Location location location! Friendly staff and impeccably clean. Valet was excellent as well. They have a nice restaurant too! La Hacienda (a nice grocery store) is right in front. The perfect place to stay, and will be back for my next trip.

No breakfast at the hotel, the hotel does not have a kettle, but there is a microwave and coffee maker. We went for 3 people, and the room had a standard double bed. If there were 3-4 people, we could put a double bed on the wall of the room. The hotel is less than 10 minutes walk from the Atlantic Ocean, but the beach here is relatively large, and those who like surfing can surf.

GGuest User 2022.07.15
I will start with the most important reason for the low rating. The hotel is not clean. We had to wear shoes in our room because it had not been swept. The building next door is under construction and work starts at 7am sharp - no sleeping in if your balcony faces that side. Speaking of the balcony, when it rained, water came in from under the door. To help lessen the strong musty smell we had to keep the A/C super cold. There were mosquitos in the room both alive and smeared on the walls - see photos. The bed skirts have not been laundered in a long time. The hallways made me think of a mid-century sanitarium. I told the front desk there was a water leak going down the hall, so they put up a wet floor sign. As the the water continued to flow, the decided to toss a pile of towels on it. The breakfast area was treated by the exterminator during meal time...nope, not ok. Also the breakfast selections were sub-par, nothing fresh. Also they didn't turn on the A/C during the week. The lobby area is a hot mosquito playground. The side door to the courtyard is left open with a mosquito lamp inside the lobby, thus inviting them inside. Make sure stock up on what you may need. While the hotel had water and soda, the vending machines are out of order and appear to be so for quite some time. And they did not have laundry detergent as posted in the laundry area. I did a medium size load that took 2 cycles in the dryer totaling $6. Taking the elevator is a scary experience. If it comes when you push the button. It doesn't always stop evenly with the floor. So be prepared to step up or down when the door opens. And it stops with such a jolt that it actually loosened my hair clip. As stated, on their website, the pool pictured is not at the hotel. And the ”beach club” is about 2 blocks away and is on the water, but the water is not accessible. It is for sunbathing only. The photo of the beach on their website, is not related to the beach club they offer. When we decided to take the long walk to the beach, they didn't have any beach towels available. I would not recommend this hotel, regardless of price.

There are not many Puerto Rico hotels to choose from on Ctrip, and the reviews are limited. Most of them are reproduced on booking. This hotel was chosen at random based on price and location. The hotel is quite old, the rooms are not big and clean, ten minutes drive from the old town, and there are some seaside highway scenery along the way. The hotel has two small swimming pools, which are mainly used to bring baby water. The beach in the hotel is very close, and a nice evening walk. Nearby restaurants, supermarkets, and Star Dad are available. There is a Chinese restaurant opened by Cantonese. The dishes are generally large but expensive, and three people eat ninety dollars quickly. Not recommended if there is no obsession with Chinese food. Breakfast at the hotel is not bad. If the requirements are not high, it is okay to eat enough. After all, the old breakfast is simple. After staying for two days, I got up to prepare for a bath the next day and found that there was no hot water. The parking lot is huge, $ 17 a night.

I have had terrible service since checking in. I am a very patient and friendly person who has worked in the service industry and understands how important it is to be nice to hard-working people. At breakfast, I watched three tables come in after me, get serviced, and receive their food before I even got a cup of coffee brought to me and had my order taken. I finally had to go to the waiter stand and ask for my bill so I could pay in leave. Our room never got serviced for cleaning for an entire day even though we were out of the room from early morning till 4 o’clock. I just went to the bar and sat and was ignored by a waiter who helped people on either side of me. I finally got up and left after 30 minutes of saying hello, making eye contact and basically got ignored. I am checking out early and heading to another hotel. I had booked a full week here at the Ocean club. They seem to cater to everyone else around. Perhaps they do not want to encourage white middle age guys staying here. They may want to cater to the younger European crowd.

