The layout of the room is reasonable, exquisite and compact, with both artistic sense and practicality. It's super close to walk to Chinatown and Wall Street!

Service was great but my daughter left her headphones in the room and we called lost and found right after we checked out and no one returned my call. Had to call like 4 times and when I was able to finally talk to a concierge they said that there were not there!

Great location to be at, it’s a very busy hotel..
You can request toiletries from the housekeeping if you forgot to bring your own. Very thoughtful housekeepers who kept the room tidy although I had lots of stuffed toys all over.

The hotel has a perfect location in a great area in Manhattan, just on Times Square. The rooms are tiny but new and confortable, it is a good value for money all in all considering location in Manhattan. Highly recommended, i will definitely be back soon again!.
The location is nice, close to Times Square. The hotel is clean, as other Hilton hotels. Breakfasts are good too, with very pleasant service. But there are some things that left that bitter feeling after my stay that I would like to share.
1. Destination charge. This is the second Hilton hotel in New York I have stayed at, and both charged additional USD35 for so-called destination fee per night. As the receptionist said, it’s MANDATORY. This 35 dollars are charged per day and the guest must use it the same day, they don’t even accumulate. How do you spend it? In the hotel restaurant or bar. What can you buy with it? Three bottles of drinking water, or two cans of beer…. Why am I forced to spend my money on the things that I don’t need and that are so overpriced? You already charged me for the room, and I happily paid for it.
2. The hotel page here shows a picture of “swimming”. It’s a rooftop swimming pool. I was excited to have a chance to spend some time in the pool. The reception said there was none. Please remove the picture from the page, as it is misleading.
3. There is no tea or coffee in the room. That’s the amenity available in every hotel, even the cheap ones. But when we called the service, they said: no, we don’t offer coffee or tea. But they did bring us a kettle:) I can see that it’s not listed in the available amenities here, but I didn’t even expect that. It’s such a little thing that makes your guest’s stay more comfortable.
Anyways, it was quite a pleasant stay despite these unpleasant details. Thank you.

Stunning hotel. I just got a single room for myself and it was plenty big enough for me! Great location can’t beat it. Welcoming and helpful staff with a lovely café on the bottom level. Would recommend to anyone coming to visit the city!

The hotel is in a great location. Fascinating view.
Unfortunately, the lounge was closed from Friday lunchtime, making it unavailable for our stay :-(
Nice staff at check-in. Unfortunately, important information wasn't provided (or was only provided after the second request) (that you have a $15 daily budget for the restaurant and kiosk). The correct billing of this budget on our check-out bill was also only corrected upon request.
It could be better!
And, larger sheets would be welcome, so they don't constantly slide off the bed.

Pod Times Square is perfect if you are solo, great location, room was basic but clean, cleaned every day, clean towels, hairdryer and tv. My view was of the Hudson River, what's not too like. Walking tours every day if you are interested. Bar facilities, including happy 2 hours and coffee, muffins etc available for breakfast. I really enjoyed my stay here and would come back. I stayed in a Queen room which slept two which was fine for me, just be aware if you are sharing as it is small but hey how long are you in your room in NYC.

Subject: Complaint Regarding Our Stay from October 17th to 23rd
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to express our dissatisfaction with the experience we had during our stay at your hotel from October 17th to 23rd, 2024. Despite the high expectations we had for your establishment, several issues occurred that significantly impacted our stay.
For 3 to 4 days, we did not receive clean bath towels, despite making three requests. Each time, we were assured that the issue would be resolved promptly. However, not only was it not addressed, but on two occasions, housekeeping knocked on our door at 11:30 PM to deliver small towels instead of the bath towels we had requested. Being disturbed at such a late hour is unacceptable and baffling, especially in a hotel of this caliber.
Considering that we paid 1,870 USD for our stay, we believe that the service we received fell far below the expected standard. Therefore, we are requesting compensation for the inconvenience caused during our stay.
We hope you will take our complaint seriously and respond appropriately to our concerns.
We look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Laura Zarrone

After reading the reviews on here I wasn’t expecting too much from this hotel. I wanted to write some comments that reflect on the main themes I picked up (where they were similar and different). It seems I wasn’t charged the additional destination fee for my stay, although I had to ask a second member of staff to confirm as the first wasn’t clear. When I arrived for check in there was no wait. The staff member was not terribly friendly and welcoming. Of all the three hotels I stayed at in three different cities in the US, this stuck out as the poorest customer service. It wasn’t awful just not as welcoming as the other places. The information provided was not as clear and the general manner quite abrupt. The room was clean but the hotel generally was dated. The rooms didn’t seem fully clean or fresh but it was more that things were scratched, worn and dated rather than dirty. There were some stains on the carpet too. The location was, as others have said, excellent. I would have expected more for the price but it also was better than expected from reading some of the reviews on here.

