Tamanu on the Beach

We stayed for 12 nights for a special family celebration. 7 adults and 1 child. We had an amazing stay. It is in quite a remote location but is right on the beach which was pretty special. It is windy all the time but I think that helps to keep the temperature down - we were not uncomfortably hot at any time. I recommend getting a pool villa - they are so good! Restaurant is excellent - quite a substantial menu and also a blackboard menu but nothing changed much on that in 12 days. Chefs are very flexible with leaving items out or adding items in to dishes. Fire show on the beach was very enjoyable. We all had at least one spa visit each and everyone was happy with their treatment. We did every day trip on offer and enjoyed them all. We ventured out quite a few times, for sightseeing and for a few meals. We went in a Tamanu van each time, with one of their drivers, highly recommend this. Cannot remember the price but it was worth it. The road in is pretty rough but I think it was due to be graded the week we left. Staff are all lovely and super friendly. We did lots of beach walking. There is a nice little bay not far up where we had a nice swim. There is also a good little pizza place a short walk along the beach, which is only open on Weekends but has a beach volleyball court and shaded areas to sit and look at the view - it is called Sol Wata Beach Club. Eva and Fiona helped us a lot with any queries we had. The gardens and grounds were immaculate. We would be very happy to stay here again. One thing all of us girls would have loved would be if they had a second wardrobe in the rooms (there is room) - the existing one does not hold maxi dresses and is not big enough for 2 peoples clothes.
Ramada Resort by Wyndham Port Vila

Probably one of the swishest gaffs on the island. Decent buffet breakfast...nicely appointed rooms...quiet and away from everything. Shame the lagoon is so polluted (not (exclusively) this hotel's fault to be fair) that no one can swim in it. Good Sports bar.
Iririki Island Resort & Spa

The hotel is on the island, the room size is acceptable, the health is good, the hotel service is very poor, such as cleaning the shampoo area in the room during the day, returning to the reception desk at night to reflect, promised to send, no one to send in the morning, buffet breakfast variety is small, The two people spent about 150 Australian dollars for the buffet dinner. There were few varieties, especially pit people, and they asked for an hour late check-out at the front desk. They needed to pay separately and were too inhumane. The island environment is acceptable, there is a swimming pool, the beach is particularly small and poor, the hotel price is outrageous, not worth recommending
