Swiss Belsuites was our favourite accommodation across the 9 accommodations we stayed during our holiday in New Zealand! We absolutely love how spacious the place is. Huge cooking space with a comfortable living room with a large L-shaped sofa made for many nights in to cook our own dinner, which was made even easier with the provision of two dishwashing machines and almost every cooking equipment/cutleries you may need. It is also the only accommodation where we got to enjoy using a smart TV where we could easily use our own subscription accounts (via scanning QR codes) to stream videos during our dinners. The bedroom is also really comfortable and the toilet was very clean as well. We also had our washing machine and dryer, which was really useful as we were in New Zealand for two weeks. The best part of our stay was the view of Lake Wakitipu which we could enjoy from our living room. Was such a great stay that we were so sad to check out at the end. Highly recommended!!

Location of the hotel was pretty convenient. Also every room has its own corresponding parking place which is a huge plus. The downside is that the rooms were quite small for two persons. Breakfast options also were not very good. Would recommend getting the lake viewing rooms if budget is not your concern

Pounamu apartments super suites are the upstairs units with a small balcony. The view over the lake and the mountains was really nice, especially after a snowfall overnight. Inside the unit, the kitchen was very functional with oven, cooktop and microwave. Air conditioning and fake fireplace kept the unit to a reasonable heat at the start of winter but this may be an issue in the middle of winter. The shower had great water pressure and great hot water. It too about 15 minutes to walk into the city centre but the walk back along the lake requires a walk up a hill which was a little taxing so the main road is a better way back. Short drive to New World and Woolworths in Frankton.

The room was small but well equipped with mini kitchen extra blankets & also simple breakfast. They ease our late check-in well with parking facilities. Overall it was a reasonable stay.

When we checked in on the first day, we immediately noticed that the floor was quite dusty, as though it hadn't been vacuumed. We waited until the second day, only to find that the housekeeping staff didn't remove their shoes while cleaning and didn’t even sweep or vacuum the floor. This is a hotel, not an Airbnb, and if the price includes housekeeping, they should be delivering that service properly.
Additionally, the amenities are outdated. The kitten was rusty, and the cooking pots were in poor condition. Given that the price per night is comparable to higher mid-range hotels in the area, I would recommend considering other hotels for the same budget. You'll likely find better value elsewhere.
The hotel location is okay, staffs are friendly.