This was our first stay in this newly renovated “sister”hotel to the Condado Plaza Hotel across the street. I can easily say that this was the best Hilton Garden Inn I have stayed in. The location is just as you cross into the Condado section of San Juan heading east from the cruise ship terminals or at the end if heading from the airport (a $24 taxi ride). It’s a bit quieter than the heart of the Condado. The entire hotel is gleaming— a beautiful airy lobby that opens into the pool area, a breakfast restaurant, and a bar area. We lucked out on an upgrade to a high corner room with panoramic views of the ocean (picture attached) with a wrap around balcony. The room was nicely appointed and definitely upgraded from the previous property. This will be our new favorite when passing through San Juan on the way to adventures beyond. The only negative is the street noise on the side of the hotel but it was balanced by the view in my humble opinion— the view from the other side is of the lagoon also very nice.

We loved our 1 night stay here. Our room was quite large and perfect for our family of 4. The location was central allowing us to easily walk around the area. The decor through out was fun, colorful and had some intresting details. There is lots of roof top seating and great views of the surrounding area. The staff here is great and our check in was a breeze. When we were a little lost trying to find our room a gentleman came to our rescue and escorted us to our room even helping us with our luggage! Unfortunately for me I woke up the next morning with an issue with my eye. I needed to get medical help immediately. The woman at the front desk was a huge help locating the right doctor for me to go to and spoke directly with the office to explain my situation. Sadly I did not get her name but she saved the day!

Advantages: The hotel is not far from the airport, and the service attitude is very good. Although there are not many choices for breakfast every day, eggs are all made fresh. There are cocktails and various snacks at night. Basically, you only need to go out for a meal by yourself. Disadvantages: 1. The hotel is not on the seashore. The hotel's own beach needs to be walked for about five minutes. The scenery is of average quality. 2. The hotel has a resort fee of $ 35 per night, which is not so cost-effective. Overall it feels like a good choice.

GGuest UserIts a very clean hotel with many places to eat within walking distance as well as a movie theater, grocery store, and pharmacy down the street. It has a nice restaurant and rooftop pool that is very relaxing. The room was clean and had an ice maker, large sink and refrigerator. The only things I would improve are the lighting in the rooms - its somewhat dim if you need to do some work - they only have lamps and one small accent light in the ceiling - at least in the room I was in. The bathroom sink in my room was very small- couldn't hold toothbrush, razor, etc on it like most sinks. Those are small inconveniences - overall it's a very nice place to stay, the staff is very friendly and helpful and the location was great.

兔兔猴Ctrip is also enough. Originally, I had already set a room on Booking. I saw that Ctrip was a lot cheaper, and I retired the Booking. However, the so-called sea view room that was given to the store through Ctrip is a room in a room, and the TV wall of the other room is the bedside of our room. The TV and other sounds in the next room are clearly heard, which seriously affects sleep. The next day, I can only change the room. It is not the balcony room with sea view. I had tossed for a long time before and after changing rooms, and I was still in a bad mood. At the same time, the check-out also received a 142 knife ”Hotel Tax”. This tax order is not available, can you return it?

GGuest UserWe stayed at the Fortaleza for two nights during our family holiday. There were 3 bedrooms with plenty of space for all six of us to have some privacy. The kitchen was huge and we prepared 2 delicious family dinners there. There are balconies overlooking the old San Juan streets. There are many sites, shops, restaurants within walking distance so the location in Old San Juan is perfect for those that want to stay close to the accommodation. We arrived early in the morning and we were able to store our luggage for the day while we walked around town. The downside is the parking is not onsite, but it is in a garage within walking distance.

