The location of the inn is very good. It is in the ancient city. It is very close to the main street and scenic spots. It is convenient for eating and playing. I really like the small yard in front of the room, where I can drink tea and chat with my colleagues. The front desk and waiters are friendly, the cleaning is timely, and the facilities are complete. They also gave small gifts to each room when leaving, which is considerate and recommended.

The first time I came to Shanxi, the first contact was the hotel staff, too kind, the service was super good. We have not set off yet, the hotel has already begun to arrange our time, tell us which parking lot to park, and the battery car pick-up brother sent us to the hotel. The hotel is in the center of the scenic spot, and it is very convenient to go to any scenic spot. We arrived late and have not eaten yet. The hotel recommended several better restaurants in the scenic spot. We chose Hongwuji. There are coupons at the hotel, which is 30 yuan cheaper. The next day is breakfast included. We took the children to eat very full. It is worth coming. This trip is very fortunate to choose such a good hotel. Next time, it is definitely the first choice 👍👍.

Because it was my first time here. There were many things I didn't understand! There are two jujube trees in the yard! They are so beautiful! The most important thing is... I said I wanted to eat jujubes, and the boss shook down a bunch of them for me😄, and even brought me a basin! They are so sweet! No exaggeration in writing. Lovely hotel right in the heart of the walled city. Be aware entrance is trough a hairdresser. Spacious and modern rooms, very clean and traditional.
Before you visit be advised, taxis cannot enter walled town therefore cannot reach the hotel. Ask taxi driver to drop you off at the East gate of the walls and from there take the golf cart like vehicles (only taxi service allowed within the walled area) to reach the hotel. If you speak mandarin you may be able to get the service for free from the hotel, couldn't get it before check in but they kindly drove me to the East Gate for free when I left. Closest gate to the hotel is the South but has no vehicular access, if carrying luggage, always use East Gate.

The hotel is registered as one of the historical buildings in Pingyao ancient city. The hotel is beautiful, decorated with wooden ancient-style windows and doors with small courtyard in front of our room. Inside the room is modern style, spacious and high ceiling while the outside yields an ancient atmosphere. We also like the hotel location. It is in a quiet area but easy to commute to many attraction spots with not a too long distance walking. We have no complaint on overall facilities. The owner and his wife are also friendly and helpful.

The hotel is really nice and in the authentic style of Pingyao. It is quite closed from the east gate and from the ancient city center.
The owner is really friendly, speaks good English and is doing everything to make you enjoy your stay. He did explained very well all the activity and provide help if needed.
The room is clean and we didn't care about the size as we were out all day. If I have to suggest one thing, it will be to have bigger mattresses as they are quite hard but it's a personal preference.

The hotel is located in the northeast corner of Pingyao Ancient City, about 10 minutes' walk from the commercial street, and is located in a place where there are many indigenous people in the ancient city. It is very quiet in the morning and evening, and the owner is also very enthusiastic to plan our travel route. The ancient courtyard is paved with ancient bricks, and the overall mortise and tenon structure highlights the characteristics of Pingyao Shanxi merchants' wealth and exquisiteness! The lights are bright at night, and it is very beautiful! The boss is a real Pingyao person. He will contact the guests as soon as possible, drive to the outside of the ancient city to pick up the guests in the store for free, and is the only boss who will introduce the knowledge of various attractions in Pingyao Ancient City in detail! Staying in his house will give you a detailed guide to visit the ancient city! From the five A-level attractions to the top three time-honored restaurants with the best price-performance ratio, they are introduced one by one, and the boss will remind you to take the exclusive meal discount card when you go out, which is very considerate! The proprietress is young, beautiful, meticulous and capable! Before leaving, I also gave a souvenir of Shanxi Laochen vinegar! His family's ground jar cellar 53 degrees must be tried, it is mellow and not heady! Laochen vinegar is even better! And his house is very, very close to the main street, South Street (city building), but it is not as noisy as the main street at night. It is a rare five-star inn! I will stay at his house next time I go to Pingyao👍👍

