Very large and comfortable bed with good, related cover - that we enjoyed after nights in other ***hotels only with wool cover over lakens. Prima modern shower!!! , skill and to enjoy, perfectly clean! Rooms are large and have coffee machine (have no breakfast, want to have breakfast in the place). Parking like in every old town is difficult, but helpful would be an indication of which parking house nearby you can best use and direct control. Otherwise very good stay in the hotel, would always like to stay there again. Very satisfied. Recommended!

Very well located hotel, close to SNCF train station. Very convenient for overnight stay. Unfortunately, the reception is only open from 5:00 pm, which makes the check-in very late.
A minor problem during my stay, my hotel room had a strong smell of air freshener and it was not clean, especially the toilet.

Needed a hotel near station/airport shuttle to get flight home. But this hotel was better than expected - and Nimes deserves a day or two looking at the roman historical sites etc. IBIS Budget Hotel is right across the road from the train station (back exit for bus connections) and is situated in same building as IBIS Styles so don't be confused! They have the same reception area/dining area - you just head to different sides of the hotel for your selected room. Stayed in budget part of hotel. Quirky rooms with clever and efficient use of space having shower/sink 'in room' and toilet in its own cubicle. Bed very comfortable, good shower. We really only needed a bed for the night and this more than sufficed. Reviews had shown people rated the breakfasts well and this is well justified. Excellent choices of continental but also scrambled egg, pancakes and waffles. Lots of continental breads and croissants and as we were eating staff brought out freshly baked madeleines (delicious!). Lots of fruit and impressed with the use of loose teas and recyclable bags to make your own teabags. Shuttle for airport right outside and staff at check in checked times and prices for us. We had only one night there but the roman arena is gorgeous and there were several restaurants beside this. Highly recommend the fillet steak at Chez Hubert. Gorgeous! Better than expected experience and ideal for what we needed.
Close to the A9 and 10 km from the airport, the Campanile Nîmes Center - Mas Carbonnel is ideal for family stays as well as for business trips. Located near the Parc des Expositions and 1.5 km from the Nîmes arenas, it facilitates outings and visits. In the hotel you will find secure parking, a restaurant and a meeting room.

I was surprised to find out that there are no staff stationed at the hotel past 8pm, despite my check-in voucher stating that the latest check-in time is 11pm. I do not like the experience as I arrived Nimes after a nearly 3-hour train delay and I was expecting that I could get into my room without much of a hassle. However, there was no staff at all when I entered the reception hall. I was shocked and luckily with the help of other residents I was able to call the staff and they advised how I could collect my key. I was lucky but it is possible that other customers in similar situations may not be so lucky.

