Pingyao Hotel

The service was excellent, and the staff were incredibly thoughtful. Since there were no family rooms available, I originally booked a king-size room. I was offered the option to add an extra bed, but luckily, on the day of arrival, a twin room became available, and the staff helped me switch rooms, saving me the extra bed fee. However, honestly, the twin room's size and facilities weren't as good as the king-size room my parents stayed in. Their king room was very spacious with bright lighting, whereas our twin room was small and dim even with all the lights on, which made it inconvenient for my child to do homework. The gloomy room put me in a bad mood, but since we checked in so late, I didn't want to bother changing rooms again and just decided to make do for the night. The breakfast was really not good; I hope they can improve and strengthen it. None of us really ate much. I'm not sure if the hotel I booked counts as a five-star in Pingyao, but Ctrip recommended Pingyao Hotel besides Xinghuacun. I chose Pingyao Hotel because reviews mentioned Xinghuacun being inconvenient for access. However, staying at Pingyao Hotel, I didn't feel it met a five-star standard; it felt more like a four-star. Overall, I was satisfied, mainly because the service was very responsive, and the staff were patient and enthusiastic. They even gave us a souvenir when we checked out. I would choose this place again if I visit Pingyao in the future.

Everything was pretty good, they offered fruit and snacks, and breakfast was decent with some local specialties. My only complaint is the service and recommendations in Pingyao itself, which were a bit much. It's very close to the 'Another Glance at Pingyao' show venue, and there are plenty of food options nearby. Breakfast was quite varied as well.

The hotel has a charming retro Republic of China aesthetic, perfect for taking photos. Parking is convenient, and it's just a 10-minute walk to the ancient town. The service attitude is excellent. My only suggestion would be to upgrade the bath and shower amenities. Breakfast was decent.

I loved the hotel's vintage ambiance. The service was attentive and warm, and the rooms were comfortable, clean, and hygienic. They thoughtfully provided local Pingyao snacks, and breakfast was also great. My family really enjoyed it. When we come to Pingyao, we usually choose to stay here, and the experience is always excellent!

It's a rather old hotel. I stayed at a guesthouse in Pingyao Ancient City and ended up at the Pingyao Hotel, but it was a disappointment. They hadn't even removed the toilet seat cover, so you can imagine how poor the hygiene was. The facilities were also quite old. I made do for one night.

The room was a bit old, but still decent. The restaurant was unsanitary; there was hair in the breakfast. The restaurant staff were also slow to clean the tables.