ZZHANJIAStayed for three nights, the general feeling is average.
Location: The location is very good and very convenient. It is across the street from Central Station, where you can take the subway to almost any place in New York. There also seem to be buses to and from LaGuardia and JFK airports, but haven't tried them. There are many places to eat, and there is no problem filling up the stomach, but there does not seem to be a particularly good restaurant.
Facilities: The hotel itself is very old, so the rooms are older. Although it is a room facing the street, the windows are too small and the light is always dim. The air conditioner in the room was too loud and had to be turned off while sleeping. Fortunately, I don't need air conditioning when I go. If it is summer, it is probably a big problem. Maybe it is an old relationship, the smell of the room is not very good, but fortunately, the windows can be opened a little bit for ventilation.
Service: I have only dealt with the front desk and was very friendly at check-in. Overall, I think it is quite satisfactory, there is nothing to be picky about, and there is nothing outstanding. Breakfast is average, not included in the room rate, needs a la carte, not many choices, average taste.
Compared to the price, I feel quite disappointed. However, this is the heart of New York, understand. Will not stay again.

GGuest UserSince the check-in was the last day of 2023, the price was sky-high. I can only say that except for the attitude of the front desk service, everything else was not good. Don't expect too much when staying in a hotel in the United States, but the expectations for the facilities of this hotel were even lower than expected. There was nothing you wanted. The hot water for the shower was hot and cold. Halfway through the shower, I found that the shower gel bottle was a decoration. I called the front desk to send it, which caused my child to have cold symptoms the next day. Choose carefully.

GGuest UserThis hotel is very conveniently located in the middle of Manhattan, right next to NY Penn Station which has trains to both JFK (on the LIRR) and EWR (via NJTransit). My room was pretty small, but it had everything I needed. Everything appears to be clean. Staff were friendly and had me checked in and out quickly. I was provided with 2 complimentary bottles of water upon checkin.

FFliFlaThe location is very good and the rooms are a decent size, but mine was very dark (not that I care too much, as I was most of the time out). The breakfast was also very good, but extremely crowded no matter the time you went for it (not much the hotel can do if they are fully booked as it seemed in the weekend I was there). All in all, really good experience. I will stay again in it if the occasion comes.

DDaven AlexanderHappy overally with the stay, but I would recomend using a card for the deposit that you can lock.
At 1:00 am, THREE WEEKS after my stay, the hotel attempted to charge $50 on my credit card that I used for the room security. There was nothing that should have been charged, and the hotel advised that ”it was just our system” - no explanation why the ”system” was attempting to charge my card, and there were no incidental charges to the room.
I'm glad the fraud guard on my credit card declined the transaction, since I may have missed the charge if I were not alerted to the possible fraud.
GGuest UserThe room we stayed in for the first two days was small, on a low floor, and had only one window facing the patio, so the room was not well lit. The order was changed to the 12th floor for the next seven days. The room was also larger and had windows on both walls. After opening the curtains, we could directly see the street view of W 71st Street and the view of Midtown, which felt good.
The loud sound of the air conditioner was the only unacceptable problem, but this is a problem that many two- and three-star hotels in New York have, so we can only tolerate it.
The quality of service varies from person to person. Some front desk staff are friendly and some have average service attitudes. There is not someone to clean every day. I cleaned it myself in the first few days. Later, I found that the sink was blocked. I called the front desk and someone was sent to fix it. In the following days, someone came to clean it continuously, so it is also important to make requests. Most of the service staff are of South American descent and speak Spanish. They may not be good at English, so communication is a bit difficult.
The hotel is in a prime location, close to Central Park and the 72nd Street subway station, with convenient transportation. It is a quiet place in the bustling Upper West Side of Manhattan. It is highly recommended in terms of cost performance.
Attached is the street view taken from a room on the 12th floor of the hotel and the hotel front taken from W72 Street.
