The first time I stayed at this hotel, I feel very good. It is very close to the bus station to Santa Claus Village and the airport (opposite the hotel entrance). The hotel has a dedicated luggage storage room, which is convenient for leaving the store in advance. Recommended!

We stayed at Arctic City Hotel on mid-March for 3 nights. Our room was a style double room on the 3rd floor with street view. The hotel's location, at the very center of Rovaniemi, is undoubtedly great. Everything one might need was in walking distance. All tour operators, shopping centers, restaurants, cafe, supermarkets and bus stations (including the bus station for Santa's Village) were literally on your doorstep. Even the central railway station, the interurban bus station and the Arcticum were just 10min away on foot even with snow. You could even walk to the observation tower of the Ounasvaara Fell, following a great path through the snowy forest (aprox. 30 min). The room was clean and warm, not too large but comfortable for a couple, with a quite comfortable bed and an interesting deco. However, the bathroom was not spacious and the shower tube was tiny. Moreover, the shower glass panels should be replaced or better set-up since the floor got soaking wet when we had a shower. The breakfast was very tasty, with plenty of food and very well served in the hotel's quite cozy restaurant. The staff was super friendly and super helpful, both in the reception and the restaurant! To sum up, the owners of this hotel should consider some refurbishment of the rooms and definitely the bathrooms, in order to meet one's expectations from a 4-star hotel and for a better value-for-money rate. Its great pros are the location, the staff and the breakfast. Despite the small bathroom, we really enjoyed our stay there and we would visit this hotel again.

The room offered sufficient space, the bathroom was clean and looked new. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which offered a large variety of food and drinks. The sauna is also very recommandable. The location is central. There is a shopping mall just across the street, local and long distance bus stops are nearby. Personnel was very friendly and supportive.

I used it as a couple in December 2022. It is located about 5 minutes on foot from the k supermarket in the city center, and is in the opposite direction from the area where restaurants are gathered. Although it was the winter season, the sidewalks were cleanly cleared of snow, and after getting off the bus in front of the supermarket, you could walk to the hotel while rolling your carry-on bag. Not far enough to take a taxi. There are many houses around and it is quiet. I didn't use it, but there seems to be a sauna. Breakfast was delicious. It was a general menu such as bread, ham, cheese, salad, yogurt. The room was clean, but there was no safe. There is no partition between the shower and the toilet in the bathroom, so the toilet gets soaked when you take a shower. Overall, it is a recommended hotel.

The Santa Holidays Village hotel is great for families. Be careful with the reservations you make on Trip, we reserved a chalet for 2 adults and 2 children, arriving for check-in we were told that Trip only reserved for two adults and therefore the children must be paid extra. It is not serious for TRIP not to communicate the true price upon reservation. This site lacks transparency (it just notes a remark saying that additional fees may be charged by the hotel for children without telling you how much and especially without telling you that they have only booked for two people). So the worst thing is to have a room that is not even suitable for a family. At Santa Claus we had to pay 30€/night per child (fortunately we had booked a chalet so it was big enough for 4). We had the same experience in another hotel over the same period (apukka resort) which charged us €100 per night per child in an igloo, fortunately the igloo allocated to us could accommodate 2 children otherwise we would have been without the possibility of accommodating 4 of us.

The hotel is not far from the Santa Claus Village and is easily accessible by walking (Just 10 min). First time staying in an Igloo and it is definitely worth the money. Room is small but clean and well-decorated. Breakfast has wide variety of selections. Staff is very friendly and she gave us an Igloo beside the forest which is isolated and quiet. Love waking up every morning lying on the bed enjoying the views of White Christmas Trees surrounding our room. The glass is installed with heater which can melt the frost anytime when needed. The only disappointed is that we didn't get to see Northern Lights for our 2 nights stay. Will definitely stay here again if back in Rovaniemi.

Meet the New Year family in this wonderful place. Very glad they didn't make a mistake with the choice. Rest on 5 out of 5. It is really a very beautiful place in nature in the surrounding rivers (or lakes) and mothy oils, but to the city and village of Santa Claus hand to hand on the car. The houses themselves are cute, warm and comfortable, the atmosphere is home. Sound isolation is excellent. There is a sauna, and everything is! The hosts are pleasant and responsive people, thank you very much! All this creates a delightful mood and therefore contributes to a good rest! Minus, if such are, they are completely unwilling to notice. But I'll still let myself have a spoon of degth. Because it was New Year I personally didn't have enough dishes and I would have been good to update it. Well, in general everything is wonderful and we got better than we expected. Place to return! The Glass Igloo is small and not much space to open the luggage, however they have a very nice hot water shower which has around max. 25mins which you will be able to relax from whole day travel ☺️ . The location is not near airport, takes almost 40mins. shuttle bus from Santa Clause village to hotel. Though this location is really good for the chance of seeing Northern Lights ! We did ! Unluckily their ice bar and ice restaurant both under renovation and we don’t have chance to experience. That’s the downside of it.

Restaurant: The breakfast is good, with a variety of varieties, but the European gourmet bread is relatively poor here, and there are not many options for dinner. When I went, there were only three types of fish, chicken, and vegetarian, so I didn't eat it. Facilities: Disappointing, the wifi is very poor, often can't receive it, it can be used as no wifi. It's super inconvenient, even the Greater China Go bought in Hong Kong can't receive the Internet, it should be a problem with the location. I booked a lakeside room type, and the private sauna room is so small, I think it is only enough for 1 person, and there is not enough space for 2 people, it is really shocking! Totally unexpected for such a facility for such a price. The only redeeming feature of the hotel is its beautiful scenery, but the price/performance ratio is extremely low.
