Update: On March 7, 2024, Cheapoair sent us an email stating we would receive a $12.32 refund. Absolutely nowhere in the email did it state that they inspected the property for the safety considerations we pointed out to them. Cheapoair has no consideration for the safety of their clients. Beware if you are considering them! Cheapoair sold us a package that included RT flights from Buenos Aires to Iguazu Falls with the hotel included. The flights were fine. The hotel, La Cautiva Iguazú Hotel, was listed as a 3 star hotel. It was NOT! In our opinion, this is an unsafe place to stay in that the property is badly in need of fixing hazards. We contacted Cheapoair with our concerns, advising them that this place should not be listed until fixes are made. That was almost a month ago and we continue to get once or twice weekly emails asking us to give them more time. We don't want travelers to have the same horrible experience and Cheapoair is delaying action. Our observations included: broken light fixtures, numerous electrical wiring issues, peeling paint, dirt and mold throughout, cracked uneven pavement, musty smelling rooms, broken chairs in pool area, green mold floating and on walls and floor of pool, difficult to lock room. Additionally, the hotel is listed as speaking English. Only one desk clerk spoke English and she was not there most of the time. Date of experience: February 01, 2024
