INCANT: It is not only the title of a song, but it is the adjective that best describes 'The Red Petriccio', of Ilaria.!! It is wonderful the structure, as well as the place where it is located, immersed in the green between hills and uncontaminated grassland. We stayed From 6 to 8 May 2023, with two children (12 and 5 years old). The apartment (”Mirto”) is amazing. The girls have loved the outdoor garden. The room is equipped with every comfort and is very furnishing.. Clean and light. All around us was the green of hills and clean and clean grassland. On the road that leads to the squads there was a beautiful horse exemplar (”Bufera”) that seems to wait for our passage and receives systematically our shorts. Mrs. Ilaria is very kind, always available, very prepared and ready to answer all our questions, before, during and after our stay. He gave us very useful advice on what to eat around (e.g. excellent pizza from ”Osee” to Manciano), and what to visit in the evening (e.g. Pitigliano is a beautiful bourg). Ilaria's love for animals and for the work she does is clear from the way you care for animals: horses, pony, beautiful spices of nani rabbits... All to admire and to be awarded.. A greeting also to the very kind and sympathetic Arianna and Roberta who have responded promptly to our needs and brought our breakfast ”in home” every morning. Maybe next month with the use of the pool. In the heart of the night we left the accommodation, with my daughter who was going around to ”heal” the house and the garden because she didn't want to go away .... Negative Notes?? Wait ... Mmm.. No, nothing, I can't find one ... ALL WELL WELL!!!!!! Thanks to Ilaria and Petriccio Rosso Da Mario, Amalia, Amira and Aryel Mercurio

We had our vacation in this camping during July 2023 (2 adults + 2 kids, 3 and 5 years old). We selected Villino Superior Giannutri (bungalow brick), room only option and opted for full board option in restaurant “Le Piscine del Ricca”. Pros: - village is well organized with a lot of space and closed to the sea. Our room was less than 200 meters from the beach - a lot of shaded areas, during afternoon it’s nice to walk through trees. - big parking with assigned place Cons: - quality of the sea. The beach is located closed to a river mouth and, depending by the day, the sea was not nice. - The roomwas old and small. No wardrobe. - restaurant “Le piscine del Ricca” ( which was not formally part of the village, but proposed by them as restaurant). During our stay, we prepaid the full board ( breakfast+lunch+dinner) option. After paid 1 week full board, we had the minimum service level, with waiting times of 1.5-2 hours during the dinners. Food was “basic” with few options. I ordered pasta with fish and what I had was something similar to Pasta in bianco. Breakfast was also poor in the selection. No buffet and just ordering to the bar of the restaurant coffee/capuccino with brioches. Very high cost, compared to the quality service level offered and quantities of the food. We had a nice vacation anyhow, but the quality of the sea and restaurant were not in line with expectations.
Il Pelagone Hotel & Golf Resort Toscana
3.8/52 Reviews
We visited Il Pelegone last week and found it generally tired and not ready for a large number of guests. The large pool is closed as it's being completely rebuilt, the pool bar was open on the last day we were there but surrounded by hoarding so not very inviting. The rooms are generally tired and need a revamp. The kitchen area has tea and coffee making facilities but not tea or coffee and despite there being a kitchenette. For a 4 star property, I'd expect there to be tea and coffee in the room. There was no sink bar the one in the bathroom next door and despite there being no in kitchen washing up facilities, our items were never cleaned during the daily clean by the team onsite. The food at the restaurant was nice but on most of our orders, something was missed off the order, from drinks to food, to both. Staff generally seemed very hurried in the restaurant despite most of the time it being quite quiet on the customer front. The beach was lovely but the advertised shuttle bus wasn't running and it is 50euros one way by cab. They also offer beach towels but only if you ask at reception specifically for them and you need to sign them out - it's one beach towel pp per stay. I didn't travel to play golf so can't comment on that.
Saturnia Tuscany Hotel

If you search TripAdvisor for Saturnia, you will see several different ”properties”. And that's because there are. I would have thought that there were these hot springs with a resort built around it, but that is sort of the case and sort of not. In reality, the Saturnia hot springs have THREE different ”properties” all somewhat connected and all somewhat (confusingly) distinct. Here is my guide to them: PROPERTIES - 1. Saturnia Tuscany Hotel Resort 2. Saturnia Parco Thermal 3. Saturnal Thermal Springs PRICING - 1. Saturnia Tuscany Hotel Resort - pricey 2. Saturnia Parco Thermal - middle market 3. Saturnal Thermal Springs - FREE POOLS 1. Saturnia Tuscany Hotel Resort - Big swimming pool fed by original spring, with a natural (small rocks) bottom. Protected seating area around it. 2. Saturnia Parco Thermal - Multiple pools including an indoor one and one for children as well as a saune. All outdoors with no real protected seating. 3. Saturnal Thermal Springs - The Insta-iconic original. A public beach like place. Shallow, rocky and crowded. The Resort and the Parco are physically connected to each other and share a spa (with very weak massage treatments...no pressure, just slathering oil on you), but they are different commercial entities. So if you want a day in the ”thermal” (well, tepid) pools with ”magic algae”, then you have two choose between a package by one of these two different (but connected properties). Neither of these places are that near to the original and famous springs themselves (those are about a half mile drive down the road). In short, we don't regret visiting Saturnia. It was a good excuse and base from which to visit a bunch of lovely surrounding Tuscany sites (Pitigliano, Sovana, Montemerano), and we enjoyed playing a round of golf amidst the Tuscany countryside scenery (and the course is dog-friendly, so they get bonus points for that). But if you want to make a trip for some hot springs in Europe, Iceland and the Azores are miles better.

Agriturismo il Laghetto
4.6/525 Reviews
Super warm, we are traveling by car so it is more convenient to travel. The location is between the vineyard and the olive grove. The owner can communicate in simple English. We just finished washing the grapes when we went. When I went there was off-season so there was no dinner, so we drove to the nearby supermarket and bought fresh beef to cook for ourselves, but we could order breakfast. The rooms can cook for themselves and the facilities are relatively new. The night is cold and there is no entertainment. You can see the stars and the Milky Way. There is a swimming pool but we did not go. The car stops at will.
