Hotels Near Nikko Ningyono Museum in Nikko

I stayed with my family in December 2021. I liked it too much after a long time, so I repeated my reservation in March. ■ Meals The meals can be selected as ”buffet style”, ”half private room dining room” and ”room meal”, but definitely ”buffet style” is recommended. I thought it would be a pretty delicious part compared to the live kitchen, the freshly fried tenkara and the buffet of the common hotel. This level is not too much to say the same class as the ”hanari” of Lake Hakone, ashinoko. The vegetables that tend to be pulled out of this hand are delicious and exciting. It seems to be limited, but fireworks rose right behind the hotel. I thought I was working very hard while the customer was decreasing in the corona. Room is huge compared to most Japanese hotel rooms. Modern styling, particularly loved the layout of the room. Tv was a great size and quality but disappointedly didn’t have any smart tv apps you can log into. It does have movie and other satellite channels. Bed was huge and super comfortable, 2 pillows on each side and a good weight duvet. We stayed for 2 nights and loved our stay.

The room is quite large, the beds are all large double beds, the tables, chairs and sofas are also very good, there are also projectors and TVs, the kitchen is also fully equipped, including a microwave, induction cooker, and cooking utensils, so you can cook by yourself. The whole room is a big open space The room has no partitions and is not suitable for those who need privacy. Those who live on the first floor may face the noise from residents walking on the second floor. The hotel is located next to the highway, next to a small village, about a quarter of an hour's walk from Tobu Nikko Station. Although the road is not long, it is not very smooth. There is a 7-11 and a larger supermarket within three minutes. There is no front desk, check-in requires self-service, and the room has a password lock. Remember that you cannot check in before three o'clock and you cannot store your luggage. Your luggage can be stored at the station. It cost 5,100 RMB to stay for three days. For reference we stayed in the Standard Dormitory. There are 2 rooms, 8 beds in each that share 2 toilets, a single sink, a single shower and a small kitchen. The bathrooms, kitchen, and shower were always clean. However, the kitchen only has a microwave and some plates, bowels and a few cups. There is no stove top to cook anything and there is no oven to use. You’re limited to microwave meals or eating out. If you’re on a budget and only plan on staying a single night then this is a great place. Any more nights and I would recommend finding another place. The staff a friendly and speak great English.

My wife and I booked the Nikko Station Hotel II for April 13 - 15 as a non refundable reservation. This week, the US State Dept issued a Level 4 warning for all US citizens to avoid international travel due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In spite of their normal policy, the Nikko Station Hotel II made an exception due to the COVID-19 pandemic and issued a full refund. We will reschedule our trip to Japan after the pandemic passes and WILL DEFINITELY rebook at the Nikko Station Hotel II, as they have shown excellent customer service in a difficult time!

Convenient location, such as convenience store in front of you, ramen shop next to you, just a short walk from TOBU Nikko station. The personal space of the capsule is not large, but there is a card key in the entrance room, and a locker with a key in the personal space, and the security is also considered. It is still new and beautiful including toilets and baths. The receptionist also responded politely, and the Nikko sightseeing after the next day was substantial because of the correspondence to the information provision and the question immediately.

The hotel is more like a museum :). You can admire every room and every thing :) You will see a table lamp at the reception, which has been standing there since 1907, in the lobby you will see photographs of people who stayed at this hotel - Indira Gandhi, Eleanor Roosevelt, Robert Koch, Edward Prince of Wales and many other. The restaurant has very beautiful dishes. And the table for dinner was set using 11 cutlery :) The staff is very attentive and polite. I would especially like to thank Sabita for her help. The room itself is fairly basic (but not modern) the beds are very comfortable and the bathroom has everything you need for a short stay. Rooms are not cleaned daily and towels are not changed unless specifically requested. The location of the hotel is very convenient, a three-minute walk from Nikko Park - UNESCO heritage. Currently, one wing of the hotel is being renovated.

Visited on a family trip. The room was a small room, but Obekka was used at the front desk saying ”I upgraded this time”. There are many old folk houses that foreigners like + legendary Tengu, Tanuki, and Fujin Raijin from deep in the mountains of Japan. There is no toilet or bath in the room. What you have to be careful about is that the restroom only has water, and the drain from the faucet is narrow, so washing your hands is probably the limit. It has a system of shared toilets and shared baths, and the shared bath on the first floor is about the size of a public bath and has only one large bathtub. There is an outdoor area, but it is about 5 people wide. You can wash your body in the communal bath, but you can't in the private bath. I thought it was for foreign tourists from such a place. The food is a buffet and there is almost no food for children under infants, so if you are using a family, you will need to bring your own food for children who can not eat for adults, or buy meals at a convenience store in Kinugawa. be. Adult meals are delicious, but for some reason the staff rushes to eat. In the morning, when the last order time passes, the food is mercilessly lowered, so it is necessary to go early. Also, when it's time for dinner, it's annoying because they come right away to pick up the plates. If you pay 3,300 yen per group, you can use the private bath for 24 hours. There are 6 places, so I usually put it somewhere. And for repeaters, the private bath will be free next time. Based on the above, it is not suitable for families with small children at all. It would be better if they were at least junior high school students. Also, I think it would be satisfactory for couples who want to relax alone, foreign tourists, couples, and elderly female travelers. Personally, I think it would be nice if there was a toilet and bath in the room, but I think it would be difficult to get there because it takes about 60 minutes by car from Kinugawa Onsen Station to climb a mountain. There is nothing around, but on the contrary it is vacant, so I think it is good to take a walk in nature.

I adore the Ritz Carlton brand - whether in Paris, SG, Dubai or HK - you are guaranteed an experience that is captivating. Unfortunately this is not the case in Nikko. I am not a hotel guest. But since I am in lake Chuzenji & have heard so much raves about the hotel, I thought I would drop by the admire the beauty & splendour of the Ritz in lovely Nikko. I didn’t have a restaurant reservation, but being low season in Nikko, I wouldn’t think it will be a problem to get a table for 2 for lunch? Unfortunately, I was wrong. So wrong. I was told the hotel is booked out the whole day for dining in Lakehouse? I enquired - how about any other restaurants? No, Mam. Non available. I can wait - it’s already 1.30pm, surely a table will open up pretty quickly in very quiet Nikko at the moment? The lady replied - that’s the thing - we are booked out the whole day, just for today. Well deeply, I cannot stop rolling my eyes. Fine, I don’t need to be captivated with the splendid of Ritz by Lake Chuzenji given the arrogance & lackadaisical service, just because I am not a hotel guest? Worse was this conversation did not take place in the warm hotel lobby. I was standing at the hotel entrance in cold winter afternoon. Thanks you Ritz, for the very very very cold reception. The pure ignorance & discrimination for non-hotel guest.I am truly enlightened.

The location of this hotel is very good, near the station, really very close, platform 28 is at the door of the hotel, the 26th station is about five minutes walk, and then the balcony can directly see Lake Zhongzen Temple, the hot springs are quite satisfactory, Breakfast is a rich buffet whether it is a buffet or a single meal. If there are few people in the hotel, it will be a single meal. The pork chops for dinner are really tender. Although the dishes are few, they are very delicate. The hotel staff are very enthusiastic and will recommend Attractions, it just snowed on the first night! Very happy.
