Super nice people and very clean. I loved the Bartenders Drinks. I am sorry her name has disappeared from my brain. Lovely German lady, her drinks were the best. They were pricey, but when your on vacation, treat yourself. I would go back again. The beds are twins downstairs in number 3, but still comfy.

If you are looking for somewhere in heart of old town of Salerno, this is a goodbet. Lots of bars restaurants close by and Maria and son kindly recommended us a couple of good pizzerias. The location itself is in a block of flats like something out of an Elena Ferrantes Naples novel. Whilst the flat was spacious and well equipped, it felt tired with dents in wall and a shower handle that came off. It was also far from the glammed up pic on booking com which incidentally is Maria's own flat. All in all it wasn't expensive but perhaps more of a place for backpackers. Breakfast was ok and nice to sit with other guests.

Firstly I have to recommend Salerno itself. Salerno is within an hour of Naples, Amalfi coast, Pompeii and other ruins on public transport, but with less hustle and bustle, and more normal Italian life. Casa Maria is in the old town of Salerno, so it still has lots of visual charm. I booked the room with the kitchen so I could cook food bought from local grocers and fishmongers. Anthony and Maria are kind and accommodating hosts. Anthony speaks great English, which allows him to give good advice for getting the best out of your trip.

Casa Maria is truly like staying at a friend's house. The bb is located in the historic center and has different types of rooms and apartments, all very large, functional and practical, very clean. The only thing missing for the moment is the elevator, but construction is underway. In any case, the view from the top floor is enchanting. Family welcome, extreme availability of the owner and her son, and a rich and varied homemade breakfast complete the pleasant stay. Antonio's precious advice on what to see and where to eat was very welcome. experience to be repeated. Well done!

I stayed just one night with a friend of mine, the house was huge with all the comforts and was close to the centre. The breakfast was very rich with very good fresh croissants. Maria is super kind. It ended too soon...

I have just returned from yet another stay at this property and I have always had a great time. Maria and Antonio fantastic people.. for now the abscessor is missing but it is arriving, in the historic center 2 steps from the sea... there is no need to add anything else.
