Suites at Fisherman's Wharf

I would actually rate this property as 4 and a half. The only thing stopping me giving it a five out of five is the need for better double glazing to keep out the noise. The cable cars are reassuring and relaxing - 7am to 10pm, but it's just some cars roaring away from the traffic lights, especially at night. Great place for a base ten minutes walk from Fisherman's Wharf, and five minutes from the maritime harbour/ Hyde St Pier/ cable starting point (get ahead of the queues) Brilliantly placed for public transport, bus stops right outside - downtown one way - Presidio/Golden Gate the other. Rooms just about have everything you need and are a good size. Balconies on the corner rooms. We had a view of Alcatraz. Really fantastic and helpful staff on reception. Wyndham run property.

I couldn't have asked for a better location. It was so easy to get places, by walking, public transportation, and rideshares. We stayed in a one room suite which fit my family of four's needs. Our children slept on the pull out couch in the living area. Our view from our balcony was of Alcatraz-- very cool. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We felt very safe in the neighborhood as we walked around. It was very close to Ghiradelli Square where we access the restaurants there.

Fantastic location convenient to bus stops; older style elevator but nice size rooms. It is a bit noisy with the cable cards running right in front but feels safe because there's always people walking around in the area. Front desk people were all nice and helpful, Richard was the BEST at giving helpful advice and recommendations for dinner, as well as trying to help with charging all my devices after my bag was stolen in Oakland. Don't go to Oakland - it's the worst, lawlessness rampant

Very nice stay at the Suites at Fisherman’s Wharf. My wife and I were able to walk to most place and the shuttles for our day trips were less than 2 blocks away. Which was very convenient. The rooms were clean and well equipped. The staff was very friendly and helpful with great suggestions to enhance your stay. We loved the roof top deck which gave us a great view of the bay.

Excellent view, location and rooms, SF it’s awesome, don’t miss the opportunity to cross the golden bridge on a bike! Best views!!

Wonderful time at this resort. Lovely setting. Large rooms and great for my wife and I for a week vacation in March. We loved the rooftop views and watching the sunrise each day. The views of the bay were also stellar and beautiful. Being so close to all of the touristy things was so helpful. We didn’t have to worry about parking or timing. Everything was right there. We ended up using public transportation for much of the week. So easy in San Francisco. So many options. Lovely time.

Your staff were "over-the-top". Excellent experience. The resort was centrally located making walking to Fisherman's Wharf very easy, as well as having Cable Car and Bus/Muni system right outside the front door. I will not bring a car next time. It was a waste to drive. Between Uber/Lyft, Muni/Cable Car ($13.00 for an ALL DAY PASS ON ALL OF YOUR MUNI/CABLE CAR TRANSPORTATION) I won't stay anywhere else in the future! Thank you for an incredible experience!

chose Shell Vacations Club @ The Suites at Fisherman's Wharf as a "use it or lose it" exchange for week about to expire, and also as a mid-winter "StayCation" just spitting distance from home across the SF Bay. Glad I did. Will be back. Location perfect for public transit (bus, cable car, trolley), restaurants, museums, boat tours, ferries, and walkable (options include flat and hilly). Enjoy all the sights and attractions the City has to offer. Staff are both friendly and responsive (front desk, housekeeping, etc). Not "luxurious" but very comfortable (big King bed). Kitchen had mid-size appliances (fridge, stove w/ oven) that are about right for a 1 wk stay, plus microwave, coffee maker, blender, toaster, etc. LR sofa "firm" to sit/lie on, but I hear it's comfy if you have another couple with you. You can go as fancy or as low-key as you like from this nice home-base for your dining out and in-house cooking. Living room is spacious, never felt "cramped" in spite of inner 1st floor unit (with nice semi-private patio sharing lattice wall with neighbor's house up the street). Quiet at night for sleeping... a bit of upstairs guest walking overhead on wood floors in Living Room. Some units have great views of bay etc. I enjoyed the relative quiet and privacy of my unit. Small nit-pick: bathroom sink is tall for a short person; and a bathtub would be nice after long days on feet all over town, but I'd still choose this place in a heartbeat!

The suites are definitely suites: a lovely big living room, large bedroom and spacious bathroom together with a well equipped kitchen. It is conveniently located a 10 minute walk from Pier 39, a bus and cable car on the doorstep. My only concern is the soundproofing, we could hear the very noisy family next door, even during the night. I would however, definitely stay there again.