AArt13Great place in Pingyao. It is reasonably priced, a bit out of the very center (meaning also out of tourists crowds that can be quite noisy in the evenings and mornings), but still close, has same old-style design as the more popular and well-established places that cater to foreigners, but priced twice as much. Pick-up and drop off service is provided - just contact the hotel in advance via phone using the reception of tour previous hotel - no one speaks English - it will solve your communication issue if you do not speak Chinese. At the place itself everyone is very eager to help - use your phone app to translate. Onwer helped me to buy tickets to Pingyao attractions and Terracota Army as I was heading to Xian next (available only through WeChat Pay that is in turn is not availablefor foreign tourists as of April 2023). If you go to Shuanglin temple, be sure to ask to buy tickets through WeChat for you as well. I was able to buy physical one by pure compassion of local guard who asked the staff to open ticket office just for me (Probably was the only foreigner in Pingyao at a time). Please also note that as of April 2023, the reconstruction works in the historical city parts are continuing, so, large chunks of the city within the walls are not looking as great as it could have been. The very center of the city is mostly untouched though and you can still come and explore. If going in spring, be prepared for the temperature swings. I got a temperature drop from 28C to 3C within 2 days by the moment I got to Pingyao. It was even snowing at night.

The hotel is housed in a thoughtfully renovated ancient college with a beautiful courtyard for chatting, eating, and chilling. The rooms are large, clean, and quiet. I really enjoyed the traditional mat style bed.
The hotel is a short walk away from the bustling Main Street. It was very convenient to walk to most attractions inside the walled City. The hotel owner also arranged free transport to take me to the high speed rail station.
The service was wonderful. No complaints!
If you’re staying here, I recommend checking out not just the ancient walled city but also the ancient temples in the area.
I would stay here again without hesitation.

GGuest UserThe room is very clean and the sanitary conditions are very good. There are three of us living in a large kang room. The bed is very big and can be fully slept in. The interior of the inn has the atmosphere of Pingyao Ancient Town. Although the courtyard is small, it is exquisite. There are two courtyards. We lived in the second courtyard, which is relatively quiet. There is a small pavilion and swing at the door. You can drink tea and chat with your family and friends there in the summer evening, and bask in the moonlight. Hehehe, this is a nice place. experience.
This is my first time staying in a B&B like this. I have nothing to compare with, but this accommodation experience has given me confidence in B&B accommodation and I will continue to try it in the future.
The boss is very enthusiastic and will give each guest a small bottle of vinegar when he checks out. He tasted it when he came back and it tastes good. We left a thermos bottle at the hotel when we checked out. The boss called me to confirm and wanted to deliver it directly to my door. This was very impressive.

It's 15mins away from the high speed railway. They pick up and drop out off outside the city.
With the covid regulations in place, the hotel supported me through the process and helped me gain entry into the city. I was then collected and driven to the hotel.
Check-in was smooth and the lady helped me to book tickets for the Pingyao theatre show at the same time.
I received a free upgrade from a double room to a suite.
All in all, a fantastic holiday, and a great experience.

GGuest UserThe room is located in the south of Yamen Street, Buddhist Association Lane. It is very quiet at night! It is a two-story courtyard. Just look at the boxes in the room to see the age. It should be a historical building from the Qing Dynasty or earlier. There is a jujube tree in the courtyard. Occasionally, ripe red dates fall down, which are very sweet. The boss and the boss's wife are very enthusiastic! We took the wrong bus when we went there. We got off the bus from the north gate of the ancient city and walked a long way. The boss repeatedly asked why he didn't call? He went to pick us up. When we left, the boss drove us to the train station in person. During our stay, the boss's wife personally sent us a large bowl of millet porridge that she cooked herself, which warmed our stomachs and hearts.

GGuest UserWe really loved it! It is located right in the heart of the ancient city, but in a cozy backyard so it is quiet and easy to sleep. The bed was very comfortable and big.
The shower was great with good pressure and hot temperature.
Our stay included Breakfast which was very tasty and filling. The hosts were very forthcoming and friendly.
We would definetly stay here again.

GGuest UserI went there on the second day of the ***** New Year. Hotels and B&Bs in the scenic area were too expensive. I booked the boss’ B&B online. It was pretty good, but the location was a bit out of the way. I booked a double bed room with my brother, and the boss gave me an extra bed. Quilt