GGuest UserMore of a 4.5 out of 5 but I didn't have that option. The hotel was very pretty, great lobby ( mixed emotions about the caged birds but I don't know their story so---) , great bar, friendly service, good food options although way over priced and just ok, not amazing. Although the Puerto Rican restaurant on the property Mojitos had great drinks and the friendliest service. We preferred eating here over the other on property restaurants but still over priced. I suggest eating every meal off property. Now that we know there isnt anything special about the on property restaurants, thats what we'll do next time. Getting an Uber is very easy and you're a very short ride from a huge number of restaurants. I posted some Google reviews of our dining experiences but i'll post some here, too. The hotel location is great, right on the beach and 10 minutes from Old San Juan. We had a beautiful view of the beach, ocean and amenities from our room. Loved the little balcony. I think most, if not all rooms have a balcony. The elevators were very fast, we were in the 9th floor. This may not be a big deal but even though those days are over for me , i remember long waits at slow elevators with wet, tired little ones, not fun. The time of year we went was perfect (late August) after thr high season, so no huge crowds. We were able to enjoy the hammock ”park” on the property and find chairs on the beach in a great spot. Speaking if the beach, if you're looking for waves you're not really going to get them. There's a man made rock border to prevent what looked like could be some pretty intense waves were in not for that barrier. The beach is kind of a calm bay but it's nice. A beautiful blue and watching the waves crash against the rocks is a great sight to see. Exploring Old San Juan was awesome. The beautiful colors, the architecture, the history, the narrow streets, it really takes you on a journey. Great shopping and besides the touristy t shirt places, there were plenty of great artisan shops. Old San Juan is still recovering from hurricane Maria (I know - it's crazy) so there are lots of streets undergoing road construction and some businesses that are shuttered but the construction doesn't get in the way and there are a shops and restaurants galore. The construction does mean sometimes you have to maneuver to avoid closed sidewalks and may be walking under scaffolds but sort of like any major city undergoing construction because of growth, not disaster. We visited two of Old San Juan's forts (look like castles) Castillo San Cristobal & Puerta de San Juan. You get two great walks through old San Juan to both of them. All uphill to Puerta de San Juan bur a good uphill, not so strenuous that you don't enjoy the actual walk. It was pretty hot so luckily, there were plenty of places to choose from if you want to stop and have a refreshment or lunch. It's pretty easy to get turned around on the narrow, intersecting streets but just keep your tourist map handy. T

GGuest UserIt was difficult to enter the hotel but it was worth it for the party all weekend. The guys at the front desk are very friendly, especially Curdero with a lot of patience and smile. Something very peculiar in the restaurant, the waiters gave their best both at brunch and dinner. There were few for so many people, you had to wait for the table but excellent work. An observation, the supervisor must better help his employees, that's why they resign. In the morning I only went round and round and it didn't help at all and in the evening when we had dinner the same was one in a blue shirt on Sunday talking to the hosts. Very outraged with that bad supervisory act. Very grateful for the service of the waiters

GGuest UserUnfortunately, the high expectations I had for this place were lacking. First of all, I booked a deluxe room which included a TV in the room, sofa bed and was supposed to have its own entrance and privacy. As per the instructions on Hotels.com it stated that I should contact the property at least 24 hours in advanced for check-in details. I did just that and was met with a return message stating that I would receive the information prior to check-in on the day the reservation was to begin. Nevertheless, I didn't receive it until 4:15pm, mind you that the normal check-in times, as posted, are 3pm-10pm. Not only did I receive the check-in details about 1-2 hours late but also received a phone call with some confusing information. The lady informed me that my room had supposedly been ”overbooked” by the system and that my room wasn't available for my stay. That they would award me a room inside an ”apartment”, which is usually reserved for Airbnb and as compared to the deluxe room I had booked, included a larger space with a kitchen and other rooms which would be closed. I didn't really need a kitchen since I wasn't planning on cooking etc and was definitely skeptical and thinking how that happened since I had reserved the deluxe room days in advance and wasn't contacted for it at all. No other option was offered to me and I decided to go with it and give it a try... Unfortunately, upon arrival my skepticism was met with reality. All the access gates for the property are open, no locks, meaning anyone can enter the property at any given time. The only actual room which was open inside the ”apartment” didn't have all the amenities as the one I booked and the entire ”apartment” didn't have a single TV. Moreover, there were other people's belongings inside the room, ”apartment” and balcony, which in fact had a seating area but the cushions had been removed so it was useless. Another person's sandals, lighter and more surprisingly contraceptive pills were visible upon arriving. I found this to be unacceptable, specially during these times. I didn't feel comfortable and actually questioned the cleanliness and infection control, given that clearly no one had verified the lodging area and took care of the items which I previously mentioned. I felt unsafe at this time, not knowing if there was other people with access to the ”apartment”, given the fact that there were other people's items left in plain view. I contacted the property regarding the findings upon arrival and I didn't receive a response. I was confused about what to do since I definitely didn't feel safe and didn't know how to proceed since there's no front desk in the property. I never heard anything back and decided to vacate the property and seek lodging elsewhere. That meant having to pay for a hotel elsewhere and spend an additional quantity of money than we were expecting but it was a decision I made with my partner because ultimately we didn't feel safe!!!

