Das Grüne Hotel Zur Post - 100 % Bio

I had an amazing time in Salzburg! The hotel is located close to downtown and the airport. The staff were super friendly and went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. From cozy rooms to great local tips, they had it all covered. Can’t wait to visit again!

We were looking for a hotel that could accommodate my family which included 2 young adults - near Salzburg. This hotel worked perfectly. It had parking and the rooms were comfortable. The staff helped me get reservations for dinner as it was challenging Christmas week given how busy the area is. One day we drove and parked at a garage located inside a mountain which ended up a short walk to Old Town. The next day we took the bus which stops right outside of the hotel and dropped you off near the same garage point (and other points). I recommend the bus system. They have a sauna but you need to plan ahead if using as they need an hour lead time to warm it up. We didn't know that so missed the opportunity to use it one evening. They have what looked like a good breakfast at the hotel but we did not use it. $20 Euro seemed pricey for us given we are not big breakfast people. I would definitely recommend this hotel. While not far from Salzburg this was in a very quiet area. We were able to walk to a grocery store for quick snacks.

We were on a road trip through Europe and found ourselves traveling through Austria and needed a spot for the night. We picked this hotel for price and parking. Coming from Germany, it was more on the outskirts of the city so we didn’t have to deal with city driving. There were several parking spaces available located at the hotel so that was a non issue. Check in was smooth and staff was helpful. Our room was really spacious including the en suite bathroom which is unusual for Europe. There is a breakfast option for an additional cost but we opted to do our own thing as we are not big breakfast people. About a block down was a bakery so that was perfect. The only down sides to this Hotel are the street noise I’d you get a room on that side of the hotel, especially because there is no AC you need the windows open. I actually slept with ear plugs in. The other thing is there are not a lot of bars/ restaurants within walking distance. I mentioned the bakery but other than that everything was 15+ minutes to get to.

This is my go to hotel every time I visit Salzburg. The service is excellent, the rooms are impeccably clean, and the location in relation to the city is fantastic. I am always impressed with the friendly staff and service provided; they go above and beyond to make you feel at home and comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Salzburg.

Upon our arrival we were pleasantly surprised with hotel. Parking is free and there's enough spots and electric charging station. There is everything you can expect from a 3* hotel and even more. Rooms was super clean, bathroom was newly renovated (even had a floor heating) and the bed was super comfortable. Breakfast is pretty good too (classic buffet) and everything is local and bio. If I ever come back to Salzburg i know where will I stay
