The location was an hour away from Nikko. The lobby was fairly refurbished but the Japanese style room was kinda out dated. Dinner and breakfast were fun experience. We enjoyed our stay but if you are looking for something near Nikko, this is not it. If you are finding a quiet place to relax, this hotel does offer a unique experience

The location is good and the food is delicious. But I want food for my child. It was a very good inn. I think I want to go again.

The hotel service is very good. Excellent service There are tea and coffee drinks to drink until 22:30 and late-night meals, namely ramen, until 22:30 as well. Next time, I will definitely come back to use the service.

The hotel is located next to the bus station. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The special fireside dinner is delicious. There are free ramen late night snacks and a self-service drink area. The large bath and open-air bath are large enough and the water temperature is hot enough.

I made the trek here from Tokyo on a Saturday for the Yunishikawa-onsen KAMAKURA Snow House Festival which is only held from Late January to Late Feb on Fri/Sat and Sundays. Tips for making the trek - pre book the Fast Tobu train! I neglected to do this and with the help of a lovely man at the train station I ended up taking 5 x local trains and an hour bus making the trip 5.5 hours long instead of 3. Now to the hotel. It’s in a great location, right next to the festival hub but a short walk to the main centre of town ( which is very tiny). I didn’t pre book dinner or breakfast but took some snacks with me, however on arrival they advised they offer guests free ramen from 9-10.30pm which was delicious! The onsen was a new experience for me and one that I enjoyed. They offer very very comfortable pyjamas for your use while there as well. I asked on check out if they sell these pyjamas but they don’t :( I would have bought them if they did as they were perfect! The rooms are a little dated but comfortable and clean. The lounge area is lovely, wooden fire, free coffee, tea and juices and a wine dispenser with a good range of wines which you can easily charge back to your room. It was so relaxing just sitting by the fire and enjoying the views. One night was plenty for me but if you are a hiker then maybe a longer stay would be preferred. Making the trek back was easy. The bus that leaves from outside the hotel is timed to arrive at the Yunishigawa Onsen station with 10 minutes spare before the train arrives. Then a quick 2.5hours on the direct train back to Tokyo. If you are looking for a little escape from the noise of Tokyo then this is a lovely location in winter epically when the festival is on.

Closed to lighting exhibition as you can walk. Lobby was terrific but room was not like that. I stayed a night in Japanese styled room, it was stinky once I opened the door. There’s no restaurant to walk-in unless you not reserve hotel’s board. The only nearby restaurant was Yuba udon. It was very delicious but I preferred meat 😂

What and interesting concept. Restored in a very stylish, almost boutique hotel style way (lobby and lounge is very cool) but with vestiges of the old hotel here and there for chsrm.

This is a hotel I definitely want to visit again. The hospitality of the employees, the cleanliness of the building, and the food were all excellent. You can walk to Heike no Sato right in front of your eyes. The illumination at night was wonderful. There is a bar on the first floor where you can get drinks for free, but the quality is so good that you wouldn't expect it to be free. The dining hall is spacious and you can enjoy your meal leisurely without worrying about other people. The warm hospitality of the woman at the front desk and the elderly woman at the restaurant was especially soothing. The free ramen at night was also delicious. I have been to many hotels in this group, but this is the one I recommend the most.

The facilities are sufficient. The cleaning is also perfect. I think the staff is also very responsive. However, the dinner was poor. There is a hearth and it looks nice, but it is cold and disappointing. Breakfast was good. Why not try making dinner a little better?

In the middle of winter, when I checked in and entered the room, the air conditioning was not on. There was a kerosene fan heater, but since it was the middle of winter, it took a while for the room to heat up, and I was complaining about how cold it was. Although that was disappointing, the food and baths were very good and I was satisfied.

The hot springs were very nice. I'm glad that they offer free drinks and tandan noodles as a late-night snack. I liked that it was a samue rather than a yukata because it was easier to wear.

It would be nice if there were more entertainment facilities. The free drinks in the lounge were great. It was a little hot when cooking in the fireplace in the summer. Breakfast was very delicious. It would be nice if the men's and women's baths were switched in the morning and evening.
