The hotel does have a grand-presence on Lungomare. Being an older and spacious property does have it's advantages - like having a wide balcony with chairs to gaze out at the exotic Amalfi coast (photo attached). Though Easter time, we were lucky to have a room with a balcony. Conveniently located in a 10-minute walk the the Salerno station, bus-stop or concordia Pier to reach Amalfi. Room was spacious with large cupboards and a small place to cook-meals. A kettle would have been comfortable in the room. Being Asian, I love my warm water and a morning coffee. Breakfast was tasty with some of the local sweet delicacies like Sfogliatella and Conchiglia. I noticed it was spread in way which reduced food-wastage on the table. However, I missed warm sausages or omlette. Would have also liked vegetable salads and cut fruits. A variety of whole fresh fruits were accessible, but sometimes we get lazy to peel and eat an entire fruit :) Staff were friendly and helpful.
From the moment we arrived at the B&B il Duca d'Amalfi we felt at home. Ilaria and her family were exceptionally kind and caring to us as if we were part of her family. The rooms are great and always clean. The location is fantastic, it has tons of great restaurants and stores its close to every form of transportation that will take you to Amalfi,Capri,Positano and many more places. I fell in love with Salerno and would highly recommend it. Thank you Iliana for everything.
Spent 3 nights' at the RarityArt Minihotel in the Renoir room and loved it. The check-in staff member (Mattheus) was incredibly kind, helpful and great at giving recommendations for places to eat and things to see. The rooms each having a unique art theme and style was lovely and despite the very hot 30+ degree days, the air-conditioning in the room worked a treat and it was always kept so clean. The hotel is also super convenient for getting to the Ferry/ Station, to the centre of town or to the beach. The only thing for people to keep in mind is the 20 or so marble stairs from the ground floor to the hotel on the first floor, but honestly, it didn't bother me. Would absolutely stay here again!

Such a great stay away from the crowded places.
The house is located slightly uphill , with a very nice garden.
The host was such a lovely guy that tried to help all our needs.
I highly reccomend this place if you have a Car to move around.
In less than 10 mins drive you are in the city center or the beach.
Thanks Tonio for letting us stay at your lovely house
We realised we weren’t going to make our early train if we stayed at our accommodation in Amalfi so we booked a room for one night at the last minute here in Salerno. It ended up being a beautiful room with a comfy bed, good air con, spacious bathroom and easy to access apartment complex once we found it. It is about 15-20 mins from both the train/ferry terminal so a bit of a hike on a hot day with your luggage and if you don’t want to climb a million stairs with your luggage you have to go all the way around a side street. But it is in a central location with a shop just up the road. It is just a wooden door so either call the staff who are helpful or be on the lookout for the small sign near the door. Good location if you’re staying for a few days.
My boyfriend and I, coming from abroad, stayed from 11 to 13 June... In the Ravello room... quite large room only the bathroom for personal tastes a little small but equipped with everything. Minibar with different choice of drinks, kettle with cups included with different instant drinks and even biscuits. Large balcony with table and two chairs to enjoy the coolness in the evening. For smokers it is forbidden to smoke in the room but outside on the balcony there is an ashtray bucket. As for cleanliness: exemplary! Everything well sanitized. Which is difficult in Salerno. Courteous and helpful manager even when he is absent in the facility... We had problems with the double socket of the hairdryer and with kindness and trust through a call he showed us where to get a new one... When my partner comes back to visit me we will definitely return ...maybe a few more days! Thank you so much ❤️ P.s. I wanted to add that there are 2 extra pillows in the wardrobe and that's another thing I really appreciated...in other facilities I almost had to beg for one more.

Very clean, comfortable hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Special mention to housekeeping staff who were so accommodating, room serviced as soon as we left to go out. Beds extremely comfortable, with extra pillows and duvets provided. Bathroom large, with a walk-in shower. Excellent location in the town centre and a few minutes walk to the train station. Cathedral and churches well worth a walk down to see, and plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. Breakfast at the hotel was a little meagre, but not unusual for Italy. Wish we had brushed up on the Italian language, not many English speakers in Salerno, but that was our fault and will take lessons before returning! All in all, we had a lovely stay at this hotel and would definitely go back.

