"As soon as I made the booking I was in touch with the hotel through email - and they were very helpful about their services. They even arranged a welcoming fruit platter and fresh juice, as well as a bathrobe.👘
Once I arrived I was told that the image of the room I booked was wrong on the Trip app and that I would not be getting a panoramic view (also no 🛁!?). I contacted trip and they offered to compensate me with coins, but I didn’t spend the holiday as anticipated. I did get my sunset view and this made it all worth while.🌅
The housekeeping was not very thorough often leaving the room and balcony very dusty. The shower was the worst experience as the shower head was cheap old and the wall holder was broken, and the sewer seemed to be semi-clogged. There was no shelf to place the shower gel and shampoo, and they kept on falling into the soapy water. 🙄
Also there was confusion about the blue beach towels - nobody told me that they are supposed to be returned to the room and replaced the following day by house keeping… they almost accused me of stealing one that I left on the beach… 🥵
The beach and pool are slightly small for full capacity (Christmas/New Year) but the palm trees and sun-beds, shower and beach bar were decent and balanced it out.🌴
The gym was well equipped, but not very clean, and the AC was not very strong. 🏋🏼♀️
The location is great, close to KingKong Mart for shopping, and many coffee shops, restaurants, and bars. However, the loud EDM music from the neighboring OCSEN bar was a bit too much. Earplugs helped. 🎤🎹
Breakfast was surprisingly the best feature of my stay, with enough options for vegetarians, and overall stag was kind and helpful. Lunch at the pool
bar was either a 🥗or 🍕
I don’t think I would return as I prefer higher quality service and this resort is just run down and not maintained enough for my standards, but I’m sure many other guests were very satisfied. 🛠️💸"
"First of all, the hotel is located by the coast, a bit remote. Although it is convenient to take a taxi, it takes 20-30 minutes to go to the central town (near the night market), and there is nothing to visit in the night market, so tourists who choose here usually plan to stay in the hotel to rest and do activities instead of going out frequently.
The overall decoration of the hotel is primitive and wild, which I love. There will be some dust on the way to the reef house, so everyone can wear slippers all the way, no need to wear nice shoes. The reception is next to the on the Rock restaurant. There are welcome drinks at checkin, which is also very nice to rest while looking at the coastline. We arrived at one o'clock on the day of arrival, but we didn't expect that the room was ready, so we checked in early, which is a plus for service!
If you are traveling with more than two people or less than four people, or a family, I strongly recommend staying in the reef house because the space is super large, both rooms have private bathrooms, and the lounge area can hold large parties. It's super worthwhile. Living in this kind of holiday home that maintains the original ecology, you must be mentally prepared to coexist with various insects. Although there is no air conditioning in the room, it is quite cool to install a mini air cooler above the mosquito net.
The hotel provides free shuttle to and from the town, live music and outdoor movies in the evening, and free yoga classes in the morning. Overall, the activities are enough for 1-2 days."

"The location is excellent and very convenient. It is suitable for those who like to visit the night market. You don't have to worry about the noise because it is right in the night market. It won't be noisy at night, and the smell in the elevator is bad."
"very hospitable and wonderful hotel. I liked everything, from the size of the room which after Ho Chi Minh is really big, to the beach, which is a wild beach and the island’s people go there to swim, but the fact of the matter is that the beaches adjacent to the hotels are full of employees who watch your every step and here there are few people only, a good local bar and excellent Saigon coffee , the water in the sea has always been warm. from hotel till beach is 7-10 min by slow step.
The hotel pool was clean and after sunset everyone always went out to swim and dive.
The room was cleaned every day, clean towels, new bottles of water.
We wanted to make a fish barbecue but we had no experience for making fare & a hotel employee helped us. he went and bought fuel and helped light the coals. Without him it definitely wouldn’t have happened.....we are very glad that we chose Aurora House to stay."
"Lovely Stay, But Some Improvements Needed
We stayed at a villa with our family and had a generally good experience. The villa itself was very spacious, which was perfect for accommodating our group comfortably. However, it’s worth noting that the property felt a bit old and could benefit from some updates to make it feel more modern and fresh.
In terms of value for money, it was okay—. The pricing was fair for the space we got.
The hotel staff were very nice and tried their best to be helpful, which we truly appreciated. However, a challenge we encountered was the language barrier. Many of the staff couldn’t speak even basic English, which made communication difficult at times. Despite this, they were always friendly and eager to assist however they could.
Overall, it was a pleasant stay, but there’s definitely room for improvement in both the villa’s condition and the staff’s language skills."
"Excellent hotel — perfect for families.
The hotel is beautiful and modern, with a great pool, excellent breakfast, and good service overall. One nice surprise was the pickleball courts, which weren’t mentioned in the description — a fun bonus!
There were many families with children during my stay, so it definitely feels more like a family-friendly hotel than a couples’ getaway. Still, the overall experience was fantastic."
"Best hotel stayed in Phu Quoc! Room was super spacious with great view! There are a few restaurants around the resort - Sea Shack, Lava (Steak), Main Breakfast Room etc. The main dining area was very busy upon my visit for breakfast at 0800hrs and was directed to Sea Shack, love the view and chill vibe in this restaurant instead so it wasn’t an issue for me. Service was excellence, the team had your contact number for constant communication, and instant reply if you needed any help at all. The resort is not accessible to any shops nearby and all dining will be within the resort only. Love the exclusive private beach area!"

