Second time at this hotel. This time stayed at a suite. It is very comfortable and spacious. It is a great location especially for families and kids.

We stayed here for 4 nights at the Gold Tower which was a bit far from the lobby, breakfast buffet and carpark. Check-in took a very long time and there wasn't a specific line to queue which made the check-in procedure feel like a gamble. When things seemed to be getting helpless, Minnie, our customer representative swept in to introduce herself and kindly took us to our room and gave us her wechat. She kindly assisted us throughout our stay with room keeping, restaurant recommendations and general hotel navigation. We are very grateful for her help!
We were very satisfied with our room and the hotel in general. We tried all the restaurants and they were all great. Pools were fun, and we would suggest the pools closer to the beach which are very tranquil.
A tip:
Request for a higher floor and away from the lifts.
We were on the 5th floor and we could only see a sliver of sea.

The closest railway station to this airport is yalong bay railway station which is about 25 mins away. We had a seaview room, offering unobstructed views of the sea. Check-in was smooth, and there was even a small room with light snacks which guests can wait in if the room is ready.
One of the hotel staff - Minnie - added us on wechat. She constantly checked in on us by asking us how our stay was / whether we had a good night's rest and provided prompt replies on when we asked her for any help via the platform.
Lounge was amazing, with plenty of food during tea and evening canapés. Tea time could get a bit busy, but other meal times were fine. The lounge staff were excellent - Nikki, Suki, Mia, Lilly and Lillian were friendly and helpful and provided exceptional service. Would certainly consider staying there again if we return.

大堂柜台minnie加了我们的微信，入住期间会问我们休息得怎样。我们有问题问她他也会及时的回复。
行政酒廊下午茶跟行政酒廊食物都相当的丰富。比起早餐/欢乐时光，去下午茶的人可能会多一些。想表扬行政酒廊的几个员工 - Nikki, Suki, Mia, Lilly and Lillian - 态度非常的好。服务很棒也很友善。
下回如果有再去海棠湾一定会在住这里。

Haitang Bay is not the best place for swimming. But the hotel is clean and family friendly. Various and delicious breakfast.

Stayed here during typhoon butterfly. Couldn't do much and can't go to the beach. But the service staff more than made up for the disappointment due to inclement weather.
Hainan Pearl restaurant served delicious food and service was very good. Noodle House was good too and prices were very reasonable. Buffet breakfast had plenty of food and the spread was excellent.
The bathtub in our room was very nice and clean but unfortunately, there's a minor leak and couldn't hold water. Anyway we enjoyed our stay at Sofitel Resort.

Awesome hotel and super nice staff. Anna was very kind and assisted us with everything. The rooms were big and she even gave us a better room because we had a bad view the first night. Thank you very much Anna!

The hotel is in the preserved area of Haitang bay, the sea is cleaner and have less mass tourism. It’s far from Sanya city but you have restaurants 6 minutes by car or can order food. The hotel has great swimming pools where we spent all day ! There are pool for children so if you want to be in a more quiet area you can go to another pool. The park is huge and have beautiful landscapes. The beach is so pretty. All the staff were so nice (very few can speak English) when we arrived Murca小刘 made a WeChat group so it was easy to communicate and everyday he made sure we were ok and send us recommendations of things to do. It was a great time to relax in this paradise, you don’t need to go out of hotel. Breakfast was gigantic, you have for every taste ! Rooms are big with a big balcony, you need to be careful of insects, there are some because of the natural area, but staff was careful to clean very well!
