September 9, 2024
I went to stay at the hotel on the 5th September 2024 due to having a leak at my flat and the repair works was unable to be started until the 9th, I was told to pack what I could and get out and left my bank card behind in the rush, so was unable to preauthorise my card the day off arrival, but did it the second day as my support brought it to me. On checking in, I felt judged by the staff as I clearly arrived unprepared and anxious, I also have mental health issues and support in the community, making my situation worse, they clearly didn't like the fact I wasn't able to place a card on account immediately. On Saturday I was spoken to rudely by the manager of the restaurant, as I ordered a coke that wasn't included in the room rate booking, and was asked in front of other paying customers are you sure you can pay for this, embarrassing me further and making me feel really uncomfortable. On Sunday the rudeness escalated and I was spoken to rudely by the waitress doing the breakfast, oh your here again, and then again by the waitress at dinner time. On Monday the waitress was sarcastic to me during breakfast, and made me feel a burden, and when I found out they tried to take the money out of my account earlier then agreed, I had enough and had to leave the immediately, which incurred additional costs for a taxi as I had a lift booked at 11am When I went to checkout they was no thank you for your stay, just I think you've already paid, yes you have, do you want a receipt and then she walked off. As soon as any hotel finds out my room is paid for in advance, by a housing association, i am automatically treated like homeless scum, I won't be staying again, if you asked me I would have explained the situation, but instead you judged me unfairly and treated me unfairly. On a positive I enjoyed the food, the room was clean, even though it was dark and cold, just watch the hidden extras.
