The décor of the rooms were excellent and the small touches - such as the music that plays when you walk into the room, and the small bar area, the art work, and the welcome book - were really special. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were quite, and the size of the room was prefect for two people. There is a sauna available to use by in-house guests, which is excellent after a long hike. Overall, the quality of the room was value for money.
There is also a restaurant, but sadly it was not open the day that we stayed (Monday). We were quite upset about that as we had read very good reviews about the chef and food quality! Whilst the staff were nice at check in, they did not give much information about the premises (i.e. they didn't give us a tour or anything), and we had to ask a lot of questions.
The location is outside of town, but a short drive if you have a car, or a short bus ride (the bus stop is right outside the hotel).
Overall, I would highly recommend to stay here!
The location is very good, the real lake view room. From the outside, the building looks a bit dated, but the rooms are typical motels with clean beds. That is, the bathroom window of our room is connected to the corridor, if someone in the corridor can hear it better. There is a door between the other two standard rooms, so the sound insulation effect is average.
It can be said that this hotel is the most satisfying one in my entire trip to New Zealand.
The room is so big. You can see the lakeside as soon as you enter. There is a kitchen with utensils, a refrigerator, an oven, etc., suitable for making some simple meals by yourself.
The service is very good and you can park for free. We have an RV and they very considerately reserved the two most convenient parking spaces for us outside.
The location is the most convenient. It's right next to the steamboat dock. It's only a three-minute walk away. There are many restaurants and shops nearby, and shopping is also very convenient.

Going out from the side door is the downtown area of Queenstown, which is very convenient. And the location is at the entrance to Queenstown, so you don't have to go through the urban traffic jam to go to the airport or Arrow town. There is nothing to say about the location.
The disadvantage is that there are kitchen and tableware but no pepper, salt and salad oil. I asked the counter and the reply was to go to the supermarket to buy it by myself. Also the oven in the room was malfunctioning and couldn't be used.
The service attitude is good. It was very hot on the day we arrived, but the hotels and apartments in Queenstown have no air-conditioning, only electric fans (super noisy), and there is only one, so I asked by phone to borrow another fan, and I was very polite. Look inside the counter (the counter is closed).
Considering the overall location and cp value is very good, but it would be better if the equipment can be strengthened.
Environment: The most important thing is the environment. It is right in the center of Queenstown. Open the window and you will see the largest lake.
Facilities: There is a small happy hour living room with many Chinese elements and a wide variety of wines.
Hygiene: Hygiene is okay, but water easily flows out of the bathing area
Service: The young lady who received me in Queenstown on the first day was very enthusiastic.
Especially beautiful boutique hotel, the breakfast room is decorated with taste, and the order is delicious. The tableware is exquisite. Host helps to book a restaurant, about car travel, really impeccable. Because the hotel is on a hillside, drinking a welcome drink in the yard can overlook the lake view, what is the bartender and the guests have a pleasant discussion to decide! The most recommended hotel in Queenstown! Personally feel that it is not suitable for children, too quiet environment.
This Holiday Park was very clean for us and a child. The facilities provided here exceed expectations where there is a place to cook.
A very strategic location with the town of Queenstown only walking distance to the beautiful lake.
The staff here are also very helpful by providing advice to us where we plan to go skiing and are advised to go early in the morning with the weather forecast being quite good in the morning at 10.00 am.
The location is across the street from the center of Queenstown, and the last slope is here. Facilities are all complete, kitchenware, dishwasher, washer dryer. The hotel's requirements for guests are relatively comprehensive. There is an error in the translation of the instructions. If you lose the key, the English version will pay 30 yuan. The Chinese version will pay 50 yuan.
It's very good. I booked a house with two bedrooms and one living room, with a yard. The kitchenware is complete and the room is also very nice. It takes about 7 or 8 minutes to walk to Big Face Burger. You have to walk up a steep slope and it will be tiring to drag your luggage. Standing at the door while the road was being built, it took a lot of time to find a place for the first time. Those with one bedroom and one living room are on the second floor, and those with two bedrooms and one living room are on the ground floor.
The location of this hotel is very good. It is right in the center of the town and you can walk to the most beautiful shore in three minutes. Anyway, it's convenient to go anywhere. The only problem is that you may have to look for parking on the roadside. The hotel room is really big, and the equipment and speakers inside are very good. It's also close to a bar, so it's a bit noisy at night. Everything in the refrigerator is free except alcohol, and there are unlimited refills. For breakfast, it is beautifully prepared on site downstairs. I remember that the big breakfast was about 30 New Zealand dollars. It is worth commenting and worth staying at.

GGuest UserIt is clean, quiet and a very nice hostel! Except the room next door was a little loud on my second night of stay. The toilet and bathroom was clean too. Everything is good except hairdryer needs to be change. Would come back! And location is walking distance to the town.
