Ayatana Ooty

Very good stay. Hospitality was a standout, especially at the restaurant. Mr. Ram and the team made us very comfortable From getting high chairs for my 2 children, getting khichdi , chowmein complementary for them, arranging tables at our preferred spots. Positives 1. Great hospitality - Special mentions Restaurant staff - Ram, Amit , Buggy driver who gave us a tour of the resort and kept our so many bags carefully in my car. They provided a crib as I had asked. 2. Room service - Room was promptly cleaned when asked for. In fact the staff also remembered that we had asked them to not enter the room with their shoes and it was followed without asking again. Room prepared/cleaned when I hung the Make up my room sign. 3. Good views - We didn't get the best view room (101) but still it was great , valley, tea plantation, tea plants near your relaxing/lounge balcony. You get woken up by a lot of birds chirping. Birds will come to the garden below your room. Air is fresh as the resort is away from civilization. You will feel happy if you want to relax in nature 4. Room location - Room was very close to hi-tea area and the restaurant, which was great as we had 2 small kids with us. 5. Good room - Premium furnishings, Well designed interior with the right use of lights. There was a master switch to turn off all the lights near bedside which was great. Good and spacious bathroom. Toileteries were from kama ayurveda which was great. They provided 2 proper slippers as well. 6. Well maintained plants and flowers. Few misses/ Improvement areas 1. Booking experience/Reservations needs a big improvement - Didn't provide me the best rate (had to book on MMT) - Didn't tell us that milk and food/khichdi is complementary for the kids - We carried 4 litres of milk cartons from bengaluru to the resort. Could have been avoided - Didn't send me the list of spots in Ooty when asked over call/Whatsapp twice - Didn't send me the list of spots in Coonoor when asked during check-in - Didn't help in planning itinerary. Please get some local expert who can help the folks plan the nearby visits 2. Post room cleaning they missed keeping the water bottles. 3. One of the towel had dirty orange stains. It was promptly replaced when asked 4. Toothpaste provided is anchor. Doesn't fit well with the other toileteries. Should be a premium brand or even Colgate would be better 5. No-body to manage the bonfire - Ambers were dislodging and falling from the fire, could hurt someone 6. Relatively few activities - Especially No small kids play area, this doesn't take a lot of cost and should be added. 7. No spa or gym in the resort I feel this resort is great as a honeymoon/couples destination. It is ok for family with kids.

Breakfast 🥞 buffet at Ayatana Resorts. Superb buffet, superb spread. Couldn't sample everything they had. They had desserts too. Initially plan was to have breakfast followed by dessert, but the breakfast was simply too filling. A delicious, wholesome breakfast. I didn't try their porridge or corn flakes also. After I had finished, one of the waiters said there was a dosa section and parathas also to be had, but I politely declined, this in itself was simply too filling. Didn't try any of the desserts also despite planning to initially. Next time will definitely check out their desserts. There was pork and chicken sausages, Korean style rice dish, home made chicken curry, baked beans, sauteed peas and mushrooms, upma, pav bhaji and the list goes on and on. There is an egg counter and a dosa counter too where you can have your eggs and dosas just the way you want it. The desserts were doughnut, tea cake, cinnamon rolls, muffins, Danish roll, and croissant. A lavish spread. You can have all this for Rs. 699/= plus tax. Well worth it. Ayatana Resorts near Adhigaratti is a classy place too. If I didn't know it was in the Nilgiris and if I hadn't been there before and you showed me the pics and asked me to guess where it was, I would've guessed some place in Europe. The buffet is basically for the guests who stay in the chalets, but if you land up, they''ll serve you too. Premium, posh, classy place. They've got a nice bar here too. It is about an hour's drive from both Ooty and Coonoor, well worth your time and money.

We had a staff retreat in Ayatana in February 2025. This was our first time there in Ayatana, we were around 50+ members, and we had a tremendously happy experience. The ambiance was serene and bliss and very well maintained. The food and accommodation was extremely good. The staff was very friendly and approachable throughout the stay. I would recommend Ayatana for those who want to stay away from the hustle-bustle lifestyle.

Had a very pleasant stay in ayatana ooty! The staffs were so calm and helpful. Rizwaan, Uma and Noor from reception became our favourites 🥰 Food is something we should not miss here and the restaurant staff also were equally welcoming. Overall stay was excellent ❤️
