Hotel is clean , staff are ok, food is not bad (not very good either) and the parties on the roof top are fun. Hotel asks Egyptian residents to pay an additional fees on arrival which was kind of bargain and unacceptable

Quiet, calm, not many people, delicious cuisine, animation.

This is not the first time we have stayed at this hotel, lunch and dinner are delicious, the room is clean, the only thing missing is a beach on the premises.

Just returned from 2 weeks at this hotel. Had an amazing time. The staff were so helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Room cleaned daily, bed linen and towels. The most amazing artistry from the housekeeper Ramadan. Anna from guest services went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed during our stay. Attef Nageh, the most polite and attentive barman I've ever come across. My son misses him already! Alaa in the Spa was great, highly recommend nails and a facial. Mahmood 'whatever' in the lobby made the most wonderful drinks, and always with a smile . A choice of pool for everyone, from active to meditation. Restaurant staff incredible. To be honest everyone was superb. I can't praise them enough. The hotel Manager was present daily and always took the time to speak with everyone he passed. A beautiful Italian inspired hotel, an absolute gem. Taxi's are cheap, to the old market they only cost the equivalent of around £1.50 each way. Bargain. Would definitely recommend this hotel to those not wanting a resort complex, and certainly look forward to staying here again in the future.

We had such a great time at Il Mercato, Sharm el Sheik. The staff especially Mahmood Said who got us our drinks and remembered us from last year made it all wothwhile. Made to feel welcome by all staff, the pool, the pool bar, reception and Mahmood Said.

Just had a short break at Il Mercato and the welcome and service that we have received is impeccable. From day one the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is extremely clean and the restaurant is also outstanding. The food on offer is local and was very tasty. Big shout to the omelette maker in the morning. One special thank you to Mahmoud Saied who works tirelessly making my Big Mo special Cocktails for me to enjoy. Always smiling and cheerful and concerned for our happiness throughout our stay "Whatever" Great place I will return in the future and will recommend to my friends and family. Until we meet again goodbye my friends at Il Mercato. Nearly forgot one member of staff let us use his phone all evening to watch the England Vs Slovenia game as it wasn't being screened. Once again a fantastic stay, we keep coming back, and it’s the staff that make it, Mahmoud in the restaurant always looked after us and made sure we had plenty to drink and started to make our table for 6… Mahmoud saied at the reception bar was great as well he always kept his eye on us and topped us up when we finished, his favourite English word was “Whatever” The man who makes our room up always makes an animal of sort for when we get back in

Stayed here end of April for 1 week. Hotel itself was clean and couldn't fault the staff, very helpful and always polite. Location is ok, pretty run down around the vicinity, there are shops etc there but looks like loads have closed and are now derelict. Food: well breakfast was interesting, not like other hotels I've stayed at in sharm before was very random! Cereal isn't like UK cereal, worse than value stuff by a long shot. Egg station for omelette uses same bowls for everyone's orders and twice I got shells in my eggs so then gave up. Yoghurt, fruit and waffles available and toast so pretty much had that every day! Dinner is repetitive and disappointing, much the same every evening not much taste. Lunch option is better than dinner options, enjoyed the goulash. Always salad, rice and bread at every meal. Disappointed overall with the food could do much more and I'm not an overly fussy eater, will try most things! Snacks: served upstairs near activity pool, hotdogs/burgers (not like British stuff so if you're fussy you'll likely not enjoy) and chips. Paid for beach was amazing swam with the fish in the shallow water. Not too hard to find walking there in the morning, got bus back Didn't do the free beach. You do get pestered by the pool asking about excursions/spa/beauty etc. Haggle,haggle haggle if you do want anything though, prices are crazy starting off! Overall lovely weather, lovely staff and hotel clean. Nice for a getaway but food needs to be a lot better to consider returning.

This was our second stay here and things had changed since our 1st visit in October 2022. Iman reservation manager ensured we had the same rooms as previous at our request (a few months in advance) which was greatly appreciated. The daily service of our rooms had dropped a bit just basics like leaving toilet paper and towels. The food was fairly average and repetitive but we always found something to eat and it was generally very good although we tried the a la carte and were not impressed by it as it was same food from buffet. The spa is excellent and Shimma and Mohammed (Faron) are fantastic masseurs. Our star member of staff though is Mostafa Kamal our pool lifeguard who made our stay, with his fantastic customer service always going above and beyond what his job title implies, an asset to the hotel. My star rating is more 3.5 as just those few things let it down but we will still return as we do love having everything on site and overall these things had a minor impact on our rest and relaxation time.

Impeccable service everywhere. Food excellent, especially Egyptian food. Air conditioning in the rooms is very effective although noisy. All inclusive is sometimes confusing as wine isn't served anywhere outside the dining room and some bars are not open at the times stated. The pools are all great, there's one with activities we avoided, but if you like loud music and activities in the water this is the one to choose. Evening entertainment is performed by enthusiastic team, and is pretty cheesy. Lobby bar opens til midnight with a grand piano player playing well beyond this time, so if you want to sleep before a day's diving, choose your room well away from the lobby. Rooms are cleaned to an excellent standard, bring conditioner if this is important to you as they only have shampoo and shower gel (which look identical). We didn't use the spa, but there is a gym as well, and a beach with shuttle. We didn't try this so can't comment. This hotel met our expectations and we would stay here again for the service and location. Thanks for a great stay.

This is the second time I have visited il Mercato for a diving holiday with Elite Diving. Mahmoud Said is notably an attentive employee that takes good care of me during my stay going beyond his duties on the hotel bar to translate and help communication with other hotel member staff.

A-ma -zing if you are looking to be pampered and have the perfect relaxing holiday this is 100% the place to go. The hotel was immaculate, we were so well looked after, everybody even the lovely people who cleaned our rooms went out of their way to help, very polite, respectful and courteous. The poolside staff, again were so friendly and helpful. The Spa facilities are amazing, the best facial I have ever had and the massage was so lovely, again an extremely high standard. As for the food, I am gluten and dairy free; the catering manager talked me through the foods and to my amazement there was very little I couldn't eat, which is very rarely usual anywhere! The lovely team in the kitchen even made me special desserts with strict adherence to cross contamination. I hasten to add the food is very tasty and varied, and as a nutritionist I can also state extremely healthy too. I could not fault this lovely hotel and spa, I went home feeling a million dollars and so relaxed. There was also entertainment every evening, which ranged from humorous but highly professional differing dancers, to a beautiful pianist. I enjoyed myself so much I have booked again to go back in November! Thank you very much to all at Il Mercato Hotel and Spa and those who looked after us so well, you know who you are!

Everything has been amazing, starting from the hotel staff to the living experience and offered excursions. All the workers are friendly, helpful and just amazing. Special thanks to mr. Hamid for organising interesting and breathtaking trips. We spent a great time and we enjoyed every minute of our trips! Definitely recommending to everyone!

All staff were exceptional. Mahmoud from the bar was friendly , helpful and even remembered how I like my coffee! Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was very well presented and cleaned well every day and would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Sharm.
