"Superb hotel - clean, friendly, and great location. Car park nearby too (literally 4 minutes walk) and easy to get to everything in the city.

"Grainger Hotel is a nice hotel at all. The room is neat and the counter is very helpful. There is a supermarket nearby so that you can get everything you need. It would be a 30-minute walk from station to hotel and you need to walk up some gradient. The streets may be dirty so don't put bags on the ground. "
"The location of the hotel is very good, the room environment is clean and tidy, the bed is very comfortable to sleep, and there are a lot of varieties early, very rich. Will have the opportunity to stay in the future."
"Amicable staff
Comfortable, clean, warm room with heater
Huge bed
got everything we need (with kettle, hair dryer etc. )The only problem was the noise outside the room by neighbours at 2am
Otherwise, everything was perfect for a hostel"
"Frankly, the size of the room is beyond my imagination, very spacious apartment. The kitchen has everything that should be set. You can make breakfast and dinner yourself. We have one night to make our own seafood dinner. You can wash clothes. It feels like home. The facilities are old. Travel is also very convenient, very close to the train station and supermarket, will consider here next time."
"Perfect location, spacious room, clean linen, showering and toilet are clean, will definitely book again in the future
Though the wifi is a bit broken"

Great
JJonathanStaff at the front desk were really friendly. Given cookies at check in and sent off to sleep as we had a 3am wake up. Good hotel to stay at for Newcastle Airport, we rewuested a quiet room away from others as door slamming wakes us, and unfortunately the guests next to us (headboard side) kept going in and out of their room which shook the bed. So we didnt really sleep. However, this is more an issue with them than the hotel. The were really giving it some whammy.
MMichelle ElliottStayed one night - bank holiday Sunday in a Club double room with full English buffet breakfast and a drinks voucher each included. We stayed in room 511 which seemed slightly more spacious than other rooms of this type however only had a partial river view due to being at the end of the corridor. On booking we had requested to have additional pillows for the bed and this was done for our arrival. A very good overnight stay in a hotel located within easy walking distance of bars and restaurants on the quayside. Will be a returning guest .
DDanielle RixonAbsolute brilliant hotel, staff so friendly and welcoming, can I just say, paul on reception was an absolute legend, as I rang up in the morning to request an early check-in as we arrived after 12 and check-in wasn't untill 3, but paul put a lock on our room, so it was ready for us when we arrived, give that man a raise. Perfect location and comfortable rooms, will deffo recommend, and if im visiting Newcastle again, I think this hotel will be my first choice, depending on price. Thanx 😊 Danielle and Michelle from Liverpool
GGuest UserGreat location though a bit of noise audible from the bars around at night. This did seem to ease off after midnight however. Room itself nice and clean, bathroom very nice. The breakfast is just ok but can’t complain if included at the price. Overall would recommend.
PParnavsamOur experience at this hotel was fantastic.
**Location:** The location was ideal for nightlife, with laughter and excitement nearby. However, the hotel's corner position shielded us from noise, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep for our kids. It was just a 7-minute walk to Central Station and the town, surrounded by numerous restaurants.
**Service and Cleanliness:** We arrived before the 3 PM check-in and were allowed to check in early, despite the 4 PM policy. The room was clean and spacious enough for our family. The lobby had a lovely sitting area and a small bar, but we chose to explore the many dining options in the city instead.
GGuest UserI have been here before. Good things: convenient location to central train station and shops. Nice and relaxing swimming pool with jacuzzi and steam room. Rooms are OK but clean with coffee and tea and ironing facilitie. Staff generally friendly and helpful.
Good breakfast.
Bad things: dinner is limited options, expensive and not good value for money. To add an insult to the injury I had a dessert and there was 1/2 strawberry 🍓 on the top for decoration. I left to last bite to finish with and the taste was terrible. It had onions taste 🤧 my guess they used the same knife for cutting the onions for cutting the strawberry and it was not nice at all - just disgusting and unprofessional. Apart from this everything was good and I would be back but unlikely I would like to here again.
Mmimi210Staff was OK but the room this time I got it very very small, the bed also quite small. No kettle, no free tea, milk or coffee provided, no bar downstairs but the toilet in the room is very clean and very big . Overall it still a good trip
GGuest UserWe just stayed over night before an early flight next morning.Rooms are quite tired could do with a refurb.Food is good and bar has cheap drinks till 7 pm ,unfortunately although the bed was comfy the pillows were like sleeping on a boulder, they had no others to offer us,would still stay for the convenience.
GGuest UserThe staff at the hotel was very friendly. As we booked quite close to our actual trip date we didn't get a great room. Our room was at the end of the hallway next to the staff elevator. unfortunately, the door to that elevator was open half the time we were there with food scraps waiting to be taken away out in the open area. This led to ”food smells” being wafted into our room. we had to open the window the moment we entered our room because of the stuffy smell but once the window was open and there was ventilation, everything was fine.
KKing KouaméIt was an okay stay. The facilities are doable and the hotel is well located. It is within walking distance of the city centre, which makes for ease of access.
