Katarino Spa Hotel

The hotel needs renovation. The booking price is high, which is not relevant. It’s definitely not worth it. I would visit it again if the price is 150 lv per night, not 300 lv. Although the food at breakfast and dinner was very tasty and high quality.

It could be considered almost impossible to find a hotel that fits all preferences - travelling with kids, as a couple, team building, weekend escape or a full vacation, but Katarino can fit all. Amazing food and excellent service comes on the top. Not to mention the spectacular scenery and the excellent amenities. Really worth a visit!

One of the best holiday resorts you can find in Bulgaria. Excellent indoors and outdoors facilities, very clean and well maintained hotel. Very professional and polite staff and great service. Extremely delicious and quality foods and drinks, big variety. Many of the foods served are all home made. Magical views and beautiful surrounding scenery. I would definitely recommend!

We visited the hotel at the end of July and here are my impressions Positive The hotel is located in the heart of the forest, a very pleasant and quiet place. It's so calm and away from the city so on the evening you can watch the stars. The rooms are large, the beds - very comfortable. We were accommodated on the first floor and had a huge terrace. The food is magnificent. Delicious, freshly prepared and healthy. The pools are nice, with warm water. The hotel is very suitable for families with children. There are many different entertainments for them. Negative There is no air condition in the hotel!!! If it is 35 C outside, it is hard to survive in a hotel without air condition. It's so hot inside the building. I really can't understand how is possible in such nice place to miss something so important. Cleanliness in the rooms is terrible. 4 days they didn't clean the balcony, the floor wasn't cleaned either, the beds weren't made. Luckily the towels, robes and sheets were clean. Young boys cleaned the walls of the pools, but all the dirt fell into the water. Pufff Otherwise, the staff is very nice and kind, and for a short break, the hotel is wonderful. If u have small kids, u will enjoy the place.

I would like to greet the staff of the Katarino Spa Hotel for the perfect hotel service in each aspect: cleanliness of the rooms and common areas, restourant service with variety and tasty choices of food for breakfast and dinner, children animation, cleanliness of the pool with excellent tempriture, variety of the spa suggestions.

We’ve visited this hotel a few times over the past few years. The location is excellent with beautiful views of the mountains (that is if your room is facing them). Unfortunately the bigger apartments all face the opposite side which has nothing to offer other than constant noise from the main entrance, parking lot and employees rest areas. This might not be a problem in the winter time but during the summer it makes a difference. The rooms are getting a bit old and outdated. So are the bathrooms. The pool and spa are nice. The spa team is amazing - they offer great services. The restaurant is good. The food is a bit hit and miss: the barbecue is dry and flavourless. The variety is not as big. The service and people are the hotel’s biggest assets. Everyone is extremely nice and helpful, going above and beyond to please.
