First of all would like to say that this is a really lovely hotel and deserves more than 3 stars. We had a great holiday and loved Lake Garda and the surrounding areas and the scenery was so picturesque with the stunning mountain backdrop. Our room was spotless very bright & airy with a huge comfy bed & pillows, really spacious room. small fridge where you get free bottled water everyday and a large walk in shower. Room cleaned & clean towels given every day. Air con worked great too. Breakfast on the rooftop every day was amazing. Lots to choose, from cereals to continental to eggs & bacon. The views are amazing up there. They have a chef every Sunday making omelettes and pancakes to order. The breakfast ladies were lovely & friendly too. As we were half board we had evening meal included which had a salad buffet to begin with followed by a 3 course meal. Honestly the food was so good and deserves 5 stars. Never had a bad meal and every course was delicious. Gala dinner on a Friday was 4 courses and was really nice. Again the waitresses all lovely. Hotel pool area is across the street accessed by your room card. Whole area was beautiful lovely trees and a big pool that was just the right temperature and lots of sun beds. They have a small self service bar area where you write down what you’ve had and gets added to your tab. And the hot tub was lovely too. Lots of cute lizards roaming around! Reception staff although friendly enough weren’t too helpful at times. We asked about getting the code for the trentino card as we had been told about it by other guests. one lady took our email and said she would email it but never did. We returned to reception a couple of days later to ask about this as we wanted to travel on the bus and the man said no code for you. This was strange as they advertise the card upon entering the hotel and every other guest seemed to have it. They also gave us wrong information about bus times too which you would expect them to know. The roof top breakfast area also seems like such a waste during the day/evening as if you want to have a drink up there you have to phone up and order but think they are missing a trick by not having a full bar up there with some music or something seemed a shame as the views were so amazing. We went up a few times for photos and were the only ones there. Also on the last day we noticed other guests had been given breakfast bags but we were never made aware that this was an option as we had to leave before the breakfast opened. Not major issues and didn’t impact the holiday but we did find this strange as its info we would have liked to have been aware of. Overall a lovely holiday & hotel just some minor improvements by reception and would have given 5 stars. Remember to bring mosquito repellant and plenty of sun cream!

What a lovely hotel! It’s very clean and our bedroom had been modernised with lovely fresh walls, furniture and fantastic shower room with a rain shower and separate hand held shower head. We had a small fridge in the room and were delighted to find that bottled water was replenished every day. We stayed in a superior room at the back of the hotel which had nice views of the mountains from the balcony and was very quiet. The breakfast room has the most amazing view of Lake Garda and we enjoyed watching all the activities on the lake. Breakfast was really good with lots of choice. We ate in the hotel one evening (we were B&B) and the food and service were great. We would have eaten in the hotel again but found so many other restaurants in the town to try. The hotel swimming pool and hot tub are lovely, very clean and it’s just lovely lying on your sunbed amongst the beautiful palm and olive trees. You enter using your room card so very secure. Easy walk to the town centre either via the lakeside path or through the town. Both about 20-25 mins and there’s loads of restaurants and shops on the way. Don’t miss the old town alleyways where there are lots of shops and restaurants. Ask reception for the Guest Card which gives free entry to attractions, local buses etc. You download an app and it was super easy to use. We took the bus to Arco using the Card and had a lovely day there and visited the castle, again using the Card. We took the ferry to Limone and it was beautiful. We used our Card there to visit the Lemon museum. We also used the Card a number of times in Riva itself. We went on the Tui trip to the Dolomites, highly recommend! A long day but very much worth it. We walked to Torbole along the lakeside path, only about 20-25 mins and had a coffee whilst watching all the water sports on the lake. There’s so much to see and do in the area and we had a lovely time.

Just back from a week in the riviera. Fantastic holiday. Photos are fair representation. We had a superior lake view double and a classic single. The single is small as shown in pictures but my daughter liked it. When refurbishing if the do an open or slide door wardrobe will work better in this space. The superior room had free safe, drinks fridge (deceptively roomy and useful for milk), kettle tea bags coffee and sugar. Both rooms had free water bottles. Proper showers. Blinds to darken rooms at night. Superior was electric control, the single a manual belt. We had trouble with this first time and let it go too far but the hotel fixed it straight away and then my daughter managed fine after. Breakfast fantastic. Best croissants ever. Scrambled eggs, boiler for boiling eggs, bacon, cold continental options, cereal, fruit, pastries, bread and toaster, jam honey, good juices, tea, coffee. Dinner. Always found something to choose for the 3 courses. Extra veggie options when needed. If you are not able to choose at breakfast as out for an early you can choose at dinner and it was not a long wait. The menu is in reception so you know the options in advance if you didn’t make breakfast. Pool area beautiful and peaceful. Enough loungers and lounge cushions. Never had trouble whatever time of day. Lovely hot tub. As well as the honesty fridge with very reasonably priced drinks there is a bathroom which was good. The hotel staff were very helpful, have timetables for busses and ferry and helped us with the free Trentino card which gives free local buses (we used to go to Arco) and free access including on the funicular to the bastion on the other side of riva for the views. We also used paid bus to malcesine 10 euros for 3 adults one way, and lake ledro 8.10 euros for 3 one way. Bedding and towels were changed frequently in the week. Location was very peaceful but short walk to coop supermarket and didn’t take us more than 30 minutes to town centre. Lake is just behind the port so only a few minutes walk. In the evenings there is a drinks menu and phone on the 4th floor breakfast terrace if you would like to have a drink up there rather than ground floor bar. Sofas and loungers as well as tables and chairs. Lots of repeat visitors to this hotel and I think we will be back too.

