Review: It's an unusual hotel the Protur Safari Park in Sa Coma. The first thing to realize is that this is not a 4 star experience. The services are quite minimal. For example - the rooms do not have tea and coffee etc in them like 99% of other hotels do worldwide. It does furnish with a kettle and microwave and cups, glasses however. If you want coffee and tea..you need to bring your own. We were in room 2107 which by the way had an ant infestation. You'd think this would be picked up on by housekeeping. The hotel itself is clean and clinical. The room housekeeping is poor - cups, glasses and surfaces are not cleaned. The floor is swept. The balcony is not cleaned. Remarkably the bedding is changed daily without exception. However there is no cleaning carried out on a Monday or Thursday. The food is good on the whole. After all it's very difficult catering for the masses and they do their best. It is not however 4* standard. The area where fish and meats are cooked to order in the Ibiza restaurant has the most miserable member of staff working there. I won't describe him, you will know him when you encounter him. Indeed, why work in an environment that makes you unhappy if you are not suited for that role? The way he throws the food onto your held out plate with a contemptuous look is almost laughable. There are no tea and coffee facilities at all in the restaurant at lunch or evening meal. These are provided by machine at breakfast time - not good however. The tv remote in the room is held together with insulating tape. The guys who provide poolside activities are good with particular fun when they roll out a long mat and kids and adults alike try to walk on water. Volleyball also is fun created by these guys . On an evening the entertainment is strictly set to one hour - usually 9.30 to 10.30pm. Really bad attempts at tribute acts that should be left inside a cabaret pub setting. A magic act - give me strength - back we go to the 70's. The hotel is a long long drag on transfer bus from the airport and it reminded me of the "Carry On Abroad" comedy movie. In the all inclusive package you have a choice of attending 4 "premier" restaurants. However - only 1 is allowed within a 7 day stay. You must pay if you want to try the other 3. We opted for the Country Grill one. It's basically sausages, and burgers and chicken in breadcrumbs. The ribs are ok but nothing special. If you are looking for steak..look elsewhere. Overall, the staff are pleasant enough. No one stands out as "over and above for good service" however. This hotel is 3 star at its best and the thing to remember is that the all inclusive services seemed to be scaled as far back to bare minimum as possible. Don't expect the bars to be open all day or services available all day...its not happening here

Fantastic holiday! All areas are spotless. Breakfast is what you would expect from any all inclusive, hot full english breakfast options, continental breakfast options and pastries. Lunches vary what is on offer but if you do not like anything on offer in the main restaurant or fancy something typically English then you can visit the country grill for fresh burgers, nuggets, chips, kebabs etc. Dinner again is varied, there is usually choice of meat, fish, pasta and then themed nights on most evenings. If all else fails there are some beautiful restaurants local to the hotel (my all time favourite being Juans Steakhouse). 10 minute walk from the beautiful Sa Coma beach and only short car journey from main town Palma. We went on this holiday with nieces and nephews and the kids absolutely loved the option of all the pools and the on site splash park. There are 2 golf courses onsite as well as activities than run all throughout the day. The entertainment team are fantastic and make all activities enjoyable. There is a farm just opposite the hotel that you can book an excursion too through the hotel. There were 5 pools i believe so choice to move to another pool if one seemed a little too over-crowded. There is a bar open throughout the day when restaurants are closed and as all inclusive you have access to drinks and ice cream. Will definately be returning to Protur Safari Park with or without children.

Myself, husband and daughter (4 yo) stayed at the Protur Safari hotel in September of this year. The rooms were spacious, clean but do require some modernisation *which I believe is being done during the winter for next summer*. The surroundings were beautiful with lots' of activities on offer. The food was ok not great and although there are some themed restaurants to choose from they are all buffet style *except the Italian*. We went to the "Asian Fusion" theme buffet one night and was lovely to have a different outlook and less people but the food was average. The sushi rice was undercooked but also mushy (not sure how that is achieved) and the beef was tough as well as grisly. We could always finds something to eat but again everything was a little repetitive and the dishes on offer didn't always match the sides or accompaniments. We were prepared for as it's kind of expected with all inclusive. There are lots of local places to eat a short walk away. The night time entertainment was excellent but the kid's disco was an absolute disaster and dangerous. 50+ parents crowding round the kids - if you sat down you'd be able to see your child without putting theirs (and others) safety at risk. The kid's can't move with the adults crowding round ... my daughter struggled to get out the crowd on occasions to get to us as it was so busy with adults (we stayed seated to avoid adding to the madness). The entertainment team did try and get the Adults "behind the yellow line" but more need's to be done. The pools were great especially the kids areas however the water was soooo cold. My daughter loves the water but couldn't stand the being in the big pools for much longer than 5 mins (especially the larger pools). The shallower kids pools were a little more tolerable (by mid day). Maybe invest in some heaters to take the edge off (not talking hot tub just enough to stop people getting purple lips). The kids clubs were fab and my daughter looked forward to this daily (sometimes twice a day). We went to the wee safari one day (a groups leaves at 1030 every day from the club house), This is limited to1 hour - my daughter could of spent all day here feeding the goats leaves. Wear trainer's as its sandy/dirty and uncovered so can get hot! The walk to the beach was perfect and the beach cove itself beautiful. I'd return to Sa Coma again but not sure I'd return to this hotel which is a shame really as it's got the possibility of being great as so much to offer and all set in beautiful grounds.

