The front desk clerk asked a question and answered a sentence. As soon as I entered the house, there was a smell. I talked in the corridor at night and talked about more than 11 o'clock. The bathroom was old, the floor drain was offensive, the window was decorated, there was dust, and the bad experience would not come again. The bedding is ok.

Fantastic ancient Chinese lodging with modern amenities. You get the chance to sleep on a Luohan bed. The room is a suite! Within Pingyao walled city, it was easy to go to visit the sites. The lady owner gave me a map. Even though I speak no Chinese and they speak no English, we were able to communicate using a translator app. She recommended a restaurant when I asked. They made the utmost effort to make your stay enjoyable. The owner took me to the railway station when I left. P.S. Best to download MAPS.ME as it will work offline. Google Maps does not work in China. The taxi will drop you outside the city wall and you can ride the shuttle to the hotel. Make sure you got the Chinese address. Also same possible, install the Wechat app as it is used widely in China - you text in English they translate to Chinese and vice versa.

The inn was renovated from the 300-year-old former residence of Hou Wangbin. The current owner has a strong awareness of protecting historical buildings. The entire inn has been restored to its original state, preserving its appearance 300 years ago as much as possible. All staff members are very polite and have a strong sense of pride and belief in Pingyao and historical buildings. We were fortunate to stay here for one night and to have an intersection with the buildings that were 100 years old. I hope that the inns in Pingyao can learn more from the practices here, and on the basis of protecting historical ancient buildings, more people can witness the value of Pingyao.

One of the best stay experience in China. The location is at the center of the old City. Close to many tourist attractions and the busy south street. The hotel rooms are just IN the traditional Shanxi luxury mansion. Very unique experience. But what makes the stay one of the best is the butler service. From the pre-arrival arrangement, post-arrival introduction of the old house, to the patient and warm service to our inquiries and requests, Juan’Er makes the stay really enjoyable.

The Inn is located inside Pingyao Ancient City. Very easy to find and perfect location to explore the city. The owners are more than friendly and welcoming! They also speak English and could explain the City layout, tourist spots and restaurants to me. The room is very nice (just like the pictures) and clean. We arrived late at night on the 4th and asked if we could upgrade to a room. Ms. Li, who was on duty at the front desk, enthusiastically and considerately helped us upgrade our room. We felt the atmosphere of the hotel as soon as we checked in! I would like to commend and thank Ms. Li who was on duty at night on the 4th! The room is spacious and decorated in a Republican style. The mattresses and bedding are comfortable, foreign five-star standards. There are free bath bags. All the service colleagues are kind and friendly. Although it is a county town, it is a thousand-year-old city. As expected, the people are elegant and educated! Respectable. Breakfast includes freshly ground coffee, local specialty Pingyao beef, etc. Although there are few varieties, they are all classic and delicious. The ancient city accompanying tour recommended by the front desk is the same price as Dianping, but has more convenience and advantages. It is only 270 yuan and lasted more than 4 hours with us. We were introduced step by step and almost all the journey was carried by car! The tour guide told us that this is the best hotel outside the city, and it deserves its name!
