Travelers Reviews of Petra Hotels

Grand Mercure Petra
4.2/569 Reviews
The hotel sit atop a hill overlooking the desert hills - a wonderful view, about a 10-min. drive from the Petra visitor center. All the staff we met, from the security guards, to the bellman, the front desk, the restaurant - were just SUPERB. All of them. The lobby is inviting and warm, the restaurant is spacious and with lots of sunshine. Dinner buffet had a very nice variety and decent quality, yet overpriced. Breakfast had a wonderful variety with good quality. The room was very clean, and looked like it was built last year - very well maintained. Although the building looks very new, overall, the hotel is overpriced a bit. Overall, an excellent choice for Petra.

Beautiful interior, love the ambiance of lobby lounge and Al Iwan restaurant, food is delicious! Excellent location, just opposite Petra Visitor Centre, ATM can be found next to the Centre and only charge a small fee compared to ATM at airport. Unfortunately, not every superior room comes with a balcony therefore i don’t see what’s the difference compared to classic category. And AC/heater in room smell like kitchen, not sure because our room was just above the back kitchen. After all, it’s a mixed feeling about the hotel.

Beautiful hotel, with very friendly, respectful employees. The rooms are very clean, and come with the most beautiful astonishing view of the mountains, something you’ve never seen before and when looking at it keep you dazzled. For dinner we got a local dish with chicken en lamb what they grilled in a underground oven. This hotel and the staff deserves a full 5 star rating!

Pros Clean top of the mountain, the scenery is quiet Disadvantages: on the top of the mountain, the slope looks 30 degrees. It takes 10 minutes to go down. It takes more than 20 minutes to go up. From the front door of Petra to the hotel, 3 Jordanian money Hotel Evening 10 Jordan Breakfast is 6 Jordan, nothing to eat and full of food with sticks You can eat at a restaurant under the mountain, but you can eat at a cute hotel. The conclusion is that if you don't have a rental car, it costs more than the accommodation fee.

A very good hotel for night view in Petra. On the same day, I can take pictures of Petra's most beautiful mountain view through the window. Whether it is the front desk of the hotel or the waiter, we have provided us with good service, and I look forward to feeling such a professional service next time!
