Hotels near Matinloc Shrine in Palawan

Everyone was very nice and helpful. The spa massage was great. The pool was nice. We were able to book the private island hopping tour and rent a scooter right at the reception, which was very convenient. Everything was clean. There is a complimentary transfer to the papaya beach. We would recommend staying here.

Our room was very nice, clean and large. The location of the hotel with the private beach was of course the absolute highlight. The staff was super friendly. Kayaks etc. could be borrowed for free, which is also a big plus. Unfortunately, there was only boiled coffee at breakfast, you had to pay extra for the rest - I find it really sad at the price. Likewise, the staff is sometimes very slow. When I sit alone at the pool bar and have to wait 15 minutes for my coke + have to point it out again, it's really a shame.

I understand why reviews of this hotel are so mixed. I first stayed in the newer part - a beautiful room on the 3rd floor, overlooking the beach. The room was clean, new and sparkling. There was a modern key card lock system, a fabulous bathroom and great views. Then, I was transferred to a room in the older section. Here, the bathroom had only a hand held shower head, the grout was discolored and the water didn't drain well, leaving me standing in a puddle while using the sink. The wood furniture and floor was scuffed and worn. The door lock used a key and was a bit flimsy. That said, it had a balcony overlooking the beach that offered the same great views. Avoid the first floor, as others have said, because people walk by on the way to breakfast and there is little privacy. El Nido beach is very busy, with walkers, vendors, even motorcycles, so be sure to get a higher floor.

Had one of the best times in my life with the free sunset cruise of Balai Adlao. The staff was very accommodating especially the one who went with us in the sunset ride. Sir Nokki and Sir Vlad. Truly a place I would recommend because of their staff. The sunset rude was very very relaxing and at the same time informative as well thanks to the knowledge of Sir Nokki. We also saw dolphins as well. Truly a trip to remember. They also offer free snorkeling sessions for their guests. A must try for my next visit.

The hotel is in an excellent location, just a 2-minute walk to the embankment, where boats depart for excursions. The room is clean, everything is new, they are cleaned well, there have never been any comments. The staff is very responsive! I felt there as if I was an invited guest ❤️ There were problems with the water pressure a couple of times, but I will not lower the rating for this, since everything was resolved as soon as I contacted the reception. Vegan breakfasts are beautiful, but not very tasty, but maybe that’s just the case for me, because I’m not a vegan. For non-vegetarians, the neighboring hotel provides breakfast, which is also included in the price; there is no need to pay extra. Many thanks to the hotel staff for such a warm welcome ❤️

It was situated in a very convenient location in El Nido Town so it was within walking distance of stalls, restaurants and bars. However, it also was very noisy at night and rooms lacked soundproofing. If you’re a light sleeper, I would not recommend this resort as it can be very loud. Rooms were clean though. With the showers, it was also quite difficult to regulate the temperature.

Very good option in El Nido! The rooms are nice and cozy, secluded and I like the native motif of the room. Breakfast is of big serving, kinda difficult to finish early in the morning 😆. Staffs are nice especially Ms Fritzie who never misses to greet us and asks about our day/tour. Electricity was never a problem, unlike I’ve encountered in other accommodations in El Nido, as it is common. Sanse Boutique Hotel is a very good option when you want to go to El Nido if you want to be in the center of the town, very near to restaurants, shops, pharmacy, and the pier where you will start your island hopping. Still have some things to work on.. They didn’t started on top when our pre-booked shuttle didn’t showed up at airport. Waited an hour until a security guard at the airport helped us order a tricycle. Some misunderstanding between booking office and the reception was the answer, but they paid for our tricycle. It was a nice and modern hotel. Not a resort for pool relaxing because they only have few sun beds and always occupied. Even towels were few. Always in laundry was the answer. The rooms were tiny and dark. Always humid and moist. All our clothes and even bed linens felt wet. The food was tasty and good. But as in many places the service isn’t very fast. Long waiting times, from order to waiting even if they weren’t crowded. They were really keen on the allergies and made some offer to try to fix things. Even if they had spring rolls med of rice paper on the menu, of course the rice paper were out of stock they didn’t got new for our whole stay. As much others. No Cola Zero. Out of French fries and so on. They’re not quick to clean used glasses around pool area. Our tv didn’t work. They had not a great interest in trying to make it work. Our door lock same thing.. Good thing is the free shuttle to ElNido, LioBeach and the airport. Upon checkout I got the question how the stay was, my hesitation in answer and that it didn’t fulfill my expectations I didn’t got any reaction or questions how they could have done better. Don’t ask the question if you don’t want the answer.

I stayed at this hostel 4 nights on 12 bed room. Good place to party, nice view and far from town. You must take a tricycle or rent a motorbike. Wifi not so good. there is no wifi inside the room and no line connection. They have island hopping tour, van transport etc. Also have restaurant down there. Overall i will stay here just for sleep.

Nacpan Beach Resort and Sunmai Restaraunt were truly pleasant surprise in the quality and location on the very quiet Nacpan Beach. The four km long beach is the most beautiful and clean beach I’ve visited in Asia. White sand, excellent service and resort facilities and still some original untouched parts along the beach when you walk a bit further from the village. Simply amazing! We enjoyed the friendly staff, relaxing massage, delicious foods and cold drinks right by the beach. It was also lovely to see the resort management and staff taking care of the surrounding community and animals; there’s a turtle nesting cottages as the beach is also a nesting beach for many turtle species, and the resort allows the stray dogs wander around the facility. Be kind and kindness comes to you ❤️
