"Good location. 8 - 10 mins from train station. Located at city center easy to access anywhere to China town, shopping mall and restaurants. Staff is cool without smile face, quick check in and check out. Room is clear and good size for big luggage. However a bit noisy at the night time because there’s a disco next to the hotel, weekend will be party at the night til late. Overall is good for us and will consider to stay next time."

"Grainger Hotel is a nice hotel at all. The room is neat and the counter is very helpful. There is a supermarket nearby so that you can get everything you need. It would be a 30-minute walk from station to hotel and you need to walk up some gradient. The streets may be dirty so don't put bags on the ground. "
"If it is on the front, the scenery outside the window is very good. You can see the park hill designed by famous architects. The location is very convenient. Tram bus is very convenient for walking. Choosing here is also just one stop from the train station tram. I used to stay at this hotel for one night and I feel that I can book it here, but this time I feel very average. But there are very few options in Sheffield city centre. The waiters at the front desk of the hotel are very enthusiastic and some have a cold attitude. The most unhappy thing about this trip was housekeeping. The first day was not cleaned. I didn't clean it the next day. I saw that she was very polite and she helped clean it. The woman said that she went home after more than the time, she only worked for a while. When I checked out, my diarrhea was ten minutes late, and the cleaner directly made a dissatisfied voice to me. I was really angry. I didn't complain if I didn't clean my room. The front desk said she would tell her to clean but she did not. As for seeing that ibis will compensate for the breakfast offer, this is not at all. Really the first to see such a housekeeping. Ibis is also a well-known brand. Although the overall situation did not feel very bad, but 4.6 is a bit high."

"Amicable staff
Comfortable, clean, warm room with heater
Huge bed
got everything we need (with kettle, hair dryer etc. )The only problem was the noise outside the room by neighbours at 2am
Otherwise, everything was perfect for a hostel"
"Frankly, the size of the room is beyond my imagination, very spacious apartment. The kitchen has everything that should be set. You can make breakfast and dinner yourself. We have one night to make our own seafood dinner. You can wash clothes. It feels like home. The facilities are old. Travel is also very convenient, very close to the train station and supermarket, will consider here next time."

GGuest UserThis was a fabulous stay
All Staff are a credit to the hotel, with spacious rooms, cleanliness top notch, everything you could need and require in your room, so many items that you would not even realise you would need was in the room, I liked the fact had a small functioning kitchen with hob and dishwasher, a recliner sofa to watch TV from, even tissue on the coffee table, instructions for the appliciances, cleaning products and safe... When I say they have thought of Everything I meant it! It like home from home.
The Rooms were comfortable, beds were a great size and so comfortable, very clean and fresh linens, big bathroom, good view from the floor we stayed on, breakfast was buffet style but well thought out and food fresh and hot, staff attendance was good ratio and they were attentive and very cheerful and helpful, also parking was a good price as well.
I was also impressed with the fact of small details like a 24hr pantry shop which perfect for family guests, quieter seating/dining area for guests who don't have children, children area, radio on for a cheerful breakfast experience.
Lots of little details and extras is what made our stay a good one, we will definitely use the hotel again, 1 million percent I'd recommend this hotel to others as well, keep doing what you do because your smashing it! And all at a good fair price as well!! A must try!
JJonathanStaff at the front desk were really friendly. Given cookies at check in and sent off to sleep as we had a 3am wake up. Good hotel to stay at for Newcastle Airport, we rewuested a quiet room away from others as door slamming wakes us, and unfortunately the guests next to us (headboard side) kept going in and out of their room which shook the bed. So we didnt really sleep. However, this is more an issue with them than the hotel. The were really giving it some whammy.
GGuest UserThe stay was decent for the price paid, though a few things could be improved. The food options were average – nothing particularly memorable, but edible. Do note that basic amenities like toothpaste and toothbrushes aren't complimentary here; you'll need to purchase them separately (packing your own is advisable). On the upside, the rates are undeniably affordable compared to nearby options. If you're on a tight budget and don't mind minimalist accommodations, this might work for short stays. Manage expectations regarding extras and dining quality.
PParnavsamOur experience at this hotel was fantastic.
**Location:** The location was ideal for nightlife, with laughter and excitement nearby. However, the hotel's corner position shielded us from noise, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep for our kids. It was just a 7-minute walk to Central Station and the town, surrounded by numerous restaurants.
**Service and Cleanliness:** We arrived before the 3 PM check-in and were allowed to check in early, despite the 4 PM policy. The room was clean and spacious enough for our family. The lobby had a lovely sitting area and a small bar, but we chose to explore the many dining options in the city instead.
GGuest UserWe checked in and checked straight back out again after going into the room. The room was tiny definitely not suitable for more than 1 person. The ”double” bed was pushed right up against a wall and wasn't much bigger than a single bed. Room was dusty all over. The bathroom was bigger than the actual room although you couldn't actually sit on the toilet properly as the sink cabinet was right next to the toilet. The room stank of food as I'm guessing was above the kitchen as the big fans were next to the window. Couldn't open the window as the smell of food was then even worse so the room stank like burger grease. Room was really hot as the radiator was turned on however couldn't turn it off and opening the window wasn't an option either. Reception area is really nicely presented but definitely not a reflection on the rooms which are poor to say the least. Ended up booking into a second hotel round the corner which is amazing complete opposite end of the scale in comparison to the first. Unfortunately meant we've ended up paying for 2 hotels just for 1 night but lesson learnt.
JJack and PaigeStaff on front desk was absolutely lovely, was able to check us in early. Gym was good size, pool was busy as they also sell day passes I think but still plenty space. Room was clean along with the whole hotel. Only complaint was that breakfast was astronomical (£20pp) especially for Newcastle, I would recommend taking the short walk into town for breakfast instead
MMichelle ElliottStayed one night - bank holiday Sunday in a Club double room with full English buffet breakfast and a drinks voucher each included. We stayed in room 511 which seemed slightly more spacious than other rooms of this type however only had a partial river view due to being at the end of the corridor. On booking we had requested to have additional pillows for the bed and this was done for our arrival. A very good overnight stay in a hotel located within easy walking distance of bars and restaurants on the quayside. Will be a returning guest .
GGuest UserGreat hotel which has kept it's grandeur. The room was spotless and the decor was minimalistic which was in keeping with hotel. It was a great price and I will stay again. Staff were friendly.
KKiwiChuThey have a good bathroom, which is clean and tidy. Although the view is not very good, the price is friendly , definitely will book again if I travel to Newcastle
GGuest UserThe hotel is located in the ancient city, with a very unique, classical and stylish decoration and appearance. You can walk to the river in a few minutes. Recommended! If you arrive by car, the hotel has a doorman to keep your car keys, which is quite interesting.
