After traveling in France extensively, we were thrilled to discover this unique b&b, truly a gem hidden in the hyper center of Nimes. It's under the shadow of the Roman amphitheater and within easy walk to all attractions in town. What sets the host apart is his eagerness to spoil his guests. During our 5 day stay, every breakfast is different and a delightful surprise! And the tastefully renovated courtyard and living area is an oasis to relax after the sight seeing. This is an unforgettable experience, the highlight of our trip. We will definitely be back in the future! Merci beaucoup!

Antichambre consistently gets great reviews because it is consistently a great place to stay. A very comfortable room with the extra appeal of a salon and outdoor courtyard; in a great location; an astonishingly good and special breakfast; with a welcome from the always helpful, always exemplary Jean-Luc. It's a different experience to a standard hotel and it absolutely can't be beat.

Jean-Luc could not have been more welcoming, or helpful. I urgently needed to connect to the internet for a zoom meeting & he facilitated this whilst giving my husband a welcome drink! He also made us the most amazing breakfast. The room was clean & comfortable & the bathroom spacious. The only negative was the loo did not flush!

Everything about our stay here was 5 star. Our room, and the communal lounge area were furnished tastefully to a very high standard, and were impeccably clean. Our room and en suite shower room were very spacious. The copious breakfast was served in a beautiful, quiet, and secluded courtyard. Breakfast itself was very imaginative, with a number of small tapas-style dishes ranging from fresh boiled egg with truffle shavings, to spiced courgette slices with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Parking is available in a private, locked garage a couple of minutes walk from the property. Jean-Luc is the perfect host, catering to all your needs, and providing useful local information. I cannot recommend this property highly enough!

I love this chambres d'hôtes! This was my third stay. The rooms are clean, well equipped, and there is a lovely lounge room and large courtyard. I felt completely at home. Jean-Luc prepares the most fabulous breakfasts, and this time he also provided 'un snack' in the evening as I didn't feel like eating out. The location is central too. I highly recommend.

I love this hotel. It's my second stay there. It's small, beautifully appointment with a lovely lounge room to relax in, and the breakfast is out of this world. Don't eat a big dinner the night before! The hotel is close to everything but also very quiet, so I slept really well. I recommend it very highly. J'adore cet hôtel. C'est mon deuxième séjour là-bas. Il est petit, joliment aménagé avec un joli salon pour se détendre et le petit-déjeuner est à tomber par terre. Ne mangez pas un grand dîner la veille! L'hôtel est proche de tout mais aussi très calme, donc j'ai très bien dormi. Je le recommande grandement.

We stayed for the night in this wonderful boutique hotel and it was our first visit to Nimes. Our hosts were amazing and every detail of the accommodation and breakfast was well thought out with such imagination and style. The design element is echoed in the shop at the front of the hotel. We enjoyed the air con especially as it was so hot and we had a great night’s sleep in the large comfortable bed. The lounge area is incredible, a hanging chair record player books and again just the art pieces are incredible. Every fine detail. But the best is last with the chef style breakfast which is truly as good as anything I have ever eaten in top restaurants. All local ingredients eaten outside in the courtyard garden. Life doesn’t get any better than this! Can’t wait to return.

A real treat! Nimes itself is a gem to visit, and Antichambre is a fantastic place to stay. Ideal for couples, just three rooms with beautiful decor - you see the personal touches everywhere. Perfect location close to the centre but very quiet. A haven court yard to relax in. Jean-luc the best host! Welcome drink and the most sublime breakfast. Recommend big time!
