7 of us attended for Christmas Day lunch. We all agreed the dinner was excellent. All very well presented and served. Lovely Christmas atmosphere with an open fire. 2 very minor things I would like to point out is....A bit more toast with the parfait. Homemade mince pies and coffee were on the menu but the waitress didn't know when I questioned, and we were not offered. However they are very minor points in the wider scale as the food service and ambience was exceptional. We thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas Day experience. WELL DONE 👏 see you next year 😊

We stumbled upon this fabulous place quite by accident but we’re so glad we did. Great pub and we ended up staying for dinner and getting 3 rooms for the night. The food was fabulous Fantastic value and the team were brilliant , especially Dominic and Anastasia. Already looking forward to returning one day very soon! Highly recommend if you like country pubs and picturesque walks

Fantastic night. Absolutely phenomenal food and service. I would urge anyone who wants to come to Berkshire to book this venue either for bed and breakfast or an evening meal. Anna and all her staff are so welcoming. Such a beautiful country pub with fabulous food, service and staff.

Great location, lovely bar staff, comfy bed, the perfect stay! Would recommend anyone to come and stay here. The food was also lovely and the wait wasn’t long! Great selection of pints and wine cannot wait to go again. Thanks so much to the lovely staff!

The Bull have begun serving their Christmas menus quite early and we decided to try out their 3 courses for £25 deal. It was excellent! Complementary glass of mulled wine to start which was perfect on such a chilly day. Generous and tasty starters - we had soup and prawn cocktail. I don’t normally choose soup as it’s quite filling but it was really delicious! Then traditional roast turkey for the mains; the meat was succulent with plenty of veg to accompany, including a side dish of cauliflower & broccoli cheese. The desserts were beautifully presented and a good size to end the meal. Service was attentive and friendly and the bar/restaurant area had a nice atmosphere with a log burning stove & pretty Christmas decorations. Definitely really good value. The only thing I would change was the music which didn’t really add to the atmosphere - something more subtle would be good, although we were glad the Christmas songs haven’t started yet!

Lovely country pub with lovely staff and lovely roasts. Very good value for the size of the portions. Crispy roast potatoes, hot veg and melt in the mouth pork belly. It was nice to have open fires as it gave a warm feeling to a lovely old building.

We had a Sunday roast at the Bull this weekend. The food was awful, the beef was tough, the roast potato’s tasted awful and the gravy tasteless, the pub looked and felt dirty, and the head waitress was rude. Something has definitely changed since we last visited a year ago, and definitely wasn’t worth the £70 spent. This pub has gone downhill.
