Noboribetsu Grand Hotel

We stayed in the South Twin room and were pleasantly surprised. I was expecting the hotel to be older and more dated. The rooms were small but very clean and quite modern in design. Bathroom was one of the best amongst the hotels I've stayed in on this trip to Hokkaido. Onsen was pleasant and clean but I've experienced nicer onsens. Sulfur onsen pool was great for the skin and I slept like a baby after. Would highly recommend a stay here!

The room was great, just like a vacation. The food was great, too. The food was delicious. But the downside was that the whole city was filled with a sulfur smell (rotten eggs). I was woken up several times by the smell.

It should be a small, exquisite but expensive hotel in Noboribetsu Onsen Town. It takes ten minutes to walk to Jigokudani. The Japanese-style room is large and the private bath is also very good. It is no problem for two people to take a bath together. It is a good choice to experience Japanese style. The hot springs here are all volcanic hot springs with a strong sulfur smell. There are three public baths, one is outdoors, and there are not many people. For transportation, you can email or ask Ctrip to help you book a bus from Sapporo to the hotel. It departs from Sapporo TV Tower at 1:15 pm, and it costs 1,000 yen per person. There is an airport bus to the airport at more than ten o'clock in the morning, but you have to book it in advance on the Donan Bus website. It is not easy to operate in Japanese, so I asked the front desk to help me book it on my computer. The hotel is quite expensive in food. Dinner is a kaiseki cuisine, which is very exquisite. Breakfast is semi-buffet with a set meal. In addition, if you bring children to stay, it is based on double occupancy. Add 21,000 yen for meals, and the food is exactly the same as adults. This is obviously more cost-effective than booking a three-person stay directly.

The hotel is located on the hot spring street, very close to the bus station, opposite to 711, and convenient to the Bear Ranch and Jigokudani. The staff speaks very good English and can communicate without any obstacles. The kaiseki cuisine and breakfast are also delicious. The hot springs are divided into indoor and open-air. I personally feel that the open-air ones are very artistic and I like them very much~

Hotel very near to Jikokudani and you can walk around 10 mins. Hotel is old but cleanness and staffs also nice and helpful. They can manage all guests systematically and easily. The best things for this hotel is onsen which have more than 12 bathtub. Very impressive and enjoy in this hotel.

Already the second time to stay at this hotel, although the room is old, but the ordinary room is very large, hotel buffet - long leg crab legs super fresh 👍🏻👍🏻 And shuttle Noboribetsu JR - bus to station 14, get off at the hotel door, very convenient 👍🏻👍🏻 The hot spring has five pools, my favorite open-air hot spring is the sulfur spring🤭
