Hotel room is the best, hotel staff is the best, location is the best. Will be my first choice for the NYC stay in the future. It is pricey but definitely worth it. Not very recommended for the breakfast in their restaurant. The staff was so busy with something else and we were just got ignored for a long time. Food and environment were great, but I was so unsatisfied with the service in the restaurant.

Refinery is first of all a good location. It ’s convenient to go to Broadway to watch a show or to go to midtown. The nearby Bryant Park has my favorite breakfast shop. West 40th Street has good Spanish food. Michelin ’s chef ’s table is the highest in the world at West 39. Street ... you can understand so much. In fact, the room facilities are just like that. In contrast, I prefer their hotel public facilities and bathrooms. Their rooftop is a relatively popular restaurant with nice night views.

Amazing hotel in the best area , close to everything . Hotel itself clean , cute cozy. Room is very decent, we see the Empire State from our room , breakfast has hot and cold stuff and to go food if you want for a snack , I loved their coffee. People from reception, breakfast team, housekeeping are decent , helpful and working hard. They hv a cozy cute table downstairs for a drink or the 26th floor which is the top notch to see NY and direct to the Empire State. My only recommendation pls do a deep clean for the carpet in z rooms as we noted stains . I def recommended and will go there again and again

”Hip” and ”boutique” has become a metaphor for dirty and unclean. The ”hotel room” was bare bones, dirty, with previous guests used personal toys left behind end tables. The small kitchen was barely usable - no under cabinet lighting, no dishwasher, small fridge, coffee maker dirty and unclean, same for the broken toaster, no dishwashing soap for even the small amount of utensils and glassware. No effort was made to clean underneath the bed; the bed itself sagged. The room view is into tenement like housing (if I wanted a West Side Story experience, I would go to the theater rather than pay for this cheap ...calling it a hotel is a stretch). The balcony is a joke (at worse a hazard (make sure the balcony door is locked.) The corner space between the top mattress and boxspring was dirty, crumbs, dust, etc - clearly had not been vacuumed or cleaned since the Roosevelt administration. Wi-Fi is subpar. Another effort by a non-corporate hospitality company (or whoever owns this dump) to milk tourists who come to New York by renovating whatever this building used to be into a sub standard ”hotel” rooms and skating by on ”location.”

Great location in Midtown, just blocks from the Empire State Building, Macy's, and several dining and breakfast options. Easy walk to subway and even Times Square (20 minutes). Rooms are small, but clean and very comfortable. (We were impressed by how much storage space was available in the room.) Amenities are not fancy (small restaurant with limited options, small gym), but it's an excellent starting point for exploring the city. There was some noise bleed from neighboring rooms, but none from outside.

Great location. But the service standards absolutely disappointed. In room telephone was not working and despite repeated complaints it was not repaired through my stay of 4 nights. So basically we had to go down all the way to reception every time we wanted something at the room. From toiletries to food to water. Even the front desk as well as the duty manager simply expressed inability to do anything about it Initially even some of the lights in the room were not working. Clearly one of the worst stays of my life at a big brand hotel All in all a big disappointment

Later, under the coordination of Ctrip, a part was returned, and Ctrip helped me to pay the rest. Thanks for Ctrip's support! The hotel received $ 162.76, but in the end it charged me $ 413.41, more than $ 250! The pre-authorization at check-in was only $ 187.76, and the front desk had no objection to the pre-authorization account at check-out. The remaining part was charged without my knowledge after leaving. What is the difference between stealing and stealing? And they are all received by mistake, and some fees are repeatedly collected. Later, with the help and coordination of Ctrip, the hotel promised to refund some of the fees that were repeatedly charged, and the overcharge of the front desk staff caused by their own mistakes was 125 dollars, and it was not refundable! Also on our last night helped us tremendously as far as transportation to the airport since there were road closures due to a parade We were able to get a car right at our door and not have to use a taxi nor other! This hotel is in a great location in Manhattan - close to Penn station and a host of subway stations. So much of Manhattan is within walking distance from this hotel! The staff was always friendly and helpful, even though the hotel was clearly very busy. Our room was actually surprisingly spacious for Manhattan standards. Yes, this is not the Plaza, but I found our room to be larger than many Manhattan hotels I have stayed at in the past. Our bed was very comfortable, the A/C worked well, and our room was very quiet. The bathroom was nice and again, large enough to not have to do acrobatics when using the toilet. The shower was large as well and we had great water pressure. The room was overall in very good condition and looked nice. The staff was always friendly, professional and helpful and never seemed rushed or stressed out, even though this hotel was obviously very busy and there were always people in the lobby. I can only recommend this hotel for anyone who is looking for a clean and quiet room in Manhattan.

Upon entering the lobby of the Draper Hotel you're greeted by the most helpful front desk staff. The rooms are comfortable and NYC size (small as most are). We had an excellent view the of Empire State Building. There weren't any issues with noise as the windows are double pane. I'd stay at the Draper Hotel again. It's near many food options and very pedestrian friendly area.