I have been waiting a couple of weeks since we came back, simply because I wanted to book again before I reviewed it. That’s because I didn’t want to miss a chance to book because it’s full because of a review I wrote! Does that make sense? Well it does to me. I have just booked for next year and could not get the weeks I wanted in the rooms I wanted and I think that tells you everything. Is it a five star hotel? Well no it’s rating is 3 star but it’s better than that. I have given it 5 stars because for us it ticked all the boxes. Great location, walk to the lake in just minutes. Hotel is immaculately clean. That’s a big plus for us. We have been to many hotels which just cannot get even this basic right. The owner and his family and all of the staff are just very very nice.and very very helpful. Just a quick note here, reference the Mio Trentino card. I have seen people saying they could not get it working for various reasons. I just asked at reception and it was done straight away. Okay the food.-The breakfast was brilliant, everything we needed. Great quality and an amazing view from the roof terrace. My comment on the evening meal would be ‘enough’ we were so full we couldn’t eat it all. I was worried about the pool being over the road, but it isn’t a problem at all. Excellent area with a honesty bar where you help yourself to the drink and write it down. The area is accessed by your room card so it’s not open to general public. I did notice from the roof terrace a couple of people putting towels on the sunbeds early morning but that’s common everywhere. The room was very modern. Apparently it has been modernised bit by bit over the last few years. Everything you need in the rooms, hairdryer, safe, fridge, lovely modern shower, comfortable beds. It won’t get a five star from the people who give these things out but it’s a five star from me. Looking forward to being back there next year, God willing.

This was our 2nd visit to the Riviera. The hotel has had an upgrade since we last stayed. We had room 102 on the 1st floor a beautifully decorated room overlooking the Marina with a spacious balcony. Plenty of storage areas and a lovely modern bathroom. Tea and coffee provided. We were there for 10 days on a half board basis - lovely choice of breakfast served on 4th floor with great views. Good choice of evening meals not repeated in 10 days. Fabulous pool area across the road accessed by your room card - a really peaceful area with an honesty bar, toilets and changing rooms. Don't be put off by the fact the hotel is on a busy road as the room has sound proof doors with electric shutters that cut out any noise. All in all this is a beautifully run hotel and we would definitely return.

This was our first stay at this hotel and we enjoyed it thoroughly. Michela was extremely helpful and she checked us in and showed us to our room, 205, which had a beuatiful outlook over the marina to the lake and the mountains beyond. We have to say that all the hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We stayed half board and the meals were delicious and plentiful. Drinks were very reasonably priced and we thoroughly enjoyed a bottle of Bardolino Classico each evening with dinner. Riva Del Garda is a favourite of ours and the Riviera hotel is ideally positioned for access to the beautiful lake walk into the centre of the town. We very much hope to return to the Riviera next year.

The hotel Riviera is in a great location, an easy flat walk into Riva, there is also a handy supermarket down the road. The pool is over the road, however this was not an issue as the pool area is lovely, great views of the mountains, great pool and garden area, plenty of sun beds the whole area is extremely well kept. All the staff at the hotel are lovely and if you have any requests or queries they are always ready to help. We stayed half board, the breakfasts were good and so were the evening meals. We stayed 2 weeks and the evening menu was varied and the food was delicious. We had rooms on the front of the hotel with stunning views of the mountains and lake, the rooms were well equipped and clean. I would definitely stay at this hotel again it certainly deserves the outstanding reviews that it gets on trip advisor.

This small 3 star is a lovely family hotel. Service was excellent, friendly but not intrusive and the breakfast and dinner offering was varied and tasty. Added to this, our room was clean and extremely comfortable with views out over the lake. Yes, the road can be noisy when you’re on the balcony but once the windows and shutters were closed we had a fantastic night’s sleep. The pool area is well kept and is a great little spot to cool off. Thank you for a great stay!

Not sure why there’s no current reviews however, I shall write one. Lovely family run hotel, nothing was too much trouble. Room was one of the nicest rooms we have stayed in, it had everything you needed. It remained cool despite 30 + degrees outside. It always smelt lovely after being cleaned. The beds were super comfy. I would definitely recommend a superior lake view room, amazing views. The hotel was in a great location, everything was close by and within walking distance. There’s a lovely pool across the road with plenty of sunbeds. Breakfast was plentiful and had a good choice, it was located on the roof terrace of the hotel with lovely views. I would definitely recommend this hotel if your visiting the north part of Lake Garda(Riva del Garda) you won’t be disappointed.
