Aparthotel Playa Dorada

We stayed here 5 nights and everything was really good. Food is ok, we always found something to eat and rooms were cleaned regularly. The entertainment during the day was sooo good, water polo, billiard, darts, kids club. Evening mini disco was a blast for our 3 year old daughter, Marcelo and Julieta are fantastic and do everything from heart. Definitely we will go back.

We stayed at this hotel and, unfortunately, the only positive things I can mention are its location and the beautiful view from the balcony. Everything else was a real letdown. When we arrived (2 adults and 2 kids), we were greeted by a very rude woman at the reception who didn’t even allow the kids to take a candy from the bowl on the counter. The Wi-Fi was only available in the reception area. We live in a modern world where free Wi-Fi should be accessible everywhere, not just in the lobby! If you wanted Wi-Fi in your room, you had to pay separately for each device, which is absolutely unacceptable. Beach towels were also charged at 5 € each, and if you wanted to change them, you had to pay another 5 €. Of course, we didn’t take them and used our own. In the room, there was only one small piece of soap for everyone, and it was never replaced. We had to buy our own liquid soap, shower gel, and shampoo - that was shocking for a hotel of this price range. The hotel operates on an “all-inclusive” basis, but the food was very simple and became repetitive after a couple of days. There was no quality alcohol, the cocktails were terrible, and the coffee was awful instant coffee. The kids’ club was open only for one hour in the morning, and the evening “mini disco” lasted just 15 minutes. Overall, I do not recommend this hotel. It is overpriced, and for the same money, you can find a much better place to stay!

The hotel is based at the nice location, modern,clean and spacy. Good value for money. I would definitely recommend if it wasn't for loud entertainment all the time. I'm half way through my stay and already exhausted. Banging loud microphone screaming entertainers every evening until 11 pm, unable to hold a conversation even at the balcony's apartment, unable to watch a movie indoors with the apartment balcony doors closed, unable to read a book. Non stop music at the pool, loud also, can't even get a nap at the hotel room during the day. If I wanted to go to Ibiza or Magaluf to party hard with no sleep I would. Management please take note! Volume adjustment and letting people relax at your hotel should be you priority, not overwhelming your guests with loud noise at all times. I would not return here only because of that! Otherwise I would recommend it!

One of our favourite hotels This is our 5th stay at this hotel. The best thing is tge staff, right from the receptionists to the cleaners and everyone in between, they are always smiling. The food is varies but lots of pork and fish. The swardfish is delicious. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. My only niggle is the sharp corners on the bathroom sink top that is very close to the door. I imagine a few people might have a bruise or two from bumping in to it it is perfectly situated overlooking the sea and the sandy beach is close by. It is very international with people from all over Europe and everyone is so friendly.

The hotel looks fantastic from the pictures, but in reality this hotel is the worst I’ve stayed in. The reception looks fancy, but everything else is absolutely disgraceful. We checked in on Saturday into a room that we thought was going to be gorgeous. Turns out there was electrical hazards in our room, rust, dust, mould, no air con, shower head holder was broken, the safe was broken, rooms were not cleaned properly. The balcony in both rooms also had rust, cracks, and dirt everywhere. Our hotel room door also didn’t close properly, we had to slam it shut and even with that it could still be opened from the outside. We rarely saw cleaners going around the hotel. our room was just thrown together quickly without cleaning up to standard for guests. Our room was only cleaned twice over the 5 nights we stayed. We also had to go down to reception to ask for clean towels as ours weren’t changed. Staff were very rude at the reception when we went down twice to complain about the room. We were told to wait until the next day for the air con to be looked at. Keep in mind the day / night was 28-32 degrees. There was no way we could sleep in that heat. We got another room and was told it was “our lucky day” one of the receptionist practically threw the room keys at us. The new room we got was better especially because it had working air con. When we went for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, there was a poor choice of food. Some of the food was cold, plates were dirty, and the same with the cutlery. We ended up not even eating in the hotel after paying for all inclusive. This is absolutely disgraceful as there wasn’t many choices for food. My boyfriend got pork steak pieces, and they were cold, rock solid, and you could not chew it what’s so ever. I am ever disappointed with my stay in this hotel. Everything looks really good from the reception, but when you go to the rooms, pool, sun lounges, and dining room, it’s an absolute disgrace. It was definitely not worth the money we paid for this. We stayed here 5 nights and will never return to this hotel.

The pool is nice and it is on the beach (sort of). The part of the beach it is on is rocky and very slippery. I saw a fair number of people at the resort on crutches. Parking was terrible there was very little parking near the hotel and the spaces at the hotel were small and difficult to pull into. The room was nice but the bathroom was incredibly small. The food was absolutely terrible. The Bacon was still pink. My 8 year old daughter said the food in her school cafeteria was better. Lastly the place was full of Germans cutting in line, hoarding chairs, and I even saw one lady stuffing bread in her purse. I expected much more but was very disappointed. I will not stay here again.
