Haitao Bay Homestay is an excellent choice if you are looking to stay in an extremely affordable but clean place in Sanya.
This is a Guest House which offers guests clean rooms with private toilets and basic amenities including air conditioning, free wifi, toiletries, towels, hair dryer, toothbrush, shampoo and soap.
No complimentary water included but you can buy in the lobby for cheap price.
I would recommend this guest house for couples of days while you are doing the touristy day trips, this way you have a place to stay without spending tons of money in a resort that you are not going to enjoy if you are mostly outside exploring the city.
The hotel is surrounded by plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars within 10 min or less walking distance.

Location is great if you want to be close to the hustle and bustle. But it was very very loud over the New Year period. No cell service or working WiFi

Facilities: Very good, with a bathtub and a projector
Sanitation: Very clean,
Environment: Very good, easy to find, in an alley, but easy to find
Service: Very good, very welcoming even when checking in late at night, highly recommended, really good value for money
