Amazing place to stay if you want to experience something less busy and touristy than Sapa main town! The manager Tu was so helpful with giving suggestions on where to go, taxi services, train services etc and spoke really good English! Minh was extremely kind in helping with bags and even dropped breakfast up to the house for our mum who wasn’t feeling well! Amazing location, food, accommodation and staff! 10/10 would highly recommend!

After staying at a variety of places we found Lucky Daisy to be the best place to stay in the village of Tavan. We have been travelling to Vietnam almost yearly since 2008 and always visit the far north as this area has the most spectacular scenery. Lucky Daisy has several places to choose from and is run from their office at the the bufaalo house which offers a great atmosphere to relax with a nice drink and great food. Great staff, very helpful and all speak English which is a big help. The location is also very good. 15 minute walk from the village centre that have a few great restaurants, a pharmacy and grocery shops. Near the school you find a ban-mi stand during the day.

A breath of fresh air after the hustle and bustle of Hanoi. Very friendly staff and helpful reception. Nice terrace with good food in Bamboo Bar. Ideal for a day trip with a guide in the valley. Locals should do something about litter on the way to the cottages.