cons
There was a wedding ceremony on the Tuesday night at the hotel beach, I had to hear super loud music till 9:30pm.
Their famous mango bingsu turned out it is not a must try. Shaved milk ice was too sweet and sticky (I guess it is made out of condensed milk which I don’t like personally) fresh mango in the market is the best in Phu quoc. You can buy more than 5kg mangos for 1 bingu price.
breakfast quality is slightly better than local hotel but it doesn’t meet international hotel standard. bread section was okay but they need to work on the menu for vegetarian, especially at the main meal like rice noodle.
This time I stayed 3 different hotels, generally I prefer more eco friendly resort like ocean bay. If I stay at the global franchise brand hotel, the Regent will be my choice."
"We stayed for 4 days and 3 nights during Christmas, and our experience at this family-friendly resort was disappointing. There were not enough beach chairs by the beach and pool—only about 40 available. In such a large resort, it's surprising to encounter this issue. Many guests occupied the chairs early in the morning and then left, indicating poor communication and management.
Additionally, there was a chronic shortage of towels by the pool, and the staff by the beach and pool failed to coordinate effectively. We were told to sit on the ground while chairs that had been reserved for over five hours remained unoccupied, which was very disappointing.
There were only 1 or 2 staff members responsible for the beach and lifeguarding, and the kayak rental service was disorganized due to insufficient staffing and lack of proper arrangements.
Overall, this 5-star family resort did not meet our expectations, and we will not choose to stay here again."

Outstanding
GGuest UserGreat, great, great, great! I decided to come to Vietnam at the last minute, and Ctrip happened to have a hotel package, so I chose this one blindly. The hotel contacted me to arrange a pick-up at the airport. I arrived at the end of the alley at night. I couldn't see clearly at night, but it felt very quiet.
It was great in the morning! French architecture, small and elegant, not many rooms, but the public areas are very attentive! There are lush greenery all the way to the beach. The sea in Phu Quoc Island is clean and comfortable, with few people and quiet. The hotel's restaurant is so beautiful, with French architecture and French interiors, and the breakfast is exquisite and delicious. It can't be praised enough. I forgot to take pictures of the room. The main color is yellow, the decoration is purple, the French balcony, the bed curtains around the bed, and the wooden shutters. I really like it so much😘!
Super recommended! Phu Quoc Island is also a relaxing, comfortable and cost-effective travel destination!