Very Good
Sshenandoah1506It gives me no pleasure to leave a poor review but it has to be said this was a disapointing stay. We chose the most expensive room which had two levels, upstairs being the main living room. We used photos to make our selection but they bore little resemblence to what we got. (Photo one/two) The room had been stripped down to bare essentials. No bedside lights or sockets. Furthermore the bathroom (somewhat grubby) was downstairs with the main light at the bottom of a narrow curved staircase. There was a table light at the top of the stairs which did not provide much safety. The balcony area was shared with three large air conditioning units. The downstairs rooms were likewise spartan, no carpets/rugs, poor decor and an old fence used as a headboard on the ground floor bed. (From which I got a splinter.) The main entrance was nicely appointed though the staircarpet was long overdue to be changed spoiling the impression. On arrival after driving 500 kms, we were told there was no food to be had. This as it turned out, was a lucky escape as when we did eat in, two days later when there was food, we were presented with gazpacho that was so vinegary it was imposible to finish and ”risotto”(??) literally pressed into a jam pot. No flavour, no presentation. The dessert was an industrial chocolate mousse in a jar. Good things: The pool area was nice and kept clean. (The water was very cold.) The breakfasts were good. The staff were friendly. I have tried to be fair in this review. Pré Galoffre needs to pay attention to details if it's to maintain it's place as third hotel in Nimes and not rest on any laurels it may have had in the past. We shall not return.
GGuest UserAfter the hotel parking lot goes to the ground, the square is directly opposite the hotel. The front desk was very welcoming and took the initiative to tell the nearby attractions. Through the sncf on the square, you can first see the Colosseum, and the sights are very close. It is convenient to eat, drink and play in the city that never sleeps. Parking to the front desk for 10 Euros, and 1 Euro per person per night
GGuest UserWe reserved two nights at the Royal Hotel in Nimes, France. On the day we checked-in, they charged my credit card for the two nights lodging, but I was not made aware of this. When we checked out, we were given a receipt for the two nights lodging, plus parking fee and tax, which was charged to my credit card. It wasn't until I saw my credit card statement that I realized they double charged for the two nights lodging. I sent them a couple emails about the double charges, but never received a response. Fortunately, my credit card company refunded me the extra charges, and said they would deal with the hotel about the charges. I never heard more about it. The hotel is in a nice location for seeing the sights in Nimes, and the room was fine. Our room overlooked the outdoor restaurant in front of the hotel, but we did not have any noise issues at night. We did not eat there, because they did not offer gluten-free meals, but there were other restaurants in town that did. There is a public underground parking garage with an elevator that come up the street next to the hotel. Over-all, a good stay except for the double charges on the credit card.
We stayed a week and thoroughly enjoyed our visit, but it's not without faults. Closer to 3 star than the declared 4star The garden offers some pleasant privacy. The pool is pristine and ideal for children to splash about in but swimming - no. Our room with access to the garden was very comfortable with quiet effective air conditioning.A well-appointed bathroom with good plumbing. Breakfast ( included ) was adequate. The cooked section was scrambled eggs and sausages, didn't like. Three minor things irritated us: Ordering a Gin& Tonic the only bottle was close to empty, the next evening there was no Gin and I was advised there would not be any for the rest of the week. As it happens a fresh bottle appeared on day three. The Hotel was understaffed as when ordering drinks they were started and were on the counter only to be abandoned as guests had arrived, when I enquired after our drinks I was blankly informed that guests had to be checked in, I mentioned that I had ordered prior to them arriving ( I apologised to the guests - but the ice was melting ! ) and then on checking out the receptionist said I had to pay for all extras for our visit without seeing a bill. I explained that I had never been asked to pay a hotel bill without being shown and was told ” I guess we're different” I thought it was rude and foolish. I would still totally recommend L'Orangerie, we really enjoyed ourselves, just be prepared to navigate the above ”silly annoying” things and all will be well. There is no dining room as such although plenty of space for breakfast. There are a few restaurants across the road. It's circa 15 min walk to La Gare.
GGuest UserCracking little Ibis, around 5 mins off the motorway. Very well soundproofed rooms, with big comfy beds. Loads of bars n restaurants within a 5 min walk. Grassy area out front of hotel for dogs. Good Wifi, secure parking and a very good breakfast choice. All staff great, especially the young guy from Brazil. Pool open, and big enough to swim laps
We stayed 2 nights at the start of our trip and 1 night on return. The hotel rooms are a little faded but clean with good large bed and adequate shower. We had lost our baggage and the reception staff were very helpful in all ways. There is a large restaurant/bar adjacent to the pool. The restaurant is middle price and the food is good. Breakfast is buffet style with a good selection, good value at 10Eu The pool is lovely, loungers and tables available with bar service also an outdoor dining area. The hotel is easily accessed from the airport and central Nimes, for the price of a Premier Inn it gives very good value.
GGuest UserAll well except loader that for the Tesla, and in the nearby environments as impossible to reload the car To precise because c is noted that it is possible to load a electric car I need 200 characters minimum for the opinion and sincerely I do not save more what to say ;)
Hotel with a charming zero but comfortable for a stop for a walk because well connected to the road network; far from the city center, not reachable walking, and located in a fairly unsqueezed shopping area of the evening; i.e. good to sleep for a night or Two. It is equipped with two small swimming pools and a garden outside where you can make breakfast. The room was simple, quite clean, with very small spaces for anything. The hotel is very comfortable and is very comfortable and has a good and varied breakfast.
Hotel deserving a good refreshment, but personal at the small care for you, breakfast more than a day taste, but in contrast to the perfect dinner. Thank you very much to Claire for her smile and professionalism ... In a brief price perfectly justified, strongly renovations
Cheep and cheerful, perfect if looking for a place to sleep between travelling. Booked a side car room (two single beds and sink in room), which was €35 a night, and had shared shower room and toilet. Room was very clean, and the air conditioning kept the room nice and cool. Location was a bit out of the way, but there was a bus stop just a few minutes away with busses going into the centre of the town.
