had to leave at 6am in the morning for the airport. The hotel was very considerate and very kind to allow us to substitute the lunch buffet for the breakfast buffet which otherwise we would miss.
The hotel was on the mountain and the cottage was nicely decorated. We spent a very romantic night in the snowy weather enjoying the cozy onsen.
The food at the dinner buffet was very delicious and in a great variety.
We are thinking about returning for a longer stay.

QQueenieThe dinner at Chusuishan Hotel [strong] [strong] [strong], from the moment I entered the hotel, I started to enjoy the food, including welcome snacks, welcome drinks, afternoon tea, dinner, bar time, midnight snack, breakfast, fruit meal... I couldn't stop until I checked out [silly smile]. The 4 stars for this service are for the waiter Xiaoyu, who answered questions patiently and carefully during the check-in process. The two stars were deducted for the driver who saw me pulling the suitcase down the stone steps and didn't help me. I asked him to help but he didn't help. This is the worst service I have ever encountered in Japan

Nnoel limPremises is very clean and location is good. View from the room and the lobby is also very good. The only downside is that any request is rejected. Its always no, no and no. Not really suitable for families. Breakfast is pathetic with no spread at all.

AAnonymous UserThe location is very good, you can walk to nearby attractions and the station is nearby. The room is clean and sanitary, the view outside the window is beautiful, it is built along the stream, and the open-air hot spring view is even more beautiful. The Japanese breakfast is rich and delicious. A hotel worth recommending.

GGuest UserIt was good. There were not many people when I went there. It was very quiet. I didn't encounter the Koreans who were noisy as described in Xiaohongshu. Photography is not allowed in public areas, but when I saw my compatriots taking a rock bath, I took my phone in without saying a word. I was a little speechless.

SSolomochiThe view from the balcony is refreshing. The room was small and cozy. The bedding, indoor bath, toilet, and kitchen were all clean. The ”personal recommendations” for restaurants in the guidebook were helpful. I think it's the perfect place to go alone and refresh yourself.

SShervinIt might have not been clearly mentioned but there is no air-conditioning provided, only central heating. During my time there, weather was cold out so the room only had 3 levels, low heat, medium heat and high heat. There is no way to sleep in those conditions and it took me a while to realize because the receptionist on the help desk phone did not speak English, so I went down to the lobby past midnight to ask the only staff available. Through some help on google translate and his hand gestures, I was told that I had to leave my windows open to let cold air into the room. This was not explained at any point during the check-in so I guess that's the downside for foreigners wanting to stay here. There's also a hot spring tax you have to pay when you check out. All things considered Jozankei is not a big town so everything is accessible and the hotel is generally comfortable otherwise.

CCookie118The service and amenities were great, as well as the onsen. Breakfast was also very good too. The check-in and check-out were very easy to do, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The local was ok, I recommend this place of you want to stay out side of sapporo, but if you plan on comuting into the city then be mindful of how long it takes. The room was really clean and tidy, but it did see a few ants in my room. (I visited in winter so if you go in the other seasons you may be fine)