CCharmaine S—-Pros: the hotel room was really clean and spacious
Location was good, really near the main shops area
Cons: the hotel informed there was no parking available as their carpark was full and it was first come first serve. So guests are expected to circle the hotel vicinity for a lot when they arrive? Especially when it’s stated that parking is available onsite.
Front desk staff was really rude with an attitude. She suggested street parking but I told her I wasn’t comfortable with parallel parking and she just got really rude with a take it or leave it attitude. We booked two rooms but she only gave one room’s card and I had to remind her for the other room’s card.
Anyways. The hotel is a maze where we had to take lift to a different level, walk to a different building and take another lift to get to the room. Abit creepy for solo travellers.
Overall; the rooms are well maintained but beware of the lack of parking + rude staff
GGuest UserLovely lake view from the room and hotel terrace. Queenstown stay become even pleasant with this location. Friendly staffs, bar menu drinks and breakfast was awesome. Its 10/10 place to be , adding sugar on top for Queenstown city
RRafael OsorioLyLo Queenstown offers a great accommodation experience in the heart of Queenstown. The hotel’s prime location provides easy access to the town’s vibrant attractions, dining, and adventure activities. Guests can choose from private rooms or sleeping pods, which are comfortable and clean. The rooftop bar and communal areas are popular spots for relaxation and socializing. Overall, LyLo Queenstown is an excellent choice for travelers seeking a central location, friendly staff, and a distinctive lodging experience.
DDOY_TXWI recently stayed at this hotel for a short trip and was looking for a room with a lake view, easy access to the airport, and proximity to town. It met my basic expectations.
Pros:
- Clean and well-maintained room.
- Room size is comfortable for two adults.
- 24-hour reception is very convenient.
- Bus stops (Bus 1) are right in front of the hotel.
- The balcony with chairs and a table offers a serene view of the river.
- Buffet breakfast starts early at 6:30 AM, which is great for me as my coach to Lake Tekapo was at 8am.
- Room comes with all necessities, plus a microwave, which was a huge bonus for me.
Cons:
- Booked a lake-view room, but the view was partially blocked by bushes/trees as the room was on Level 2.
Located next to a busy main road, and passerby visibility made it feel less private.
Overall, I had a pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel to family and friends for its convenience and comfort.
GGuest UserThe room is as clean and user-friendly as always. Holiday Inn abroad is really the first choice for cost-effectiveness. There is a parking space. It is very good to stay for one night. It is also convenient to buy burgers and so on in the city. The view is not much. It is mainly for staying. If you want a view, you still have to go to the Lake View Hotel. Hahahaha, recommended
EEVGENIISituated in the breathtaking Te Anau region, the hotel provided a stunning backdrop for an unforgettable stay. The rooms were spacious and elegantly furnished, offering magnificent views of the surrounding mountains and lakes. The attentive staff catered to every need, ensuring a memorable experience, made it an excellent choice for nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers.
GGuest UserPounamu apartments super suites are the upstairs units with a small balcony. The view over the lake and the mountains was really nice, especially after a snowfall overnight. Inside the unit, the kitchen was very functional with oven, cooktop and microwave. Air conditioning and fake fireplace kept the unit to a reasonable heat at the start of winter but this may be an issue in the middle of winter. The shower had great water pressure and great hot water. It too about 15 minutes to walk into the city centre but the walk back along the lake requires a walk up a hill which was a little taxing so the main road is a better way back. Short drive to New World and Woolworths in Frankton.
CCraigDecent hostel in good location within 5min walk to the town centre.
The showers are dated and no shower gel or shampoo. Which is normal standards in most hostels around the world.
They did provide towels which were a added bonus.
Would I stay again. Probably.
NNelA great experience for a female solo traveler. I
Pros
I shared a female dorm with three other women and had a great time getting to know those coming in and out. The shared bathroom was always clean (cleaned every day).
The communal kitchen is large and well-organised. You can make use of condiments that get left behind. As it was still cold, there are always fires burning both in reception and the common room. It makes the atmosphere very cosy.
The best service I got was from their information desk, which is located in the reception area. As I didn't have a credit card and businesses like Snowbiz in town don't accept cash, I was able to pay for ski passes and rental by making a booking at the service desk (they have a card machine and also accept cash).
Cons
This side of the hostel where my room was located, just experiences a lot of noise, as there are bars down below, despite the sliding door being sound-proof. Not all the reading lamps for each bed work and also need to be fixed. The shower leaked a lot of water, as the glass door doesn't properly close.
Overall though, a great stay and value for money. You do save on accommodation, as QT is an expensive town to visit.
