Nice interior, clean room, delicious breakfast, bright staff, everything was perfect. My 々 was a honeymoon, so the staff was careful and prepared a nice cake and champagne. We had a good time in a calm room. Thank you very much.

While the hotel and the staff were great - getting to the address was difficult. Rua da Allegria is a long steep hill with all traffic coming down - so no chance of an easy bus ride. There IS a Metro within walking distance but there is NO Tourist Office at the city bus station

We stayed at this hotel on a bed and breakfast basis for 7 nights. The hotel was modern and clean, staff were very helpful. The room was cleaned daily and products restocked. The location was perfect for us as situated close to motorway. We had a hire car for the week so the hotel car park was great for us. Burger King was next door so handy if wanted a quick coffee day or night. The hotel does have a bar. Breakfast was scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage, alongside a full continental selection. I recommend this hotel, we would certainly stay there again.

The hotel is beautiful and easily accessible from the airport by metro. It is in a convenient area and the center can be reached on foot in about twenty minutes or by bus in a few minutes. The room is not very large, but comfortable and well equipped and with an adequate bathroom. The breakfast is varied and of excellent quality for both savory and sweet foods. The only flaw was that one afternoon when we were passing through the hotel, someone in charge of cleaning the room (which had already taken place) entered without knocking. Upon our complaints, the concierge did not apologize.

My partner and I loved this hotel. A few reviews mentioned a less than desirable location, however we felt it was only an issue if you are unable to make steep hills. Porto is a very hilly city for info! It's on a slightly boring main road, but you can't hear the local noise from your room. Couple of convenience stores on the road. There are buses going close to the hotel if the walk is too much. It's about 10-15 mins walk from the 'centre' (São Bento, main shops, Food market) but just 5 minutes from beautiful squares with great atmosphere and families dining late. Facilities are good, full set of toiletries by Rituals, free mineral water daily, aircon, good breakfast, welcome drink (port!) and lovely garden to the restaurant. Very clean and chic decor throughout. Staff were bilingual and very professional and kind. I have no complaints! We didn't use it, but they have secure luggage storage. Uber from airport was €15 (approx 15-20 mins). Will 100% stay again next time we visit wonderful Porto. Buses to the river (Ribeiro) go from 10 mins away, buses to Foz beach go from São Bento. Glad we stayed away from very touristy area, it felt more like a 'retreat' and we met many lovely local people.

I came to Oporto to reunite with some university friends, one of them has never visited the city, this hotel has the perfect location to the city centre, you can walk everywhere from the hotel. The facilities and rooms are very spacious and comfortable, the decoration is very simple, yet very conforming. The whole staff in reception, breakfast and housekeeping are great, always very friendly and making sure to go the extra mile to provide the guest with the best experience, we got recommended many nice places to go around the town, which we really appreciated. I recommend this hotel if you are visiting the city with friends, family or your partner because it’s the only right choice in Oporto Town. Thank you! Will come back 100%

No apto para nómadas digitales - El peor hostal del mundo – Cafetería con camas. No reserve en este sitio si no quiere pasar un mal Rato. Las fotos engañan, este sitio solo tiene una decoración bonita, muestra espacios que son prácticamente exclusivos para un café-restaurante que funciona ahí, esta es una muy mala elección para aloj****, si piensas trabajar o hacer amigos en el hostal o simplemente pasar el día allí descansando. Como viajera frecuente, Estas son algunas de las razones para decir que es un pésimo hostal: • Las literas suenan con cada movimiento. • Las almohadas son incomodas. • No tienen cocina, ni siquiera un microondas o calentador de agua. • La comida en la cafetería es cara y pocas opciones. • Hay ruido exterior en las noches, por la calle y la cafetería del primer piso. • No hay zonas sociales para los huéspedes (Es un café restaurante, para todo público). • No se pueden utilizar ninguna mesa para trabajar (Todas tienen un letrero prohibiéndolo). • Te mandan a trabajar a un patio descubierto y si se llena el restaurante te van a retirar de allí. • En el patio exterior no es buena la señal de internet. • El patio es húmedo y está lleno de moscas. • Solo hay un baño en la habitación con ducha para 6 personas. • No hay baño exterior compartido con duchas. • Quien es aparentemente la dueña o administradora, hace mala cara, al verlo a uno trabajando en las instalaciones y tiene muy mala actitud mueve a los huéspedes que están trabajando de un lado a otro. • Los empleados contestan grosero y no están prestos a colaborar. • Fuera de la cama no tienen ninguna atención con el huésped. • No es seguro dejar las cosas en las mesas porque todo el tiempo esta entrando gente de la calle. La peor opción para hospedarte en Oporto.

My one night stay at the BessaHotel in Porto was very pleasant. The room was stylish, clean and modern, providing a comfortable environment. The experience at the pool was positive, especially as it had been raining all day, despite the disorganization caused by the constant occupation of the sun loungers by other guests who left without collecting their towels and occupying them uselessly. The central location, close to the Bulhão Metro, facilitated access to various points in the city. Quick service and without much bureaucracy. Would go back!! :)

Great location close to the Metro, although a bit noisy as there is construction outside and a barking next door. The rooms are tiny with minimal amenities. This is not a 4 star hotel as our package promised. Just a heads up, they charge you for extra coffee pods. Staff here is professional and very helpful-they wear many hats! They helped us book an amazing tour. Walking distance to shopping, an amazing indoor food court, and grocery stores. The breakfast room is very nice, and has good selections.

Great hotel. Has everything going for it. Breakfast good choice. Room good size . All amenities. House staff lovely and helpful. Restaurant excellent, worthwhile booking to ensure a seat. Spa and indoor pool very relaxing.
