The dinner buffet was delicious, and if it were a hotel dinner, it wouldn't be expensive, but Kinugawa Onsen itself is too lonely, which is a shame. Maybe it's because I visited out of season. During the fall foliage and fresh green season, you can choose various activities and sightseeing.

It's about a 10 minute walk from the station. It's close to the famous suspension bridge, it's very clean, the facilities are new, and I thought the semi-open-air bath would be great! It also came with a washing machine, so I was happy to be able to wash it! There was a rice cooker and a barbecue stove, so I thought it would be easy to have a party.

I went with 4 family members. It was cheap for half board per night, so I was a little worried, but I was worried. The room had the next room like a mahjong room. It was a room that I had been to a company on a employee trip around the Showa era. It was old, but there was no problem with cleaning, and the mountain stream was overlooked and the view was good. The meal is buffet style. Alcohol is an extra charge, and there is an all-you-can-drink plan for 60 or 90 minutes, and it is better for those who say that it is alcohol. I had a 90-minute all-you-can-drink plan and enjoyed eating for 90 minutes. There were quite a few types of dinner and breakfast, and I enjoyed various things according to my taste. Maybe it was due to the time, but the meal and the hot springs were soaked that I was able to relax.

I used it for 1 night and 2 days without meals. Kinugawa, a famous lodging destination in Tochigi Prefecture, costs an astonishingly low price of 9,200 yen for two adults. Since we were staying without meals this time, we didn't have meals included, but Hotel Otaki doesn't provide meals, so you can move to the annex and eat your meals. There are no shopping places or restaurants in the area, so if you are staying overnight without meals, we recommend purchasing food and drinks in advance before checking in. Snacks, cup noodles, vending machines, etc. are available at the front desk, but they are expensive. To take a bath, you need to go outside and go to the large communal bath in the annex, but you can relax and enjoy the hot spring water with its quality and texture. In addition, the guest rooms have separate baths and toilets, so they are clean and beautiful, so it is recommended for those who cannot take a bath in the large public bath. Now, regarding the most important guest room, it was a 10 tatami room which was too large for two people. Unfortunately, it is not facing the river, so the view is not very good, but you can relax on the wide veranda while looking at the mountains surrounding the Kinugawa River. The air conditioning and heating system was old and installed on the floor, but it was very effective and there was also a fan, so you could adjust the temperature of the entire room. The only thing I didn't like was that the toilets on the lobby floor had wallets, but the toilets in the guest rooms didn't have washlets. If you really want to use your wallet, use the communal toilets on each floor. Now, for the important room.

I stayed here on June 9th. The response and guidance of the female employee who responded at check-in was very easy to understand. The room I stayed in was a smoking room, but it smelled like cigarettes. It's rare to find a room that smells like this. It is mandatory to specify a non-smoking room from the next time! The food buffet was rich in variety and delicious. As for the hot spring bath, the moonlight hot water was a little lukewarm. On the contrary, the hot water of Momoka was hot! Pension was cosy, clean and well equipped. Bath includes onsen. breakfast and dinner can be arranged with the host for a reasonable charge. It is quite a walk from the bus stop with rather uneven road if you have wheeled luggage. Owner was nice to give us a ride out (at her convenience) to the bus stop. View from room of Mt nantai is lovely and it is convenient to visit the waterfalls...especially yudaki which was the best in my opinion.

Really nice room with an epic view of the lake and enough space for everything. Meals are wonderful and abundant and a seasonal selection each day Perfect place to stay if you are planning to explore okunikko area or to cycle around the lake, there are also restaurants nearby for lunch. The public bath is very pleasant with an outdoor spring to soak in while enjoying an open sky. Found out there was a shuttle bus back to tobu-nikko station setting off at 11am from the hotel after speaking to a kind staff member, Diane. Do make reservations for the shuttle beforehand at the reception if you plan to take this as well. Rental bikes available at the Nikko natural history museum which is a 10min walk from the hotel

