Update: On March 7, 2024, Cheapoair sent us an email stating we would receive a $12.32 refund. Absolutely nowhere in the email did it state that they inspected the property for the safety considerations we pointed out to them. Cheapoair has no consideration for the safety of their clients. Beware if you are considering them! Cheapoair sold us a package that included RT flights from Buenos Aires to Iguazu Falls with the hotel included. The flights were fine. The hotel, La Cautiva Iguazú Hotel, was listed as a 3 star hotel. It was NOT! In our opinion, this is an unsafe place to stay in that the property is badly in need of fixing hazards. We contacted Cheapoair with our concerns, advising them that this place should not be listed until fixes are made. That was almost a month ago and we continue to get once or twice weekly emails asking us to give them more time. We don't want travelers to have the same horrible experience and Cheapoair is delaying action. Our observations included: broken light fixtures, numerous electrical wiring issues, peeling paint, dirt and mold throughout, cracked uneven pavement, musty smelling rooms, broken chairs in pool area, green mold floating and on walls and floor of pool, difficult to lock room. Additionally, the hotel is listed as speaking English. Only one desk clerk spoke English and she was not there most of the time. Date of experience: February 01, 2024

That was almost a month ago and we continue to get once or twice weekly emails asking us to give them more time. We don't want travelers to have the same horrible experience and Cheapoair is delaying action. Our observations : Dirty, cracked walkways. Paving needs replaced. Mold, cracks, and dirt on walls in the room. Peeling paint. Broken light fixtures in the hall and exposed wires in our room. Old fashioned keys which are hard to use in doors. Rooms smell musty. Green mold floating in pool and on the walls and floor of the pool. Broken pool chairs. Advertised English- only one female clerk spoke limited English. Asked to have our room cleaned and fresh towels. Given 2 fresh bath towels and floor mat. Hand towels were not replaced. Turned off the AC. Came back to a hot room. Told us if we dropped towels on the ground and they got dirty, we would be charged. The thin towels must be at least 10 years old. Electrical fixtures in room flicker and one has knob that does not work. No tissues in room. 2 tiny hand soaps and 2 tiny shampoo packets. No ice available. Animals and large birds throughout the grounds are kept fenced. Mattresses are soft and squishy.

I don't recommend it...it lacks maintenance...they wanted to charge for leaving the suitcases a few hours after check out... You have to ask for towels or shampoo at reception because they didn't leave it in the room... I think there are better ones options to stay. I agree with the opinions I read. Too bad I didn't see them before booking.

The truth is that they can't be fooled by the photos. Don't fall into the trap of photos of the pool or the orchid garden (which is not open to the public). The old and neglected facilities, the white hospital lighting is depressing. Breakfast is a buffet but the worst I've ever tried, hard bread, terrible coffee... Anyway. For that price you can choose many better options in more beautiful places, the price is disproportionate. The truth is that a scam.

Don't be fooled by the photo of the pool, the hotel has poor maintenance of facilities, the room has a very musty smell, the gardens that have birds end up being cages where there is no vegetation, poor quality breakfast, good service of the staff during the day, at night whoever was serving was not so friendly. The orchid garden is not allowed to be seen, although it is shown in photos as an attraction, I do not recommend this place at all.
