check-in was reasonably fast. in addition to payment for 2 nights stay, reception asked for a deposit of 500 rmb. in my ＞35 years of travel i have only encountered 2 occasions where hotels asked for a deposit; this which is managed by marriott and marriott taipei.
suite was big and service can be considered as ok.
cleanliness was doubtful; there was a cockroach in the toilet.
fittings were rather dated and way overdue for refurbishment.
maintenance was poor. just before checkout we discovered that the upper hinge holding the gl⁹ass toilet door was nearly unhinged. what if the glass door had unhinged, glass door fallen & broken?
breakfast on both days were barely edible.
overall, prices charged just do not commensurate with goods & services delivered.
i am presently waiting for the refund of my deposit.

Sheraton Sanya is beautiful and the beach/ocean is amazing. Had so much fun staying. Perfect resort for families.

Amazing location and even during labour holiday the structure was able to handle an almost fully booked situation. Off season for sure could be even better. Great location !

Third time here and we had a fantastic family holiday again! Location, beach, swimming pools and gardens are gorgeous and really well kept. We love the different pool options and the room with direct pool access is so convenient with kids. I agree with other reviews that rooms could use renovation, especially if they used to be smoking rooms, but daily cleaning is impeccable. The open air breakfast spot is lovely and breakfast choice is excellent, Chinese restaurant is also very good and provided such nice support to celebrate kid’s birthday. Derrick Liu was so helpful to address any concerns, everyone on staff is super friendly and goes above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Can wholeheartedly recommend!

Great. The only reason I’d give it less on service was one woman they had working at the BBQ buffet was incredibly rude. But she did not reflect the other lovely staff.

We simply loved it. We came for a second time and felt like home. Service is great and staff are just so nice, standards are up to a five star hotel. They do great program for and caretaking of the kids as well and there’s always stuff to do days go by so fast. I really want to come back.
