Hotel Gabry

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Gabry September 2024 and we couldn't fault it at all. All the staff were polite and super helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious. We enjoyed the breakfast each morning, it truly was a feast, and all resolve of not going back up for seconds and thirds did not last long as it was just too good! The position of the hotel was ideal, just a short walk to the lake and a comfortable stroll into the town itself. The hotel puts on a free buffet at the bar on a Friday night too, which was, as we came to expect, delicious and a lovely treat. There is so much to do, too. We hired ebikes from the hotel for two days. They give you a choice of different priced ones. We went for the middle price and were not disappointed. Although bicycle traffic was heavy in the town, once you are out onto the cycle paths it is nice and quiet, and the views are stunning. On one of our many walks during our stay, we took the scenic lift up to the Bastione, and there are a few trails you can take once up there to continue exploring. We also quite by chance found steps up to Forti Monte Brione, which we really enjoyed... just be prepared for A LOT of steps as it is quite a climb. It is absolutely worth doing, though, as the views across the lake and Riva Del Garda are stunning. At our request the hotel organised our transport back to the airport as it was a very early start and they even provided us with a pack up for breakfast and offered us coffee at 5am! We would most definitely recommend staying at this hotel.

We had a lovely week here with our 2 teenagers, booked through TUI. It's a small, peaceful, and well managed family run hotel. Spotlessly clean, with a beautiful garden, pool, reception and breakfast area. The breakfast is superb with a huge choice and homemade cakes. It's set amongst several other hotels but well back off the main road. There was some evening music from other hotels but nothing late. We had top floor rooms with great views from the balconies. The rooms are basic but very comfortable beds, lots of storage, good showers and a mini fridge. Extremely clean. It's 5 mins walk to the lake and beach, but 25 into town, hard when it's hot! Lovely route along lake though. 2 mins on the bus; make sure you ask the hotel for the Trento card /app for free travel and discounts. There is a Co-op 10mins walk away for snacks, and a nice restaurant L'Ora 5 mins from the hotel if you don't want to go into town. Excellent E bike hire for 49 euros per day. Riva is absolutely beautiful but extremely hot and busy in August as you would expect. We've marked the hotel down because the twin rooms we had booked weren't available and we had to wait half an hour, hot, hungry and exhausted after a very long journey. It was resolved but the man on check in was very unfriendly about it. He didn't give us any refreshments, or welcome information about the hotel, the summer card or the area, just gave us the key and left us to it! We would have given 5 stars with a helpful and friendly check in.

Had a wonderful 7 day holiday here in late May, early June. The location is down a quiet side street but only 5 minutes walk from the lake, and about 20 minutes walk to Riva. We found the location perfect for us and really enjoyed the flat lakeside walk into Riva. There are a few restaurants and bars around the hotel if you want to stay local. The staff at the hotel were friendly and efficient and the breakfast was superb. The servers were brilliant at keeping everything topped up, and we never wanted for anything. Even had Bucks fizz available every morning. The pool was great, surrounded by mature trees and shrubs, with no shortage of sunloungers. Riva is a great town to explore and I would reccommend Hotel Gabry for anyone who wants bed and breakfast, and a super base to explore what the area offers.

We stayed for two weeks in Sept. Our room was fine for us, we people watched in the other hotels and the parked cars, but also lovely views of the mountains. A mini fridge would be very nice, especially with hot weather (which we had nearly every day) to keep drinks cool and for some food. There is a cupboard for one.... The aircon worked well and we certainly needed it. Breakfast is excellent, omelettes and fried eggs cooked to order, lovely cold meats, lots of fruit, yummy pastries, cakes! Also sparkling wine every morning, so I had regular Bucks Fizzes. The staff are all very good, receptionists very helpful. If you have an Android phone they have to set you up on the hotel wi-fi , but was all sorted quickly. We did take advantage of the Trentino guest card, which for north of the lake gets you free buses, free entries, or reduced entries, probably saved about £40-£50 all round. The reception has to give you a code to get it all validated, it's worth doing if you want to visit places in Riva and locally, but will only work in the north. My partner was very very happy with the secure bike storage, which is basement level with a ramp. There were many cyclists (mostly MTB) staying. The hotel is dog friendly, lots of Germans etc drive over with their bikes and their dogs. Dogs everywhere around (a bonus for me). Swimming pool was used, the pool area is small but that's fine as so many guests are out and about. Thank Hotel Gabry for hosting us on a lovely holiday.

We found check in to be simple and friendly. We were in room 344 with a view towards the lake. It did not fill the vista but we could see the lake and mountains so pretty stunning. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom served it's purpose well. The room was very clean and cleaned daily with fresh towel provided. The hotel are happy to supply pool towels as well. The breakfast selection was second to none, great egg options and the best pastry selection in the whole universe! For some reason the cakes actually tasted healthy there - all home made apparently. Remember to ask at reception for a code to activate the Guest Card app....it gets lots of freebies such as free bus travel, entry to Arco Castle and the Bastion. The location was good, around 3 mins to the park at the lakeside and depending on your route, around 15 to 25 mins into the old town. I really could not fault this place for the price we paid. One thing I did miss was a small fridge in the room...it would have been handy for snacks etc.

Stayed in here for a week. The staff was friendly, I found the lobby really awesome looking. It was very modern and the breakfast room had that same vibe as well. There was three of us, but we only got one key card, which I found a little strange but it didn't bother much. The breakfast was delicious and there were loads of options. The pool area was really nice too, but there could be a few more sunbeds, as on especially sunny days they were all taken very quickly. The rooms weren't as modern as the lobby, but they were pleasant. The bathroom was nice and clean, no complaints. The beds were okay, not the most comfortable but I as a deep sleeper was satisfied. The aircon was actually good, wasnt too loud but really cooling. Overall it was quite an enjoyable experience. Would stay again because of the quite low price.