Visited Safari Park early October with my wife and as usual had a great time. One thing I must say, this is a family oriented hotel and has a lot of rooms, although being a large complex never felt overcrowded, however if you want a quiet relaxing holiday maybe look elsewhere because there will be some noise from kids enjoying themselves, needless to say this does not bother us. This is our 6th visit and what is nice is a lot of staff have remained over the years and several of them recognise us. As usual everywhere is spotless, the food is good with enough choice to ensure no one goes hungry. Entertainment wise there are daytime activities, darts, aqua gym, pistol shooting to name a few, a kids club. In the evening there is a kids disco followed by a live act. The 2 mini golf courses and the sports facilities plus free bike hire are very good although the mini golf courses are beginning to show their age and are in need of some work. I have heard the hotel is being refurbished so maybe the mini golf courses will get a facelift. If you have young children or like us do not mind a bit of noise then visit Safari Park, you will not be disappointed.

Decent squash courts Adding this as I couldn’t find many details on the hotel website or in other reviews. The Protur Hotels have a tennis complex that includes 17 clay tennis courts and 2 padel courts, in addition there are two squash courts in decent condition. The floors have been varnished though are not slippery. Access is complementary for hotel visitors and you book in the club house for one hour slots. There are racquet and calls that you can borrow though they are pretty basic metal racquets ok for a knock up, though predictably not great. A usual facility especially when the weather is bad.

We had a fantastic stay at Protur Safari Park Aparthotel! It’s perfect for families, with plenty of entertainment options to keep everyone happy. The food selection was excellent, with something to suit all tastes, and the hotel itself was spotlessly clean. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. We would definitely return and recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, family-friendly holiday!

We travelled to Majorca as a family of 4 - 2 adults, a 6 year old and a 3 year old during May half term. To try and keep it as brief as possible to put your mind at ease! Hotel - located in a great place, shops just outside and a 10 minute walk to the beach. Room - we stayed in a one bed apartment which was spacious, clean and ideal for us. A large bedroom with a double bed (2 singles pushed together but made it huge!) And a large lounge area with kitchen space which had 2 sofas that we pushed together to make another double bed space. Loads of wardrobe space which was great. Bathroom was good too - a good size, a bathtub with overhead shower. And a balcony which was big enough not that we used it much. The rooms are spaced out nicely so it you didn't overcrowded or faced with lengthy corridors of endless rooms.. Pools - 3 main pools to choose from, alongside a small baby pool. The pools were very deep as you'll see in other reviews but you are allowed floats etc so it's fine! Yes they were cold, but once you are in, it's fine! And on a hot day, it's welcomed! The splashback is also just round the back of the hotel and is great fun for the younger kids! Both mine really loved it there and we would split our time between there and the pools. The splash park also has a self serve drinks area which is handy, alongside some trampolines, little rides and toilets. Sunloungers - this one's always a worry for me as I HATE the sunlounger wars. Yes people do start putting towels down around 730/8am but if you aren't fussy about a poolside lounger, you will get some - there are more than enough! They also don't feel crammed in which is a bonus. The only sunbeds that went straight away were those around the baby pool (there arent many). Food and drink - I've seen some negative reviews both before and after about the food but personally we didn't encounter any issues. In fact we were very happy with the food offering, especially at breakfast and dinner! There was SO much to choose from and it was delicious. Lunch was fine too but not as much variety however if you go to the bbq lunch by the mini golf, that was fab! Dinnertime especially did start to get busy, but the staff were good at clearing tables and getting people seated. With young kids, we always ate early but I did notice come 730, people were waiting to get in - albeit not long. Bars were great - self serve soft drinks by the pool or you could get served at the bar - loads to choose from including slushies (tip - mix these with a spirit and its lush!) Ice creams also self serve by the bar which was a firm fave for the kids! Entertainment - the team are fab! Always loads going on round the pool during the day and they encourage you to get involved without being pushy! One of the faves was the water mat which was very entertaining to watch! Evenings, the mini disco was good but didn't start until quite late. Lots of comments about parents stood round the edge which yes can be frustrating t

Haven’t had the chance to conduct a full tour of the facilities as only arrived today so it is fair that my comments are based on what has been experienced in the past few hours. If you are seeking some R and R then would recommend anyone looking to arrive in the next few days to reach out to their tour operator to arrange alternative accommodation. There are clearly a number of youth events going on at the venue based on the high number of unaccompanied minor running and making large amounts of noise. Having reported the issue to reception, they advised that they had received a number of complaints and that it should be resolved today or tomorrow.

Had a great time here with my 14 and 10 year old. Hotel was very clean and staff were friendly and helpful. Good choice of food and drinks. My children especially liked the lunch from the grill as they could eat around the pool. We are going to book for next year and would definitely recommend.