Travelling from Sicilia to Milan by train we needed an overnight stop as it all couldn’t be done in one day (unless using a sleeper train!🚆). Salerno seemed to be a good midway point so after a bit of research this hotel 🏨 was booked. On arrival at Salerno Station 🚉, we took the elevator down and literally stepped out the station into the hotel lobby, it’s that close. We had a friendly chap on reception who checked us in and assisted us with our luggage to our room. We were allocated Room 203! This was a spacious clean room with a modern en-suite bathroom perfect for our stay. Considering you are right next to a station, you really didn’t hear a lot apart from a few sirens and horns and rumbles when trains 🚆 were passing. 8 hours of decent sleep 💤 was had.. how can you fault that? Breakfast was a simple affair but there were fresh Cornetto in different flavours which were delicious 😋. It’s a ‘buffet’ so it’s help yourself and the little lady on reception in the morning was doing a grand job keeping everything topped up and tables cleared. Overall an excellent stay! If you are travelling by train, this is an ideal place to stay. The hotel is located well within reach of the main town and the coast is a few steps away. Plenty box ticking with this hotel.. 🏨

Outstanding
MmlenitskayaWe stayed in this place for one night during our honeymoon in Italy. The location is nice even though a bit hard to find, it’s hidden behind the big gate. Alexis was very helpful with the luggage and welcomed us with the introduction, in the room there was a book with suggestions for dining places and sightseeing. We loved the style , it looks quite impressive with the high ceilings and big windows, feels like you’re staying in the museum. The breakfast was nice for B&B, too. The music playing gives you special vibes. That was really a unique experience! The only disadvantage for us was the noise from the street, it was super loud until 3 a.m., couldn’t fall asleep for a while. We also suggest to provide two types of pillows for the guests, ours were very hard to sleep on. Apart from that, everything was good. 👍🏽
GGuest UserThe hotel is ok, some weird rules around the pool where you are obligated to wear a cap in order to access it. The safe guard is very persistent on keeping this rule. The restaurant was surprisingly better than expected. It takes about 1.5h to reach amalfi by the car from hotel. Hotel has a parking lot which is def a perk. The rooms were ok and clean.
After lots of research we decided to make salerno as a base to explore amalfi coast and capri, and we r happy that we stayed here. Direct fast train from Rome [sorrento doesn't]..hotel being just Opposite to railway station. Easy to reach. We booked 1 double room and 1 single room for our family of 3. Rooms r clean, AC works great, normal size bathroom ,good hot water, supermarket nearby, walking distance to port and beach. Taxi stand just opposite to hotel, and main bus stop also just in front. We took ferry to capri (2 ports for ferry, LNG ferry 1.5 km away, 10 euro for taxi )and for amalfi town we took SITA bus 24 hour pass 10 euro per person and we started with amalfi, ravello and reached Positano and return. Easy to catch bus ,and just in 10 euro pp we completed our amalfi coast . Excellent location.and no noise in rooms, breakfast is great, fresh bakery and fruits every day. Staff is cheerful and extra helping. Best of all our hotels in Italy. Though rating is 3 star it is Actually better then msny 4 star hotels. Kudos to family management
GGuest UserI came in this b&b for a fatality what I had booked gave me suddenly a gap x structural problems but cmq through him I met room manager and I have to say that what was gone bad was found a advantage, I came to the place and the owner Paul a very nice boy and hand showed me my room and I have to say more than that room was a real mini-apartment with bathroom and private kitchen for exclusive use 5 beds where in There was a single bed in the room. The bed was there. The marriage and a soft with another marriage bed, in easy parking area on the blue strips (this one can do nothing but in this area strips cost 1 per cent) is close to the center I wouldn't know what to say, except that my wife and children were very good, and we'll be back.
RRonika sriramThis is a beautiful bnb tucked in a quaint street of Salerno. The location is very good it's easy at a walkable distance from the port, from the station and it's super easy to get around.
The host is very kind and welcoming, she is always there to help out and a sweet gentleman comes every morning to top up the sweets for breakfast.
My husband and I had a great time.
