Some good some bad!
It’s not modern and it’s not pristine but clean enough. One of us found bed comfy other didn’t. Room too light in the morning blackout blind would be good. Walls far too thin can hear everything in next room. Didn’t dare put on tv so as not to disturb other guests. Pub noise started early and woke us. Room temp was good for us but fan provided if needed. Pillows nice. Parking plentiful. Breakfast was nice and staff v friendly.

Kid free so we went for lunch. Not the greatest start having never been before, no one acknowledged us when we arrived. Beautiful outside space, lovely play area for children. No lunch menu available here which was a little disappointing. Food was ok, would return but wouldn't rush back. Was happy with the price of the full menu.

It’s sad to say, as this has been one of our favourite pubs in the area for a while, but we won’t be coming back in a hurry. The food has really let the place down. My daughter ordered a chicken burger which for nearly £16, you’d expect a nice breaded chicken breast, however she was served a frozen Birds Eye burger which wasn’t nice at all. When asked why this was the case, the lady said people used to complain the chicken breast in a burger was too big? This is crazy to me! Who would rather have a frozen burger with mashed chicken then a nice breaded chicken breast for £16. They have also introduced free kids meals. To be honest, I’d rather pay for a decent meal then give my son the burnt pizza (also frozen type) and chips he was served. What’s happened to this pub? I think management needs to rethink their business plans, otherwise I think they’ll start losing business and loyal customers. I used to recommend this pub, saying the food was really nice, but I’m afraid I won’t be doing this anytime soon!

What a shame! This beautiful country pub has completely changed since our last visit. We used to live fairly locally and often visited The Bull over the years and were never disappointed with the food, service and friendly professionalism. Unfortunately when we took our Mothers there last week for an early Mothers Day lunch we didn't realise it had changed hands since our last visit and has really gone downhill. On arrival at our table we all had to sweep crumbs off our grubby chairs and underneath the table was filthy. Our waitress was unenthusiastic and seemed very bored and preoccupied with her phone between service. We had all made an effort to dress up a bit as this has always been a smart country pub. Our waitress was in flip flops! The food was just awful and barely edible. Such a disappointing experience that we put on brave faces for so as not to completely ruin our Mothers Day out.

I had my birthday party in the Bull last week and it was wonderful. A gorgeous country pub in a beautiful village. All of the staff were friendly, attentive and wonderful. The food was delicious and the wine flowing and everyone made us feel so welcome. It was great value for money and a fabulous, memorable night. Thank you all so soooo much.

Popped in today as we used to love coming here when we lived in the area and it did not disappoint! Food was amazing. Burgers cooked to perfection. Everything tasted so fresh. The staff were also really friendly. Will definitely be coming back, perfect spot for lunch 🥰