今回、久しぶりにNTT　OBとして利用しました。 鬼怒川温泉も寂れている部分があるのも致し方ないのですが、そんな中、凛と建っている、 品のある間接照明と清潔感のある館内施設、暖かいおもてなし等、久しぶりにゆったりした時間を過ごすことができました。 夕食では、酔いが回ったせいか、みそ汁をこぼしてしまったのですが、すぐに対応いただき申し訳なかったのですが、心遣いもありがたく思った次第です。 　いまでも十分ですが、さらなるおもてなしの気づきとして、２点提案させていただきます。 　まず1点。部屋の上がりかまちのところに、低い椅子があると助かると思いました。 高齢になり、スニーカー等の靴紐を結ぶ際、しゃがむのも苦しく、低い椅子に座れると楽に結べるかなと思いました。 すべての部屋に置く必要はなく、要望があれば準備するとか、もしくは高齢と判断したら準備しておく等でいいとは思います。 　2点目です。ベッドが柔らかすぎ、少々腰が痛くなりました。ベッドそのものは良いものとは思いますが、私が普段煎餅ふとんで寝ているためか、柔らかいベッドでは腰が痛くなります。 いくつかの病院では、入院ベッドのマットに工夫がなされており、一面が柔らかく、もう一面が固い仕様になっています。患者の要望に合わせ、表裏を返すのみで、患者の要望に応えられるようになっています。ホテルとしては、表裏を返すというのは無理かもしれませんが、固いベッドをいくつか準備するという方法もあるかもしれません。 　上記、勝手なことを言わせてもらいましたが、一考願えれば幸いです。

I visited with 7 adults. The weather was unpleasant, but I had a very memorable and wonderful trip. Arrived at the hotel before 11:00 by shuttle bus. I forgot the name of the person in charge, but thank you for the agility of the shortcut staff. The hot spring of the sulfur spring The skin became smooth and the hot water temperature was just right (this day was about 12 ℃) The washing area was separated by a partition and the water pressure was good. The breakfast and dinner were all very satisfying. Supper was a full course today, but all the dishes were made with plenty of local ingredients, and the amount was just right, and my elderly parents had all of them firmly. Of course, breakfast and omelets were delicious, and all the dishes were delicious and polite service was exhausted. Since it faces Lake Chuzenji, I'm sure you can see even more beautiful scenery on a sunny day. Also, the lounge for guests on the second floor is a very nice space. I usually don't say word of mouth, but I couldn't help but say word of mouth because the staff of 々, who I was looking forward to, were hospitality and the whole family was impressed. We picked the best time to go. The autumn colours were a cascade of vibrant brilliance and colour. We went here for hiking and sightseeing from a two hour train ride from Tokyo. We took an hour and a half bus from Nikko. You could buy a three day pass for 3,500 yen and stop offat different places on the way. Buses ran everyhalf hour mostly and were easy to navigate. The hotel is a traditional style accommodation. There was a group of four of us who slept in the 1 room. It was tight but we were rarely in the room and it was only an overnight so it was okay. 37,000 yen for the four of us. It was clean and warm when we arrived and very warm for the whole night. English is not great but they don't hold it against you and we had google translate. The onsen was amazing at an extra 600 yen tax. There are two. The sulphur smell was pretty strong throughout the night which was probably the only downside but I'm sure it would be the same in all the hotels in that area. We did have to get them to organise extra bedding which they were happy to do but you need to be very specific in what your needs were and be able to explain it. Ours came with a breakfast option at an extra 1000 yen each which was a traditional Japanese style and well worth it. There are no shops around the area so take your own snacks. No dinner options in the immediate area. Although you could probably do a 30 minute walk to the Falls where they may have some food options or there might be more options as borders open up. The lake walk is about 6k and very easy. Not really pram friendly. Great place to stay if you want to be away from the crowds of Nikko. The Falls walk is about 30 to 40 minutes and there is food available but I'm not sure when it opens or closes, a great place to have an ice cream and toilets. There are other hikes in the area but we ran out of time.