LLukas NThese guys are the best! Having lost my passport in 6 hours of arriving to PR, they were super helpful and understanding and managed to make my stay here a really great holiday! The rooms were clean thanks to Edwin, who if you have the pleasure to meet is really friendly and funny, and the receptionist Dinelys was super helpful and friendly, and made my stay 100x better. I'm definitely glad I chose to stay at the Conturce hostel, as not only is it very conveniently placed next to the beach, supermarket and nightlife, but the people who run the hostel add so much more to the experience. The hostel was also really good for meeting new people, with a social roof bar and communal space downstairs. Definitely made some life long friends here in the time it took to get my emergency passport to go back home.

GGuest UserHere’s a brief summary of our family’s stay at Comfort Inn, San Juan for five days in August 2022. The GOOD – Location: It’s a 5-7 minute walk to the beach and the hotel offers complimentary beach towels, sun umbrellas, and lounge chairs for your use. There’s also a Cartier store at the end of the block, so you’re in a decent part of town, and there are quite a few restaurants within walking distance; Rooms: Our room was clean and bright. It looks like it had been renovated in the not-too-distant past. Good water pressure, nice TV, clean linen, small fridge, microwave, and coffee maker; Breakfast: There are some nice options included in the breakfast. Hot items (cheese omelets, bacon, sausage, country potatoes), cereal, make-it-yourself waffles, pastries, fresh fruit (bananas, apples, clementine oranges), yogurt, and a variety of juices; Hotel pool: It’s small but very nice. In addition to the pool, there’s also a hot tub for the adults and a kids’ wading pool. Lots of lounge chairs and towels. Fitness center: It has nice equipment and is in good condition, located by the pool; Housekeeping staff: We interacted with several members of the housekeeping staff and they were all extremely helpful and friendly. High marks in that department! The BAD – Parking: Technically, there is a parking lot at the hotel but it only holds about eight cars, at best. Beyond that, you’ll need to park in a garage down the street for about $20/night. The hotel was in the process of repaving the parking lot while we were there but I don’t think it will result in adding any additional spaces; Flooding: The street on two sides of the hotel flooded to a depth of about 8 inches twice during the five days we were there. Not sure what causes it, but it’s apparently an ongoing issue. If you want to get past the flooding, you have to get creative on how to access the front door. Not impossible, but also not ideal. The DEHUMIDIFIER – The first night we were there, we woke up in the morning to find that the floor in our room was WET. Not damp, but WET. As in, a “Maybe we should go look for a mop” kind of wet. It was at that point that we noticed a dehumidifier under the desk in the room. The digital readout read, “Current humidity: 85%”. I don’t doubt it. Once I turned the dehumidifier on, we left it on for the remainder of our stay. It did help IMMENSELY but we had to empty the bucket in the dehumidifier down the shower drain about twice a day, so it was an ongoing process. We also noticed a dehumidifier in the hallway so humidity is apparently an issue there as well. SUMMARY – Overall, we were happy with our stay. The amenities are nice and the price isn’t bad, considering the prices of other hotels in the same vicinity. Parking isn’t ideal and neither is the flooding. And as long as you don’t mind keeping up with the dehumidifier, the room is pleasant to stay in. There aren’t a lot of bells and whistles, but there’s not a lot that seems lacking either.

GGuest UserThe Hotel is beautiful and for the price of a basic room, we had a view of the beautiful lagoon, with a balcony and privacy. The only thing they should consider is parking because we had to pay $20 a day :-(. Paseo Caribe offers a quiet and safe area, has security guards, and you can walk quietly around the area. You have nearby restaurants, steps from the Caribe Hilton Hotel, and steps to the Escambron area where the beach is beautiful and the day and night walk is beautiful. If you are looking to stay in this area without paying so much, this is a good option. The price they put is not that, the rate is lower. I paid $ 116 per night and my room was the Executive Room. They comply with health regulations, have staff checking the temperature, and the use of a mask. It offers many areas to walk, enjoy as a family or as a couple, and despite the Covid-19 they offer different ways to be able to walk and enjoy a beautiful tourist area [Fortín de San Jerónimo del Boquerón] Spacious room and the bathroom was huge as well!
