Gitavillage Argentario

All good, the only flaw is the pool restaurant where the food is not great and expensive, and the service is poor

Booked by chance on the internet, just for one night in the Argentario area. A more than lucky discovery. We were only sorry that the stop was short and therefore that we were not able to fully enjoy the many offers of this village. Large areas dedicated to camping, barbecues, children's games, sports and 4-legged friends. Three swimming pools, a supermarket, a bar and a restaurant. We stayed in a small cottage but with all the comforts. Beach reserved for village guests, small but comfortable. And finally, very kind and super helpful reception staff. Definitely worth trying again in the summer.

I went with my 17 year old daughter to the gitavillage Argentario, in a tent ⛺️, in the part dedicated to the campsite. I was hoping first of all to find a nice clean sea, but unfortunately the beach in front of the campsite is definitely not well looked after, the sea is cloudy and cannot be see where your feet are going. The slimy seabed does not invite swimming. It may be because of the river that flows nearby. I'm really sorry because we traveled 600 km to find a really bad sea, which is very important to me. The campsite is shaded and quiet. The pitches are not easily accessible by car, which is a bit inconvenient for those who have to pitch a tent. The toilets were old, only half flushed. The dense pine forest is refreshing. A big inconvenience are the turtle doves that make kg and kg of needs from above and hit everything, even while you are at the table. Luckily my daughter made some friends and still had fun. We absolutely will not return and I don't understand how some people rent villas by paying a fee that allows them to go to the tropics.

We have been frequenting this campsite for several years and I must admit that unfortunately this year I encountered some inconveniences. Upon our arrival the house was clean and the beds already made up, but unfortunately equipped with very few kitchen utensils and in my opinion this should be reviewed, also given the cost of the house which, despite being September, was certainly not given as a gift! Just as the sunbeds provided at the pool should also be reviewed, many without parasols and even broken. Furthermore, the point where they are collected does not appear to be very safe, in fact very often they all fall together and there is a risk of catching them... furthermore the only two showers were found to be malfunctioning, and in such a large swimming pool they should be. Furthermore, for a few days I noticed that the children's pool was the least controlled one regarding the use of swimming caps... and in fact it was often dirty. Furthermore, this year, unlike previous years, the animation was terrible, not very engaging and not even funny, perhaps due to the fact that it was September and many animators had already left.... Unfortunately, the "queued" ones in September I think they still have to find the same services as those who take their holiday in July or August... and instead, unlike other years, this was not the case... We are forced to take our holidays in September for work reasons and certainly not to save money, otherwise I wouldn't have come here, but we fell in love with the fantastic places that the Argentario reserves and therefore we like staying in this area. I also found it distasteful that starting this year at midnight there would be staff closing the gates and sending everyone to sleep! with all the space there is in the campsite, some places could also be left open for those who want to continue the evening beyond midnight. Furthermore, from this year the access gates to the beach were closed at 8.30pm in the evening (just after sunset... which is a unique sight to see), so we often found ourselves on the beach with the anxiety of being locked out of the camping because the only access was quite far away....and also for those like me who like to go walking or running early in the morning (around 6), the gates were only open from 8.30.... As for the services beach....well, let's talk about it! Lifeguards too young, inexperienced and rude, more busy looking at their cell phones all day under the umbrella than watching over the swimmers! We had to change umbrella places 3 times in 15 days because the seat assignment tickets disappeared from the envelope tied to the umbrella. We were told it was due to the wind, but I don't understand how mine disappeared while those around didn't... and at the very least I would have expected an extra effort from the staff, which obviously didn't happen. One day at low tide my husband and I were booed by the lifeguard Tommaso for sitting on the rocks facing the beach. Asking for clarification, I was told that

Super positive experience. Arrived after mid-August and welcomed with professionalism and courtesy. Comfortable and spacious two-room bungalow for 2 adults and a 4-year-old child. Cleanliness and maintenance could be improved... but being camping it suits us well. Campsite market with affordable prices, good restaurant near the market and very friendly staff. Reception always smiling. Structure full of activities and interesting proposals (swimming pool and top beach). Excellent animation, non-intrusive and uniquely friendly. First of all Daniela, Sasy, Samuele, Gloria, Giorgia and Chiara is the great coordinator Mario! We will definitely be back next year!

We stayed for a week in Coco sweet with 2 children. Clean and tidy. Everything on a human scale. Well organized structure, bathrooms always clean. Particular praise goes to the animators, always present and full of initiatives, but never intrusive. Prices adequate for the service received by Stefano, Giulia, Nicolò and Tommaso
