It was 40 degrees plus so we really wanted a swimming pool. External people pay and use the swimming pool. Consequently over the weekend it was almost impossible to use the pool which was very overcrowded and noisy and there were no sunbeds to be had in the shade (in fact few sunbeds at all). The garden area adjacent to our bedroom was a spill over area for families arriving from outside too. The nearby gate from our room to the swimming pool was padlocked on Sunday and we had to go all the way round to the main entrance to the pool to gain access. When my son and his wife arrived the swimming pool was closed to guests after 5pm for a private children's party.

Great evening at the Villa Cefala’s restaurant. Definitely recommend a visit if you are in the area. Fabulous starters followed by equally delicious mains of pork belly and the best tuna steak I’ve ever tasted. The pizzas looked and tasted amazing too. Compliments to the chef! Ignacio - our server - was very helpful and attentive while giving us our space to enjoy our dinner. Great ambience and beautiful setting.

For 120€ / night, we expect an impeccable room and a correct service. We booked 2 nights at the last minute. The property is magnificent with an old and majestic building. We were given a small house at the back of the estate... 50m from the railway line! The train is not very noisy but the vibrations still woke us up at 6:30. The maisonette was clean but dark, dated, without any decoration. The rickety toilet board, the hot water not working when you flush the toilet, the variable shower temperature, a power outlet hanging from the bedroom wall. We complained and were moved to a room near the pool. It was much better although these rooms would still need a refurbishment to justify the price. Note that the swimming pool was still covered but the opening was indeed announced for the month of May so nothing abnormal. To apologize for the inconvenience, the hotel offered us breakfast. Otherwise my review would have had one star less.

The structure in general is not bad and quite clean but I found the room shabby, the uncomfortable bed mattress endorsed sleepless night. The breakfast was a nightmare, miserable: (a slice of leftover tart, frozen croissants, melted butter, dry and old honey, old and dried-up salami. ) The intention was to have lunch there but given the presentation of the breakfast we left early, pointing out to a pseudo director our disappointment, he, rather than apologizing, showed us the way out in a rude and annoyed way.
