The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa

We decided to try The Westin Kierland for the first time and boy are we glad we did. I feel like their favorite words are ”sure” and ”no problem” and ”there is no charge for that”. We ended up having to change the dates of our stay by a couple days and Marcie who helped me book my package, pick a great room & reserve a couple pool chairs said ”no problem” and switched it. She was amazing. We got a late flight change and asked if we could stay past check out...”sure”. We asked if we could cancel our pool chairs for the last day of our reservation, sure ”there is no charge for that”. The gentleman who worked around the adult pool giving waters was great. He was there so fast if our waters ran out. We loved that we didn't have to reserve chairs by the adult pool. All around a great resort. I dont expect a yes every time but it was shocking how happy they are to please guests.
Hilton Phoenix Resort at the Peak

Camelback East
The house prices are really not cheap. The townhouses and apartments in this area were bought casually at the price of 30,000 to 40,000 US dollars in 2008. So the relative land prices, the hotel is really profitable, and the hotel has a $ 39 resort fee. Ctrip is not included in the price. So be very careful when ordering, except for local tyrants. The hotel has a lot of ”pits”. I ordered a self-service restaurant at night, so no tip was given. After signing the order, the bank sent a text message. The price increased by 20 [%] Fortunately, the bank presided over justice. The place for breakfast was not labeled, but the ordinary Crossint and donuts in a supermarket each cost $ 4 for a total of $ 8. Fortunately only booked for one day
Arizona Biltmore, Lxr Hotels & Resorts

Camelback East
This was my wife and my 10th+ visit there. We went back partly to sit by the pool and partly to see the renovations that have recently been made. I think that the chief differentiator of the Biltmore vs other luxury hotels is its beautiful and unique architecture. The new owners don't seem to have realized that. There are 4 big changes at the hotel. 1) The new adults- only pool. While it took out part of the beautiful Biltmore lawn, it's a good addition. More non-reserved seating would really help - the free seating fills quickly. 2) The new outdoor bar. It takes up the rest of the former lawn. It looks like a spaceship landed on the Biltmore lawn. It has zero design cues from the rest of the hotel and looks like it could go behind any old Marriott or Hilton. 3) The new waterslide at the Paradise Pool. The old slide was in a very Biltmore-esqe tower. The new one, which can be seen from many places at the resort, is a generic steel tower that clashes with everything else at the Biltmore except the new spaceship bar. 4) Dining prices have gone thru the roof. It's not worth the risk to pay these prices, and while good, pool lunch food is really pricey. While the rooms, lobby and grounds remain beautiful, it is concerning to see the direction current management is taking. They are currently on a path to slowly turn this place into a mishmash of stuff that totally loses the defining feature of the hotel - amazing, unique and beautiful architecture.
