Playa del Ingles Hotels with Swimming Pools

I have stayed at the AxelBeach numerous times, but sadly the refurbishment of the rooms means this was my last time. The refurbished rooms are oppressive and dingy – all the walls have been covered in a dark, depressing wallpaper, which is only broken up by white, cold lights. The stone floors have been covered with black linoleum, which looks depressing and dirty. The refurbishment is being done as cheaply as possible, leaving the colourful kitchen tiles intact and the bathroom mostly untouched. For some bizarre reason AstroTurf has been placed on the balcony floors. They have taken what used to be cheap-ish beach hotel rooms and given them a morgue/sauna makeover. This is really frustrating as, otherwise, the place remains pleasant – the pool is still great, the staff are lovely (Kevin, the receptionist, deserves a particular shout-out) and the gym has been re-done really well. The location is super handy as well.

My family and I had an amazing time at this hotel. The food was great in the restaurant and in the snack bar we ate everyday and always came out stuffed. The hotel is massive with a few pools, one side of the hotel has a more chilled out pool (still with music) with a good sized pool and also a good kids pool and a splash park, the other side was more louder with the music with quite a big pool and that's where the entertainment or pool games were played. Having the choice of either side was great. Everyday the hotel smelled amazing it was so clean aswell, rooms were cleaned and fresh towels everyday. All the staff were so friendly and welcoming aswell. The hotel was honestly so busy as well and we never once struggled to get a sunbed and sometimes we missed breakfast cause of being up abit late 🤣. My 6 year old son had an amazing time was always eating and made loads of friends during the day at the pool and at night. He didn't want to go home (neither did I tbh) I couldn't fault this hotel one bit and I'm so glad we came here. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. There's also shops and tattooist/barber and hairdressers inside this hotel loads of arcades (2 separate parts) loads of tennis courts, football, volley ball. The hotel has everything u need plus its next to everything u need aswell if u wanted to go out. Thanks.

Great hotel in Playa d‘Ingles. Superior hotel with a stylish interior. Great and nice staff. Excellent breakfast buffet in the roof top restaurant with a stunning view. Free parking offered. A lot of restaurant and bars are located in the Yumbo Center, a few minutes by foot from the hotel. Pools are heated and there was always free sunbeds available. Rooms are big and cleaned. The hotel is well maintained.

It is impressive how seriously the hotel takes the 3pm check in policy. The room I was given was the one on the far right and I had to walk a lot in the hotel because it's a huge hotel. There are also two flights of stairs. Didn't the front desk see me with my huge suitcase? Glad he might think I'm young. The gentlemen at the front desk are still very enthusiastic. The room is also big enough. The location of the hotel is also good. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to Yingren Beach. The hotel does not have a parking lot and needs to be parked on the side of the road. The breakfast is very rich.

This time, I booked two five-star hotels on the island, both of which are owned by riu. Each has its own advantages and disadvantages. The desert is right next to it. The sunset is particularly beautiful, and the hotel staff are also very enthusiastic. The swimming pool is a saltwater swimming pool that feels like swimming in the sea, and the room is not bad. Mine is a pair of two single beds put together. You can also note that you need a single bed. There are a complete range of food and beverages, and you really get what you pay for. The hotel is not too big, but although the sparrow is small, it has all internal organs. The only thing is that when the wind blows near the desert, a lot of sand will be blown, but it doesn't matter if you go back to the room and take a shower. There are buses and taxis outside the hotel, the transportation is convenient, there are restaurants, bars and shops everywhere, and it is a very mature place for vacation and tourism.

