This hotel is dirty and smelly the carpets are hanging off the stairs going up to the rooms , carpets filthy , paint work coming off the walls , the handle of our window was half broke and we had one curtain on a rail, which was also very dirty , do not be fooled by the photos on the site, I can not even begin to tell you how disgusting the reception area was .

Not impressed at all. Nothing at all like what is shown on the website. Cannot and will not recommend. Reception staff rather unprofessional, toilet in room faulty, mattress on the bed worn out and very uncomfortable etc.

Booked a week in advance for a one night stay. Had an email when we were on the way to say our booking was cancelled leaving us desperately trying to find an alternative for a Saturday night! Looking at previous reviews it seems we had a lucky escape.

Do yourself a favour, don’t waste your time, move on and book another one. Booked for a business stay for 6 people, booked by a client. Didn’t even go to our rooms before deciding to re-book at the Travelodge down the road. Completely run down, bad service, I’d bet money on there being illegal activity on the premises… what ever it may be. Like I said, this is all before I even saw a room.. god knows what that would have been like. Should be shut down.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL! After having booked this hotel and travelling to Nottingham to attend a family wedding in tragic circumstances. I arrived at the hotel with my family of 6 after travelling from Italy only to discpver that our rooms had been given away as there was a problem (resolved) with my credit card. At no point was this ever communicated to me and we were effectively homeless for the night. It is appaling that this is allowed to happen in this digital day and age where communication is at everyone's fingertips. I received an email saying my card needed updating, I updated it but in the meantime our 2 family rooms wwere given away. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE.

1/518 hours ago on  Google We slept in the car!!! We both awoke to feeling very ill and feeling like we were burning. The room had been newly painted (clearly over dirt) and hadn't been aired out so I can only imagine the fumes have made us ill. After spitting blood i decided it was time to vaccate the room. (4am) The carpet is filthy, the floor smells like an actual tip. A constant smell of rotten garbage. The shower is filthy, the towels have toothpaste staines on them. The floor was wet with brown liquid which I can only imagine was a last minute attempt to clean it. The radiator pipes are resting on the floor. Huge fire hazard. The code for the door would not work and there is no emergency number so we were stuck outside for a good hour. When we were finally let in the owner didn't apologise and said 'OK ladies remember to keep it down for everyone else' like we were children. Disgraceful. Worst experience of my life. The smell of **** is the top tear aroma you will experience in that hell hole

We had booked a night away and with hours to go before we checked in I received an email saying our booking was cancelled, no common decency to call us - shocking service good job we saw it in time and after seeing all other reviews I’m not surprised at your lack of concern for peoples plans

My first impression came from the car park. It's a very sharp turn to get into it - not nice at all. The car park was full of old mattresses. Every wall in the car park and the front of the hotel itself had old mattresses leaning against them, or stacked up in front of them. You could hardly tell that there were any walls - the whole place looked like an oversized padded cell from a mental hospital. Reception was locked. No staff anywhere. Looking through the dirty windows I saw more mattresses and a pile of other junk. The receptionist eventually arrived, smoking ****. Very chatty, but not very helpful. I thought I was never going to get checked in. After a long pointless talk about the weather, covid, and nearby pubs, she asked me if I'd paid for parking. I showed her the listing on my booking that said parking was free. She said it wasn't, and went to pull some mattresses away from the wall. This uncovered a notice from a parking company that said I had 15 minutes to pay. She'd taken longer than that to show up, and kept me talking for at least 20 minutes before saying anything about parking. She told me not to worry "because the cameras are usually broken". That doesn't fill me with confidence at all. She gave me a scrap of paper torn off a notepad with the code for the gate and the wifi scribbled on it. Really professional. I went to my room, past another guy who was also smoking ****. The room was small. Nothing to sit on except for the bed. There was an empty fag packet in the shower. The view from the window was of a flat tin roof covered in rubbish. The whole night was spent listening to drunks fighting each other outside. I left the next morning, and nothing on this planet could make me go back again.

As still shown if you Google this place and "ample free parking", that is what was advertised when I booked. I arrived to find the car park full of old mattresses, the reception office used as a dumping ground, and no staff. Some time went by before a staff member appeared, and told me that I needed to pay for parking, which I promptly did. I now find myself hounded by a parking company, claiming i need to pay £100 in fines, because I was 2 minutes late paying. The room was spared - not even a chair. The shower did not work. A bright light shone into the room all night, keeping us awake. Drunks yelled from below half the night. Seriously, stay away!!!