We highly recommend and would stay again. Room: The room was adequately sized, especially for being in the city. The bed itself was extremely comfortable and I really enjoyed the large balcony. Our room faced the street and we found it to be quiet during the day and/or night. An Italian breakfast is provided in the room daily and there was a mini fridge with water. Location: The property is a few minute walk to the main walking street where there are bars, restaurants, and shops. This street can take you to the train station in one direction and the historical center in the other. The property is also within walking distance to the ferry and the beach. We are avid walkers, but I would say nothing took longer than 10 minutes to get to. My only caution would be that there is a small incline when walking to the property from the south. Hospitality: The highlight of our stay was the hospitality. The host promptly met us when we arrived earlier than planned. Maid service was done daily even when we said it wasn’t necessary if they felt uncomfortable due to Covid. We also left behind a bag of cords by accident and remembered a week later. We contacted the property and the host promptly replied and set up a day and time to meet so we could pick it up. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
GGuest UserWe are very sorry to have to write this negative review! Let's start by saying that we stayed one night in this B&B. Fairly convenient location 10 minutes from the station and 5 from the center! The BeB is located in an old building, and is basically an apartment on the first floor, where there are some rooms and then the owner's rooms! So it's like being all in one apartment but only in different rooms. At the time of booking we communicate that we are a couple with a 3 month old baby. We arrive, we stay in the room with our baby for a while to play (about half an hour at 12 o'clock) and going out to go for a ride we finally meet the lady (landlady) who asks us if the baby sleeps at night because he has heard screams before and would not want me to disturb the other hoteliers. The screams he refers to were the classic vocalizations that babies make when they play. I reply that we sleep, but not every day is the same with such small children. Returning from the stroll in the center we go back to the room and find the cold room, I call the number I have (he is another guy I have never seen since the reception was made by yet another gentleman) and I explain the situation, the lady comes on turns on the radiator and air conditioning (very indisposed because according to her it is not cold !!). I also notice stains on the sheets and by pointing this out to him they are reluctantly changed. When we went out for dinner, we left the air conditioning on but she went in and turned it off (saying that audì clima they turn off by themselves because they have a motion sensor 😵💫 strangely all night then it remained on at 20 degrees). But the best part was when we returned at 9.30 pm the baby started crying, we were trying to calm him down and the lady knocked on us to ask us to calm him down and make silence that disturbed !!!!!! As if we had you can make a newborn stop crying! I add that instead of creating these unpleasant situations it is enough to say that they do not accept babies instead of taking reservations and then treating customers badly. I also point out that the lift only goes with 20 cent coins .. and of course we with a stroller had to go up and down several times! We only saw 80 cents from her, the rest came from our own pocket. We did not clean up, mold in the shower and gravy stains in the duvet. I also point out that the partner bar for breakfast is very basic levels. Tip: look for something else with children.
2 Adults and dogs Are arrived late night with the train. The nice lady where the reception is responsible has waited extra for us and left in the house. Located near the train station. Lift available. Check in and out easy. Rooms are very simple, but gives everything you need. A balcony, bed and private bathroom toilet and shower. Rooms are clean. Outdoor a common kitchen where you can cook something and a refrigerator you can use with. The housewife very friendly, please help with all questions, tips to Salerno, bus and so on. 2 nights was there and also Salerno looked at, very beautiful city. Is a stopover, for the ferry to Tunis. Tip: With dog, you are not taking a taxi, and if then it will be expensive. Taxi is quite expensive. You walk from the B&B down to sea down the main road: SS18 the top of the 2, drive 4 bus lines directly to the port and is much cheaper.
Ppaulrob200Very comfortable stay. Nice, clean room certainly no complaints in that respect. Location is outside of the centre of Salerno, however a half-hourly train can be caught 5 minutes walk away from the hotel, which gets u into Salerno in 15 minutes, and u can be at the tourist ferry terminal in 25 minutes. A small number of restaurants around and a supermarket is 2 minutes away.
Breakfast was very basic but was sufficient enough. Not too bad for the price point and definitely cheaper than Amalfi Coast, but the easy access to Amalfi Coast made it worth the stay.