This hotel has a bad reputation because it hasn’t been updated and decorated in a long time - but I really don’t think it’s deserving of some of the negative reviews. The hotel is deserving of its three stars and if they renovated the “basic” rooms it could easily climb the star ladder. The photos management have posted of the pool area aren’t up to date, for example there aren’t rocks next to the pool and the island only has one bridge not two. I’m unsure when these alterations changed. We booked a basic double room, self catering. The were plenty cutleries, but only 2 mugs and plates etc. It has a coffee maker for those that drink coffee, we would have appreciated a kettle but we were fine boiling water in a pot. The rooms are in need of modernising, and if you want the modern and fresh look you should book the superior rooms as they have been revamped. There’s a sofa, chair, TV on the wall, table and chairs and small kitchen which 2 hobs and coffee machine. Some rooms have a microwave. The bathrooms have a bath with shower overhead, the water pressure was fantastic at all times of day. The bedrooms have fitted mahogany wardrobes with a dressing table, and the bed. We did notice there’s a lack of plug sockets in the bedroom. This hotel is dated in style, by that I mean I bet it was trendy in the 90s - textured wallpaper, mahogany furniture - that vibe. Everything in our room worked. The balcony is bigger than we imaged - double the width of most balconies. The over see the pool area. There is a drying rack and table and chairs too. We visited three rooms whilst there because we were first given a twin bed, and then a second because we saw cockroaches. However, we didn’t change the second time because the night staff and cleaners dealt with the cockroaches for us instead. They assured us they have an exterminator every month but sometimes there is a few around. We saw 9 in total, 7 in the room and 2 by the pool - all at night. There were plenty of roaches around the island wherever you go though, however we haven’t been bitten by mosquitoes the entire stay here. The beds are comfy but we asked for extra pillows to have 2 each. The cleaners were prompt, and rang the door bell if you were in during cleaning hours. The towels were changed everyday too. The staff at the hotel were all helpful and lovely, especially Stefan. The staff speak English, German and Spanish. The pool area is a really good layout with a bar in the middle island. There is a restaurant on the hotel grounds which hosted singers almost every night. However, as we were self catering we ate breakfast in our room / around the pool and went out for other meals. There’s a coffee machine, vending machine and cigarette machine in the lobby too. The bars and dining areas look lovely and are very clean. There lobby and entrance is decorated with a medieval theme - and everything is kept clean and comfy. A bonus was there there are two cats, a black one who guards the

It was a pleasure to stay here again. Excellent service from arrival to departure. Staff are very professional, friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean with modern furniture and with all amenities you may need. They were very comfortable, and with the intense heat, the air-con provided a welcome relief. Free WiFi worked perfectly. The hotel restaurant had a great buffet breakfast and continental breakfast. Great times no reservations straight through till 11am. The waiters were amazing, some members having been there for a very long time. Dinner in the evening right through till 22.00pm - amazing. The pool and facilities were amazing, comfortable sun loungers with built in pillows and large blue beach towels. The hotel is located very close to the airport approximately 35 min. There is a free shuttle service from and to the airport, for stays of 10 days or more and I really appreciate that it is included. I would recommend this hotel for pleasure trips. Was made to feel like a member of the Neptuno family

Just returned again from Sandy Beach brilliant hotel, best Ive ever stayed in. All the staff are excellent and very helpful. Rooms are brilliant and beds so comfortable. Food is excellent. You couldn't ask for better food so much food. Im a fussy eater and there was so much choice. The young man at the restaurant saw I was on a walking stick and made sure I got a table near the buffet and made sure I was looked after. He was so nice and charming - please give him my sincere thanks. The only complaint I can make and its not about the hotel as its perfect - a lot of guests were at the buffet pushed and shoved even though they could see I was on a walking stick as they couldnt wait to get to the food and didnt care who they pushed out of the way think they were German. Many guests didnt dress according to the dress code for the eventing meal wearing shorts. I know this isnt the staffs fault its the guests they just didnt care. You cant fault the any of the staff at the hotel Dominic on reception was extremely helpful showing me the garden terrace room which I will try and book on my next trip. I apologise to the cleaner she was so nice and I forgot to leave her a tip which I felt guilty about but I was rushing to get out for a early pickup. Cant wait to go back its a brilliant hotel. If any one reads this please feel assured that you will get the best treatment at Sandy Beach its close to all amenities and everyone is brilliant. They even took my suitcase to the room on arrival. Thank you so much for another brilliant holiday.

A fantastic mix of modern and old. Some areas had been updated and modernised while some other areas were still dated. Room was clean and spacious, with a small balcony overlooking the pool. Bathroom was good with a shower that had 2 head options. some good complimentary bits in the bathroom, tea and coffee facilities in the room. The bar has half self service half barman, everyone was polite and friendly. The “snack bar” which is actually a room was by far the best I’ve seen. Actual restaurant meals were ok, but nothing special. Unfortunately desserts were a massive let down l, one evening there were 5 chocolate flavour puddings and the only alternative was strawberry mousse, so maybe a little variety would help. Breakfast was good and plentiful
