Topas Ecolodge is situated 18 km outside of Sapa town, (a 45-minute drive). The road meanders through valleys, local villages, and mountains and can be expected to be in poor condition at times. You may have to stop once in awhile to let a buffalo cross the street! Our bungalows were surrounded by pure nature with rustic but comfy interior design, hoping to help you completely escape from everyday life and immerse yourself into pure nature. You can spend the whole day on your private balcony mesmerized by the mountains, in our two saltwater infinity pools, or the Rice spa. We are so excited to welcome you here at Topas Ecolodge and our little slice of Vietnam. So go ahead and escape your busy city life and truly experience the peacefulness and authenticity of a real mountain getaway.Show More

Kauntuo land rights were filled, and during the fire season, there was no cold water in the accommodation, and even though it was expensive, the scenery was good. The swimming pool was good, and the food at the restaurant was delicious. The road to get there was very difficult. But the air conditioner works well. When you close the door, you have to close it quickly to prevent bugs from coming in. 500,000 won is just for the scenery. The stars are so pretty at night, but it's a fire festival to fill up the land rights ^^

Serenity. Lovely accommodations on a splendidly picturesque mountain top. Service is very good and food is excellent. There are three restaurants. Enjoyed two guided moderate hikes. 2 Gorgeous infinity pools. Enjoyed a well-priced 90 min Thai massage. Local Dao women offer a Good opportunity to buy authentic locally crafted goods at astounding prices.

Heavenly... we have been to many places and hotels in Asia but Topas Ecolodge tops it all. The location is perfect, the landscape is beautiful, it was a perfect zen trip for us. It was a 180 degree turn from the hotels in SAPA town area. We took the pool villa and didn't regret paying the extra. The eco heated pool was so relaxing, especially when we had the first day of light drizzle and the clouds came down to envelop the whole resort. The feeling of having a dip in the pool surrounded by clouds/fog was out of this world. Service has been fantastic from the day we arrived, the staff were friendly and always there to assist. Food was good, they have 2 main restaurants and a small cafe by the pool. Food selection in the cafe was limited to bento sets. Our breakfast was served at the 360 Restaurant, as expected it provided a 360 view of the entire resort landscape. Breakfast spread is good with certain items being cooked to order. This restaurant then reopens for dinner with a grill or bbq western menu. The other restaurant is open throughout the day, serving pretty much local and western cuisine. Bicycle rental is free, so we took the MTBs out for a morning ride inwards into the more rural areas. We actually cycled to the opposite village from the resort. Took us around 30+mins 1 way. They also have a heated main pool, but we didn't really hang too much there as we had our own. Just take note that they don't have a gym, only a spa. Spa treatments were hotel rate prices but it was very relaxing and they have a extra free 30mins package when u take their full massages. The spa room has great views of the valley. It was a great trip for us as we celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary in SAPA and Topas Ecolodge just make it much more memorable.

We have been in Topas Ecolodge during the last few days of our honeymoon. Vietnam had already been amazing with all the lovely people, the great food and the different surroundings, all very very beautiful. We have been to beautiful places and have met nice people. But, we have never been to a place like Topas before! Besides the breathtaking view and beautiful surroundings, the amazing food, not to mention the beautiful pool villa, we cannot describe how lucky we are to be in this amazing place. The entire staff and the entire crew made our stay even more special. You made us as guests feel very welcome and loved. This is an outstanding place in all possible ways. Thanks for making our honeymoon unforgettable ❤️❤️ Dearest Anna, dear all lovely people of Topas Ecolodge, Thank you very very much Mr&Mrs Weterings & van Tricht (Michael & Jacqueline)

The staff were ready to welcome us with cool towels and iced tea as we stepped out of the shuttle. Luggage was whisked away while we checked in. Great that we are offered express or standard check in with the standard option including a brief walk/tour of the property. While English is not readily spoken, the staff get by and do everything possible to ensure a memorable stay. The rooms are furnished in a natural minimalist style that blends perfectly with the mountain surroundings. Views are breathtaking. Topas appears to empower the local community both through employment and through the use of local produce. Menu’s echo this. Food is delicious and prepared quickly. The breakfast buffet at Stilthouse was excellent with great variety catering to both western and Asian palettes. ‘Themed’ dinner evenings are bookable. We did try one although preferred the restaurant menu on offer. The goats and chickens greater us daily on our walks through the property. It was a peaceful break after the rush of Hanoi which is exactly what we were after.

The views at Topas Ecolodge were out of this world. Right away, my group was invited in and given cold towels, cinnamon tea, and passion fruit desserts as a welcome treat. Since we are on a strict diet, we were unsure of what would be available for us. Anna Ha came to our rescue! She sat with us for almost an hour to understand what we needed and to coordinate with Chef Benjamin, who happily took our requests. Beyond the friendly and caring people, the grounds were beautiful to walk around. Definitely go swim in the infinity pool and enjoy dining at 360° to see a lovely view of the entire resort! Activities such as bonfires and movie nights are offered daily, as well as other excursions. Just ask, they are happy to help and assist! Thanks for a memorable stay and beautiful trip! ❤️ Definitely add it to your Vietnam itinerary! A once in a lifetime experience you will always remember most warmly. Thank you Anna Ha

A place blessed by God -perfect if you are looking for piece We went to Sapa ecolodge as recommended by a friend The resort is located in a beautiful and unique part in Sapa area - far from the busy city of Sapa Rooms are big and very nice Big nice surprise is the swimming pool with warm water - perfect also for late afternoon swim and if chilli outside I am not giving 5 stars as - people working there did not speak English as good as they should - even asking simple questions on the menu was frustrating as at the end we gave up - in general I found not much flexibility, as in general in Vietnam - 2 restaurants menu is limited - conscious that you are in the middle of nothing and you must stay there

The resort of Topas is situated approximately 40 minutes from the center of Sapa. It is a stunning destination. In June, my fiancée and I embarked on a brief vacation in this location. In general, the room will not be equipped with a television, and the internet connection in this remote area will be exceedingly challenging. Nevertheless, technology is unnecessary during your stay, as there is always a breathtaking view in front of your room. This resort is an ideal destination for some time away from the stresses of daily life, as it is a testament to the beauty and grandeur that nature has bestowed upon Vietnam. Additionally, this resort is one of the few in Vietnam that prioritizes sustainable development. It is evident in the manner in which they utilize materials when constructing bungalows and in numerous purportedly environmentally friendly practices that have gained popularity, such as restricting the laundering of towels and changing bed sheets. Nevertheless, the apartment did not contain a mini-bar despite the existence of a price list for the items that were to be included in the mini-bar. I am uncertain as to whether the removal of the mini-bar from my room that day was an attempt to protect the environment, a trend that many hotels are adopting, or a form of discrimination that I encountered due to the fact that I reserved my room under the name of a Vietnamese individual. I am not surprised by this, as numerous resorts in Vietnam frequently eliminate items from the rooms in accordance with the price of the rooms they offer. One noteworthy aspect of the resort is the complimentary shuttle service from the Sapa Center. The resort acknowledges that the distance from the Sapa Center to the resort can be an obstacle for visitors when selecting a resort. Consequently, it offers a shuttle vehicle service to address this issue. That is commendable.