EEvgeniya_MalFirst the food in room service is very bad quality and overpriced. I've got sick and we had to use it but i preferred stay hungry then. Not enoug sunbeds at the beach: you should go to the beach not later then 8 am to get a couch. Only one person speaks good english at reception and is really helpful and nice guy named Felix. Other staff gives you wrong information and their english is hardly understandable. During the morning time they shower the grass and it smells with a toilet septic.
The breakfast is ok and location is perfect. The beach itself is probably the best at Phu Qu Ok
GGuest UserBuffet and dinner in hotel with reasonable price , we stayed for 5 nights in both seawview and city view room with good environment. Tried massage in hotel , the staff are nice but I like Thai massage more as the staff is not so professional. Shuttle bus for transportation to or return from hotel is good. However, only 2bottles of water supplied everyday, charged if u want more bottle of water which is not so good experience.
CConradLOur families with young children stayed for 5 nights at this resort. The road outside the resort was flooded (probably due to poor drainage) so our taxi refused to drop us at the entrance and we had to walk through the bushes carrying our heavy suitcases to get into the hotel ourselves- terrible experience. But I suppose it wasn’t the hotel’s fault except that the flooding problem seems to be persistent throughout our stay.
Other than the above incident, the stay at this hotel was pleasant and staff was helpful and polite. However there were quite some ants inside our room and we had to keep the place very clean to avoid getting more ants. The renovation was nice and comfy and amenities quite new. Massage was good. Recommended overall.
CCurious Ape1. Missing amenity: NOT all rooms have washing machine inside, even though it is clearly stated that this is included in the room amenities. The host/reception staff did NOT specify this information before OR after check in. Even if the machine is there, the host/reception staff does not provide any token amount of laundry detergent. So remember to “Bring your own detergent”
2. Vague communications: Questions emailed to the host via Trip.com are not always answered by the host (ie either no response at all or very late reply). Trip.com was helpful in advising me to email directly to the host (**************************) when the host failed to respond to some of my emails. However, it seems like the host does not check it’s own email box so I never get any response from that mailbox
3. Tedious check in process: There isn’t any clear information about the exact location of their office. Check in information is given ONLY via Chatting apps (eg Zalo, Kakao, Line or Whatsapp) at exactly the check in time, 2 pm (rooms are highly unlikely to be ready before that). I went directly to their physical office for assistance. Their office (with blue signage “Rosie”) is shabby and dubious-looking and totally incongruous with the given “Luxury Hillside Apartment” name). You MUST have mobile data roaming at that point to receive the room access code. The security guards based at each building’s beautiful reception floor have nothing to do with the rooms managed by this tiny “Rosie” office
4. Minimal staff: Cleaning staff hired by this Rosie agency seems unable to cope with the large number of room cleaning prior to guests’ check in. In the end, I think the limited manpower could only manage very basic, superficial cleaning of rooms. Ants seem to have built a colony in hidden crevices in some of the units as there’re always some crawling around the kitchenette/clothes-hanging cabinet every now and then
5. It’s a 50/50 chance of whether you are assigned a fairly new and really nice apartment or a worn-out one with some broken down/missing fixtures. You just have to risk it, in return for a stunning view of the fireworks (in rooms facing the Kiss Bridge)
6. The agency staff are okay and they do try to help. Unfortunately, I find them somewhat inexperienced and their services and expertise are a mismatch for this fine category of apartments. The Rosie agency staff have a tendency to give routine, generic answers when dealing with feedback and complaints. They probably can do well in operating guest houses or backpackers’ lodge where expectations from guests are much lower
AAgent WillThe room is clean and tidy, but i dont like the glass wall of the bathroom. If the TV has the built in Netflix, that would be fantastic
Facilities
Gym room is small, with limited equipment. But i guess it is fine, as not many people were there during my stay
swimming pool and beach
There are two and both are good. there are always some staff cleaning the pool, so i am not worried about the water quality. Beach is right next to the hotel and water activities are there for you to choose
breakfast is good, with lots of choices. we were asked to have breakfast in the function room as they said the restaurant was full. i could imagine the hotel was fully booked that weekend
Hotel provides airport pickup and the staff is friendly and helpful.
The price is higher than other local brands, and you can see the difference from the service quality.
One more thing, the night market is just opposite to the hotel and this one is clean and tidy.
Definitely i will stay in this hotel again

GGuest Userloved their property with all trees and flowers + cute pool and beach in front, wooden house and stone bath tub.
but the service was kinda slow. There was a long wait at the reception to get response from them when I had trouble and complain about it. communication did not go smoothly, many local staff don’t speak english, plus food does not tasty at all include breakfast and hotel restaurant for the dinner. not many option for vegetarian.
prepare repellent at night, if you wanna sit at the terrace or open area at the restaurant.
JJune Yoon YiI visited here for the second time. Although the transportation is uncomfortable, I wanted to relax in a spacious villa in a quiet area. In particular, the staff were friendly, and they seem to be carefully selected, educated, and treated. In particular, the desk staff was friendly, and it was easy to communicate in English. (Many of the five-star hotels in Phu Quoc have difficulty in communicating with desk staff in English) This is not a fancy and noisy place. Rather, it is a place of quiet peace that is practical and classy. Everything is going accordingly. There are not many types of dishes at breakfast, but the quality is good. Both of the spa and restaurant service are cost-effective. The beach and pool are small but practical, cozy, elagant, and well managed. The resort buildings and interiors are also small and old, but I could feel the soul of the architect.

GGuest UserThe resort has alot of potential with an exclusive beach, swimming pool and eloquent rooms (some with great views). Breakfasts are great. The manager was good and takes pride in the resort, however when he was not around in the afternoons and evenings service was rare and hard to find. You have to actively go look for restaurant staff to place an order or pay. The restaurant could be alot more profitable if staff actively removed plates and asked clients if they could get them anything e.g dessert, drinks. They charge a service fee, but with little service.
It advertises a gym, but equipment is in disrepair, they should not advertise facilities which are not functional.
There is not much around the resort in terms of restaurants, bars and shops. It is also not an easy location to get to, but yet we found the reception unhelpful in getting transport.
All in all the resort could be great, but service needs to be improved.
