Greenwich Hotels with Gym

A well located hotel 5 minutes from a DLR station a range of eating places locally although the hotel restaurant turned out to be a good option. helpful staff and a decent size room, but a bigger tv and a more modern shower would have added value to my 3 night stay

Nice and friendly staff. Have coffee machine with free capsules for guests. Room has a small open kitchen and is quiet but at a convenience location. Across the street, there are some cherry blossoms along the side street on both sides too.

This is definitely a case of getting what you pay for. The staff and service were exceptional but the amenities are definitely barebones. Would recommend for travellers simply looking for a place to shower and sleep without the frills. DLR-adjacent location makes getting around easy. Three issues of note for us: (1) only offering 30mins of free internet is really a bit much in this day and age; (2) the absence of a hairdryer, even a wall-mounted one, was sorely felt; (3) the lack of ventilation combined with restricted windows made the nighttime experience during warm seasons pretty much unbearable.

Room 510 stunk of cigarettes particularly the bathroom. We reported this to reception not long after check in but nothing was done about it and it was like this for the whole of our stay. Breakfast was very busy with big queues and a lot of items had run out despite there still being quite a bit of service time left. A lot of what was there you could tell was cheap ingredients which was a shame as Holiday Inn breakfasts are usually great. It was so basic we didn’t go again despite it being paid for. The fire alarm went off at 5am then stopped so we thought it was a false alarm. It then went off another twice. With a broken ankle and being on the 5th floor this was quite worrying. Upon check in I completed the box about requiring assistance in case of emergency however no one came to the room, not even a phone call. It was upon heading down stairs that another guest coming back up said it was a false alarm. When we checked out I mentioned this and was just told well it was a false alarm so that’s why no one came and it only went off once, this was false and when I challenged this she said her colleague told her it only went off once, she wasn’t working at that time. Very disappointing and quite a worrying situation to be in. Obviously glad it was a false alarm, it was set off in the kitchen, assuming when they were preparing the awful breakfast! Also the room window could open fully which for health and safety there normally should be a latch preventing this, especially on the 5th floor. This wasn’t an issue for me but better to mention these things. The good thing about this hotel is the close proximity to the o2 and public transport.

Very convenient place which only few street from Woolrich Station, clean, nice customer service, staff friendly, only without teeth brush & slpeey shoes.

For us the hotel was quite good. We were there 3 nights. Greenwich station is less than 2 minutes away and takes you to the centre. Overall the hotel was clean. The staff was nice. Unfortunately, the breakfast does not offer a large selection. I was missing more vegetables and more cold cuts like cheese or similar. My son was happy with the pancakes. When an adult pays for breakfast, a child eats free ( £8.99 ). The area wasn't so special now. 10 min walk and you will arrive at Cutty Sark. Unfortunately everything was completely closed on Christmas Day, including public transport. That's why we only went for a walk near the hotel that day. The rooms aren't that big, but you only sleep in them and don't stay in them for too long. Unfortunately, the pillows were too hard for us. We are stomach sleepers and our heads were too high. We didn't feel comfortable without it, so we slept with it and this led to back pain. But that's complaining on a high level, because everyone likes pillows, blankets and mattresses differently and in their own way. There are supermarkets nearby. We always go to the Tesco which is 10 minutes away and bought water and snacks for the evening. We would book the hotel again, in contrast to other hotels, it was inexpensive and yet clean and safe.

During my recent stay at St Christopher's Hostel in Greenwich, London, I unfortunately encountered several aspects that left a lot to be desired. This aspect significantly impacted my overall comfort during the stay and left a lasting impression that detracted from the positive aspects one hopes to find in a lodging establishment. Equally disappointing was the level of service provided by the hostel staff. Throughout my stay, I encountered instances where the service was notably poor. There seemed to be a lack of attentiveness and responsiveness to guest needs. Whether it was requests for information, assistance, or even basic inquiries, the staff's overall demeanor did not reflect a commitment to guest satisfaction. The combination of inadequate cleanliness and subpar service made for a less-than-pleasant experience at St Christopher's Hostel. It is my hope that these aspects can be addressed by the management to ensure a more positive and comfortable stay for future guests. While I understand that hostels may vary in terms of amenities, a baseline of cleanliness and attentive service is crucial for creating a welcoming and satisfactory environment for guests.
