Hotel Parque Tropical

I must first say that the staff were extremely helpful, particularly on reception . The room was adequate however having a plastic shower curtain these days is a bit old-fashioned, also having to pay rental to use the safe in the room. I felt quite mercenary on their part. as the water in the room was labelled undrinkable I was surprised to find that to have water with a meal came at a charge. I did point out to the management that there is EU regulations stipulating that water must be provided free under the circumstances. However, my biggest problem is that I was the only English person at this hotel. The hotel is clearly designed for German speaking guests. Sadly some of them displayed the type of character one would not wish to be associated with for instance moving my towel and belongings from a particular sunbed around the pool because they wanted that favoured position.. there were other incidents which I will not go into, but we’re just as irritating and disappointing. The truth is this is a very nice hotel with adequate food and excellent surroundings. However it must be pointed out that it is in every respect a hotel catering for German speaking guests. because of this I had breakfast on my own. I sat by the poor side on my own , I at my evening meal on my own and likewise with the evening entertainment. I truly tried to engage people in conversation, but I was made to feel an outsider. I enquired with the management at the Hotel regarding its occupancy and they confirmed quite willingly but the Hotel caters in every respect for German speaking guests. Due to feeling so uncomfortable, I cut my holiday short and came home instead of having to endure the isolation. I must also repeat because it’s only fair to do so that the staff were excellent and you do in the end get quite used to being addressed in German!!🇩🇪

Really great experience thus far. Food is amazing and diverse, everything is perfect clean and the in house hotel activities held by staff, mine were under animator named Eloy, are really fun. He was trying to make them engaging and enjoyable.

Great staff, very good entertainment, food is good. Had a really nice experience here as a couple. The pool area is very relaxing. We hired a car also but there is a bus stop nearby if you want to travel around. Mostly German clientele, all the people here including the staff were very nice.

Still a quiet oasis- our first stay here for a few years but it is still the best hotel in the area. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms spacious. The pool is lovely as is the pool bar. A very tranquil setting Highly recommended and we will be coming back again.

We arrived to stay over Christmas and were delighted to find the hotel including its gardens so beautifully decorated. It was our third stay at this hotel and were not disappointment. Staff are exceptionally friendly at this hotel, from those on reception, to the lovely welcome you always got at the restaurant (they always remembered something personal about you), very prompt service in the restaurant despite the fact that it was really busy and great service at the pool bar. Our room was spacious and was very clean. It had a small fridge and room safe. No kettle/coffee maker but we did not expect one. Our balcony did not get full sun at any time of day, could be an advantage in mid summer but not at Christmas time. All entertainment which was better than average was provided outside at the pool bar (heaters/blankets available). Entertainment over Christmas eve and Christmas day was very good, the gospel Choir on Christmas day was amazing! Plenty of tables available even though hotel was full. Back door of hotel lets you out onto a long walk beside the sea, you can walk/run as far as you wish. Nice beach for swimming within a few hundred meters of the hotel. Quite a lot of steps for those running/walking some might like the exercise for others could be a problem. We stayed half board as did most guests. Lunch was good value at the pool bar and usually had some form of entertainment during lunch. Those staying at the hotel were mostly from Germany and many were in the older age group. Food was buffet style but was of very good quality and frequently refreshed. Great variety of food. Really enjoyed their Christmas day dinner. For a 4 star hotel we had a really great stay.

A wonderful hotel with a beautiful tropical garden. We really appreciated having the cats around, all so well taken care of❤️ The food is really good and they have varied dishes. All the staff are really nice and they create a pleasant atmosphere. Our third time here and we are definitely coming back again.
